Two shots echoed through the air. Without any problems the two P.K.ers fell like rag dolls. Their bodies flickered and glitched before each laughed, taunting their prey. Swift rose from his hiding place and pushed back the green cowl that hid his blond hair. "Two more down. P.K.K. is getting too easy these days." Heading down towards the lowly player who had been their target he stretched out a hand. "P.K.K. Swift, steam gunner. Hope you're all right." His eyes looked down at Reo with not a single emotion passing over his face.

Reo looked at the Steam Gunner that had just saved his life and slowly got up to his feet and sighed with a shaky relief . "Jeez, thank you so much. They had just told me what a P.K. was . . . even though I read up on this game before playing, I guess I don't know everything, ehe." he clicked on the "Sweat Drop" action and a large, light blue raindrop appeared to the side of his characters head. He looked around and noticed that the user's shining etches were gone. "Umm, if you don't mind me asking, or well sounding like a total ditz . . . what do P.K.K.'s do?" He caught himself and thought "Dumbass!" he sat back in his chair and breathed out whispering, "Idiot, idiot, idiot!"

Zan was over listening to what Wraith and this girl was speaking about. He really didn't care, what was messing him up was how he was one of the only black people here, it was either white or Asian it seemed like. He thought: i guess it's not just the movies that only one black person has a part with a all white cast. Then he went over to Wratih," Hey man look, i think i'm going to log off okay, so i'm going to find a gate and get out of here, i got like home work to do." he told him, they said there goodbye's and Zan was off, he found a gate and a guy standing there. Before there was another one but he was gone. The man standing there with what he thought was a gun. He was kinda afraid he was going to get bat up again but the guy was gone. So Zan logged out and fell into his bed. And feel asleep.

 

O.O.C.: Right now Haresuno and dark knight Genesis's characters are somewhere else. I'm guessing Hidden, Forbidden, Holy Ground. Haresuno's second character came in from the Root Area and saved my character from two P.K.'s.

 

Wraith looked intrigued with the title. "Please, tell me more." She nodded and said "Well, Skeith was the Terror of Death." "His power was that of a rival with Death." "Hence the nickname." "Anyways, it said that the Gods feared Skeith's lust for power so they decided to seal him away forever." "As the legend was told of course." Wraith was amazed. "Wow." "The power that rivaled Death's very own." "Amazing." Yui smiled and said "Yep." "Sounds pretty cool all right."

"P.K.K. stands for Player Killer Killer. We are the people who track down and kill P.K.s - just like I did now. It's lucky for you that I was here. This is one of the more popular Lost Grounds known. P.K.ers use it as a place to carry out a shock-and-awe type plan. My next piece of advice for you is to leave here as soon as possible. Those two will be back as soon as their data is restored and they've re-spawned."

Reo sheathed his weapons and stood in front of the Steam Gunner. He looked left then right and spoke to him. "Yeah, I'm a n00b . . . but I know a lot about the so before you say anything, just to tell you, I'm not some typical n00b all right?!" Re was desperately trying to hide his shame. Of course he was grateful to the Steam Gunner for saving his life, but just felt that it was down right rude of him to look down on him with that kind of facial expression. "Whatever, at least he saved my ass."

"What ever you say kid," he replied with out the slightest change in his face. Shrugging he turned and headed back to the Chaos Gate. Resting the gun across his shoulders he stated without looking back, "Riding the wake is Skieth, the shadow of Death, to drown out all that stands." After finishing that he laughed and gated out.

 

Wraith looked at the statue with interest. "Sketih." "The Terror of Death." "Its Power that even rivals Death." "That power must be great." Yui listened to him and said "Yeah." "It must be something since the Gods sealed him away." Wraith looked at her and said "Yeah." "I wonder..... if you can find Skeith's sealed place." Yui turned to him and said "Actually, theres a place like that." "THey say only the chosen one can go there." "One that accpets death and loneliness with his PC." "Maybe we could check it out." Wraith then said with a smile "Yeah."

Reo looked at the floor and bit his nail at his desk. "Hmm," he began to think, "What the heck ind of riddle was that?" He had played M.M.O.R.P.G.'s before with weird riddles but he was able to figure them out anyway, but his one was the strangest one he had ever heard. He decided to think nothing of it and walked back to the town. He clicked on his character's status and read his stats. Reo's eyes widened slightly at the quick growth he had just experienced even though he hadn't even killed anything. "Guess this game is just awesome like that," he thought and continued into an inn in the Root Area and sat down in a chair.

He watched the other players move around and talking. He saw that some were in private or group chats but he didn't care. An N.P.C. came up to him and asked him if he wanted anything. He said no and the N.P.C. moved onwards. "Wow . . . even the N.P.C.'s are amazing." Reo had then realized something, something that would change his life forever. He had gotten to really enjoy The World only after a few hours of playing it.

