Yup, it's nearly been a week since Saw 6 came out and already talk about MORE Saw films is being made. And they're not talking about one more. Oh no. They want to do three more, possibly four, and Saw 7 will be in 3-D!!! I'm a fan of the Saw series but the way they're stretching it and want to do it in 3-D now........

One can only ask: "How many damn games do you want to play Jigsaw? HOW MANY?!"

What's your input on all of this?

Saw is a stupid concept for a movie in the first place. Jigsaw is a psycho. He should've been killed as soon as he was discovered.

And they should've ended the series. Never have made it into a series, actually.

    exactly

i just wish this series would fucking die already.

they should have just stayed with the original and maybe the sequel but Saw 3-6 are incredibly bad.

How and why is it a stupid concept?

I think it's brilliant, to be honest. Especially with this last addition to the series. It was extremely political and it made a lot of well rounded points. I think that the Wall Street CEO's that steal billions of dollars out of this country should be obligated to go through one of Jigsaw's 'tests'. Seriously, with enough people they're responsible for so much suffering in this country and world wide, its ridiculous.

If you think it's all about killing, you're pretty narrow.
And Saw's only going up to 8. It's been confirmed. It was supposed to stop at 2, but it kept going.
At this point, Jigsaw's tested everyone involved with his cancer-fiasco and his son being killed prematurely.

They need to stop. Unless of course...he really isn't dead and they take the concept introduced in this new one and bring him back or something. I hate this new guy. He's too one sided, stubborn and vengeful.

The games aren't meant to just be some twisted means of revenge.

They're meant to test someone's will to live, when that someone isn't appreciating the life they've been given or is going around damaging others and not caring about it.

A guy kidnapping people and putting them through death traps because he believes they do not appreciate life. And that he believes that he knows exactly what it means to appreciate life because he had some inoperable cancer and was about to die, but then was miraculously cured. Who is he to judge whether or not people appreciate life?

And true, he may not kill them himself. But in a way he does. All the targets, he seems to be able to understand them psycologically. So he knows if that person is able to pass his tests. And how many actually passed his test?

For example, in Saw 2. The one policeman who's only test was to listen to Jigsaw's story and watch his son nearly die several times. Jigsaw knew that the policeman would fail the test, and instead follow every breadcrumb that led him to being locked in the bathroom.

Personally I don't see what the big deal about Saw movies are. They are pretty aiiiiight, not terrible, but certainly not that good

TBA I've only seen part of one. Its quite the morbid movie I'm not even sure which one it was I was watching but seeing as I was babysitting and thats not exactly appropriate television for children under the age 7... or quite a ways over it for that matter, I changed the channel.
It seems to me like the concept is a bit twisted but my sister, who has watched all of them and was recently telling me all about it, has decided they are brilliant. I may not have seen them but I get the general idea, bad guy named Jigsaw kidnapps random people and locks them up and plays a game of cat and mouse/life or death. Though all of the victims seem to die in very tragic and disgusting ways. It gives the morbid and horror movie loving mind a thrill and they seem to be making big bucks for the series but up through ten seems to be a bit overkill.

Jigsaw actually wasn't cured at all, didn't you watch any of the movies? And it was extremely evident that those people didn't appreciate their lives. Didn't you listen to his analysis of them? Every single person connected to him except for his wife ended up betraying him. Due to that, he decided to test them because he kept a close watch on the people that screwed him over and realized that all they were doing were continuously going into the same patterns of only caring about themselves, doing things for personal gain, not giving a damn about anyone else, and so on.

The people he tested continuously hurt their loved ones around them and hurt a multitude of others because they simply didn't care or valued their lives enough to better themselves. When he tested all of those people, people such as Amanda, and more than 10 other people actually managed to survive them because it was evident that once they were met with either getting decapitated or helping themselves, they chose to live.

