Used to be the greatest thing ever for me until they actually made the show stupid.
Before The Simpsons Movie and a few seasons before that, I used to worship the show, quoting quotes and singing the songs (still do sometimes =P), now I hardly ever watch it since they show the "newer" episodes, which are considerably terrible in my opinion. There's no more ha ha funny, it's all lame slap sticks and even lamer "in your face" jokes.

Everyone else's view on this lengthy cartoon series?

DX I used to love that show, but now, I take no interest in it. I mean Moe in love with a very very short girl. I really didn't understand that. THe newest show I remember is that some baby bullies was trying to beat up Maggie, Homer comes to the rescue, but the big bully baby went & beat up Homer real bad, which was actually quite amusing. XD

Homer getting beat up by a baby? Only someone with Drederick Tatum's (the boxing guy) strength can do that =\
After each injury, Homer was diagnosed with a large amount of Pain Killers (and getting addicted) thus allowing him to take more punishment than most can =P

As for Moe Syzlack, seems legit. He was always the Unsuccessful sleazy sex offender, who oggles the ladies in the Sears Catalogue. Seeing him with a short person is explainable. Either he likes easy game or is attracted to freaks.

I agree, the simpsons use to rather awesome, and it was funny.

I doubt i can say much to this discussion due to i no longer watch it anymore. Yes i have lost interest with the new episodes. Therefore i cannot properly critique them since i havent seen them.

The simpsons Movie had its laughs at first, but i didnt like the plot. It was predictable and there were only a few here and there good moments. Spider Pig, it gets old after a while. Where as watching some old simpsons episodes in my opinion never lost its laughs after having seen it time after time.

DX Not only that, I think Milhouse, Lisa, & Bart lost their touch. I mean, when Bart & Lisa was in the attic because they thought a ghost was in their, it always makes me laugh when Bart ditched her & Lisa was the only one in the attic video recording. Milhouse always gets talked down by Nelson & Milhouse be randomly funny. DX I even love the halloween shows when all of the teachers & Principal Seymour became zombies & wanted to eat the students! DX

As random and funny as most thought of it as. I was one who found it quite annoying.
Perhaps I'm an old man now =\
Before the episodes became stupid, I was a full on Simpsons nerd. Seeing them fall like this almost brings a tear to my eye =\
I mean sure Homer is supposedly meant to get stupider each season, but as of late, he's become too stupid that it's not funny anymore.

Random Fact for you SB. Milhouse is gay, as revealed in the episode where it shows how Lisa got her Sax (forgot ep name). No intentions, just the word Milhouse reminds me of that ep =P
And the Zombie ep you are talking about "Dial Z for Zombie" from "Tree House of Horror III"

I really did like the Simpsons, but I never knew they made new episodes, since I wasn't really interested anymore. Why? Because of Family Guy lol

Old Simpsons are legit. After the first few seasons, I could never get into it.

You're not funny, and neither was that quote.

XD Mikehu made me laugh with that last sentence. Anyways, The reasons I'm not interested is because I don't really watch the episodes anymore. XD The newest funny episodes I remember seeing is Lisa & this other girl who always dream taht they're in the fantasy world & they then ended up in a abandoned tavern & made it their fantasy castle without knowing that they is actually in a abandoned tavern. XD

When I was growing up, my family used to watch this all the time. However, I haven't actually seen an episode in a few years. I just sort of outgrew it, I guess. But back in the day, it was hilarious.

I enjoyed the movie. Homer being swung on the wrecking ball between a rock and a hard place.

But the main thing that dissapointed me was when the left out a certain part. On my Ice Age 2 dvd, they showed a scene. It was Homer mushing the dogs. It had a hillarious part that they didn't in the movie.

Homer: 'Run. Run. Run. That's enough whipping for today *pauses for a moment* With this arm *puts whip in other hand* Run. Run. Run'

I just always found that part hillarious.

That reminds me of one episode. Homer had a huge jar of painkillers or something. And then Bart stole it. Homer chased him through the house. They got to the garage, and the garage door was closing. Bart slid under it, and Homer ran into it. Homer was put in a coma. Later at the hospital, Bart was appologizing for all the bad things he's done to Homer. Then the heart monitor equipped to Homer designed Bart's head with each heartbeat. Then he wakes up and strangles Bart.

Family Guy is stupid. It really is just a copy off of Simpsons. Family Guy isn't funny because it's too predictable. The only really funny thing about Family Guy is their fight scenes.

Speaking of Family Guy, there was this one Simpsons episode where they go to Italy to get a car for Mr. Burns. The car gets damaged, an they end up at a town where Sideshow Bob is mayor. Lisa gets drunk, and reveals Sideshow Bob is a criminal. So some Italian guy opens up a book of American criminals. It shows Peter Griffin, saying he's a plagiarist. It then shows the guy from American Dad, saying he plagiarizes the plagiarist.

It was a jar of pennies. It was a parody of Indiana Jones. That was one of their desperate clip shows that they had to or wanted to make =P
The original Clip was from one of the earlier episodes. *needs to find that simpsons guide book I used to have*

You can't compare the two. The Simpsons are just too great =D
Family guy approaches with a "Random" type of comedy. It used to work but doesn't anymore. Furthermore, all the jokes are the same
"Do you remember the time when we_____" *flashback* *insert joke*
And repeat that. That's what Family Guy is.

I find this occurring numerous times. The Simpsons have also done Southpark, Southpark have done The Simpsons.
Kind of a War between Cartoons.