 

Yui grabbed his hand and giggled. "Come on!" "Lets go to Skeith's sealed place." She kept dragging him to the chaos gate in front of them. She then said the three keywords. "Fallen God's Altar". Then all of a sudden, they appeared in a barren land with a altar in the middle of it. Yui pointed at it and said "This is it!" "This is where Skeith is supposed to be!" Wraith looked at it and said "Skeith...."

Reo laughed and joked with a small group of players and was having a great time. "So Reo," one of the players started, "What brings you to The World, eh?" the players at the table looked at him and he felt as if a giant laser was boring right through him. "Well," he started, "I came to The World because, we . . . Hell, I just wanted to have some more fun." The other players nodded in approval and they kept on talking and cracking jokes.

 

Admin -- Nero: Level 7! + Zeke: Level 6!

Nero took a deep breath as he felt more power flowing through him. He was getting more powerfull by the minute. It was like he was actually in the game, like he was breathing it in!
He cracked his neck a few times and walked towards the giant boss. He put his foot on the dead corpses back and stuck his gigantic lance into the ground, as the flames stolled as they touched the cold earth. Steam emenated from it's inside, up into the air with a hissing sound.
"Aaaah.. so, that should do it." he said. Zeke walked towards him with his gunblade behind his head, with a laid back attitude. "Yup, that wasn't that hard now, was it?" he continued slowly.
"Let's head back to the chaos gate, for it's still weekend. No school yet." Nero said.
As they all walked towards the nearest gate, Nero spotted a small emotion in Zeke's eyes. Hmm? Is he planning something? he thought to himself.

 

Karite was glad that the fight was over and glad that he had worked in the party well. It wasn't like him to hang around others much, or long for that matter. He took one last glance at the dead boss, just to notice it's code be deleted as it vanished. Karite knew that as soon as someone chose this mission, the boss would respawn for them to fight. That was the way of 'The World.' Karite headed back to the chaos gate and gave a small thanks to Zeke and Nero before heading through the gate back to Mac Anu.

Ken woke up in his bedroom, his mom was calling him to come down for dinner. Had he been out that long? When he didn't do anything in the World at all really? He went down to the table with his family, he had only his mom and brother. Only his brother was older than him and was working to help out the family. His mom didn't make that much money so his brother had to help. They where making alot to keep this house up and car. They where doing better then most families these days. Ken himself cut grass, he made $100 a day sometimes if lucky, by only cutting fives yards for $20. So he too helped out. His brothers name was Chris, and was close to being a good brother as Duffy Duck was smart. "So little bro, what you sleepin all day for?" Chris asked him. "I was just a little tired."Ken told him. "Well i think you've been playin the World again."Chris said "You know aren't supposed to after what happened there." Chris continued. But before Ken could say anything there mom told them to stop and say grace. After they did Ken left and went up to do his homework.

 

Yui grabbed Wratih's hand again and started running towards the altar. "Come on Wraith." "Lets get moving." She started laughing as she ran. Wratih watched her smile and laugh. He thoguth to himself "Wow." "Looks like shes having fun." He smiled and said "Lets hurry." He then started running fast as her. They both reached the altar's step in a couple of minutes and looked at eacother. .We *pant* made it pant*." "*pant* Yeah *pant*."

 

When Karite was back to the root town, he first saved his game before checking out a few missions. He knew that the last mission was hard so he wanted to try a search mission just so he could do a relaxing mission. He picked out a simple one and headed to the chaos gate. He entered in the area location and appeared in a temple area.As Karite looked around he saw writing on the walls. He looked up at it and read the first line. "Legend of the Epitaph and Avatars."

 

Adept Rouge Level Up. Level 3 0/3

"Haseo?" Gerik asked. "I've heard many rumors about Haseo. Where to start?" Gerik kicked open another treasure chest, gaining a second Symbol Fragment. "I heard that when Haseo was a PKK, he was called the 'Terror of Death' and he defeated 100 PKs at once. That he was the first PC ever to become Arena Emperor for all three Palaces. And that he had his PC hacked a few times. One of those times to get a third job extension, the Xth form."

 

Level up! Now level 6!

So the in the original World, the Avatars were monsters created by the games main A.I. and then when the World R:2 came about, they were implemented as the Avatar and Epitaph system in the legends. Karite was reading all the info off thee wall. He had known a little about the Avatars, such as how they broke the rules in the game with impunity but the history was new to him. As he read he learned more and more. The Avatars bind themselves to specific users without their knowledge. The user then uses the Avatars power to combat virus' or other Avatars. Their power once caused a system reboot that erased all virus. If this power still exists... I need to finish this mission and start searching for the Lost Weapons. They're the keys to unlocking the Avatars higher powers. Karite quickly ran down the temple hall, intent on completing his mission so that he could start a new search.

 

They started walking all the way to the top of the altar. Once they got to the top. They saw a black pedestal with a cirlce on it. It had a flame isignia on it. Yui walked closer to it and said "Wow." "That pedestal... its amazing." Wraith kept looking at it. "That pedestal....... power." "I wonder if its power is locked inside of it." Wraith kept looking at it. "Skeith...... are you locked inside that pedestal?"