Each trap Jigsaw set up was basically a metaphor for the kind of life he watched the person live. The larger traps that involved more people were meant to represent a common bond of mistrust, deception and manipulation. Then the pain inflicted in order to 'save' themselves is the sacrifice they had to make in order to separate themselves from that 'lifestyle,' or rather 'the trap' that Jigsaw had set for them. It makes a lot of sense if you consider how many people can slide out of jail and how many corporate bastards there are that never taste any bit of justice.

The only way to truly 'get' to someone that has a soul that is long far gone is through inflicting physical pain to bring them back to reality. That was an aspect of Jigsaw's philosophy. When that one guy ended up running out of the hospital in a panic and slammed that door into his wife's pregnant stomach but ran off as if he didn't care...if that was YOUR wife, wouldn't you want justice?

Or consider going to your insurance company to try to get them to cover your health when you're already on your death bed and you have the money and everything, but their policies refuse to cover you, even if you manage to survive all so your family won't have to pay for it? Imagine sitting across from that health insurance business owner, watching as he smiles even though he's telling that he's basically going to let you die?

    Wouldn't you want justice?

And Jigsaw actually doesn't set traps in order to set people up to automatically fail them. Each person that's in a trap by him is carefully designed so that person can escape as long as they heed by the rules and are psychologically moved within themselves...

..to make the right choices. By 'right' those aren't jigsaw's perceptions of 'right.' Those are the 'rights' that are seen and experienced by loving and caring individuals of the human race.

No one has the RIGHT to determine who appreciates life and when that life should be tested. But regardless, that's what Jigsaw's philosophy was. And that's what separated him from other movie villains. He didn't directly kill them. He gave them tests and incorporated an unusual philosophy that didn't involve vengeance, but rather will power and fortitude.

Saw should have ended after 2... maybe 3. Havn't seen any after 3.

Number 1 was amazing though, the idea hadnt really been done before, it was a fresh change from other horror / thrillers but now its along the lines of "been there done that".

To make it clear,I have never watched Saw.I cant STAND horror movies, not because they are bad,Im sure some are good, but because I just cant.If you ever hear/have heard a guy scream like a little girl during a horror film, that would be me if I ever went to see one.

I have read the plot though, still makes me feel sick. But I get what Jigsaw wants, though I really wouldnt want to be one of the people he puts through those traps. However, the movies probably are not as good now after going for so long, more so if it is true that it was supposed to end with 2.Executive meddling anyone? But if I was into the horror,I would like this, but by now think it should end soon.

Seriously this series is turning out so bad, their really milking the franchise on this one.

People have to realize that life is a bitch and then you die. Thats how it is, its how it has always been. Survival of the fittest. That is nature's law. I dont think some old douche bag playing judge on peoples lives amounts to any sort of justice. Even so in the end justice is blind so Jigsaw is just as guilty to suffer the horrific fate of any of his victims.

-____- Just do it in 3-D & end it already. At least the Harry Potter series had it's limits & decided to end at 7 instead of just going on & on.

Well Harry Potter is based of the novels.

Saw... kind of stretched on. Unless I am misinformed.

I loved the first one. Low budget, and they made it something amazing.
I've seen only the first and 4th. The 4th wasn't the same as the first in a sense of greatness.

To interject, they are making EIGHT movies for the harry potter series. So they are milking it,though atleast the last movie can be more faithful to the book.

I don't give a care. What's good is it to make a series that never have a stop to it? It gets annoying.

I love the Saw movies. But it is being dragged out just a bit. But at least there were finally real SAWS in Saw V! (disturbing. . .)

But anyway, it is becomeing a bit dragged out, and not to mention that Jigsaw is dead now, and its just a replacment on the job now.

Ive seen the first four, loved them. And why shouldn't they milk it? EVERYTHING is being milked, everything so i don't see why saw shouldn't keep making them. Although i haven't seen the latest two, im sure there as good as the others(apart from the second which was the best)

I think they should end it sometime soon. It will get old, Jigsaw games after jigsaw games. Unless a new twist is added, something original. I find the movies get worst as they go along.
