Will's personality came out and his anger rose. "Don't you ever say anything about anyone being drunk!" He roared, scars of his childhood showing. Ariana slept on, hand falling onto Jesse's.

 

Tom thought about his answer for a moment. He wanted to say because she shouldn't be dead right now or something like that. But he then thought of the truth. "Because I'm selfish. Because I love her so much that I don't know what to do without her. Because she makes me happy."

 

Eris looke shocked.

Artemis's voice spoke suddenly from the edge of the clearing. She was standing over Angel's body "He passed your test, Eri." she said.

Eris shook her head "That can't be."

Artemis laughed "I told you he would." She picked Angel up gently and gave Tom a reassuring look to tell him she wasn't going to hurt her.

 

Ares appeared next to Eris and Artemis. "Sorry sisters, but I'll be taking your powers." He said, grabbing both their shoulders and absorbing their powers. He would stop these games.

 

Tom ran and pushed Ares away from them. "You can't take their powers away. Not while Angel is still dead. And don't say you can bring her back. I know you can't. Your power is with war, not life."

 

Will pointed at Angel. "She is already alive, I am just stopping them from interfering anymore." He growled, grasping their shoulders again.

 

"She won't wake up though." Tom said, getting in his way. "Don't lie to me saying you can wake her up. They need to wake her up."

 

Will stayed where he was. "Tom, I am making sure they don't kill her, I swear." He said, grip on their shoulders not stopping. Ariana crawled over and snuggled next to Jesse.

 

"Artemis won't hurt her." Tom told Ares. He moved Ares's hands off their shoulders. "They were testing me. They have no reason to harm her."

 

Eris shoved Ares away "Let go of me you fool!" she said irritably "Your wars are nothing without my chaos so you cant drain my powers." she walked over to Eris "We were done here anyway."

Artemis nodded and she picked Angel up again and carried her over to Tom "You had the power to wake her up this whole time. It has nothing to do with our power but we couldn't tell you unless we knew you were worthy to know the truth... you had to pass Eris's test."

 

"Okay." Tom said as he took Angel from Artemis's arms. "Then if I've been able to wake her up the whole time... Then how do I do it?"

 

Artemis laughed "With as much as a romantic as you are I thought you would be able to figure it out on your own." she said.

Eris nodded, "Maybe we should just let you solve this puzzle you've proven yourself to be so good at them."

Artemis nodded "But of course we wouldn't leave you hanging without a hint."

Eris nodded "Angel is like a princess in an enchanted sleep."

Artemis laughed "Way to give it away sis!"

 

Tom thought about it for a moment. And then he felt really stupid for not thinking of it before. "Really..." He laughed to himself. He did wonder why they made it so simple. Although perhaps it is better that it's simple after all he did. Tom kissed Angel.

 

As Angel awakened Tom regained his mortality again. Eris faided away, she lost her game gratiously but she died in the end. Artemis dissapeared as well but she just left.

 

Tom looked at her. Tears started to come from his eyes when he saw her eyes open. "You're alive." He smiled as he almost tackled her with a hug.

 

Ares stood there, waving his hand at Jamie. The wound healed and he was put onto the ground. "Now now sister, allow us to fight on my terrain." He growled, drawing the swords. They were all suddenly teleported to a battle-scarred wasteland. Ares' swords caught fire and he twirled them. "Now, we fight." He growled.

 

Ares' anger kicked up and he rushed at Hera. "Zeus failed but I won't, I will spill your blood sister." He said, stabbing her multiple times with the flaming swords and turned, roundhouse kicking her in the face.
