Jeantress charged again, this time connecting with her target and sending Garnex flying, "THEN WHY?!?!?" She fired a reflect beam at the still airborne Garnex, sending him flying further into the air. Chasing after Garnex, locking her weapon with his. The two floated in the air for a moment with complete silence, "Just as I thought." She sent him to the ground with a sphere of reflect energy. Garnex hit the ground with a resounding 'SLAM!' Jeantress looked at his beaten body on the ground, "ENOUGH TALK! LET'S END THIS!" With that, she flew at blinding speed at Garnex.

 

"I know right? Can you believe those missions you sent me on took me so damn long? And I didn't get to fight as much as I thought - what a jip!" Forcing a fake scowl, Ronxsouj shook his head, "Well at least I'm back now and in good time I'd say. Looks as though you've started something really big while I was gone. Wanna fill me in?"

 

Jeantress grew wide eyed. She did remember. She remembered that her brother would do anything for her, even sacrifice his own life. She remained firm in the grip of her shield, not letting Garnex escape. "Ragen......." a small tear rolled down her cheek and she smiled, "Thank you." the smile turned into a frown, "But......I..........I can't go on anymore.....not if you're still alive.......I......I just can't forgive you........" Her grip was starting to loosen on her shield, "One of us will end here......and if you truly care for me as a sister.......You won't let it be you......"

 

"Oh! Hey~ did someone drop the thermostat in here? I think the temp just dropped to twenty below!" As if to emphasize his already dramatic statement, Ronxsouj wrapped his arms around himself and began to shiver noticeably. After a few moments though, he could tell that his joke wasn't working and knocked off the act.

"Listen Obby, I've been gone for how long now? And here I am, standin' before you with good news for ya' and you're treating me like a dog with fleas. I dare say that I'm offended - well ... as offended as I can get without being in a fight."

Taking two steps forward, the Hollowed let the seriousness sink in, "Come on man, tell me what's been goin' down."

 

Jeantress got up and examined the wound in her chest. She looked at her shield, which had a huge hole in it, and it violently shattered into pieces of glass, which disappeared. Jeantress gave a wry smile, "It is finished....."
She collapsed into Garnex's arms, and pieces of darkened glass started to float up from her body and into the sky. She didn't look at her brother, for she had mixed feelings about dying. On one hand, she was happy that she finally found release in death, and she wouldn't have to fight anymore. On the other hand, here she was, on her death bed, and she still couldn't bring herself to forgive her brother. Then she thought of the young ones, with her gone, who would protect them? Jeantress looked at her brother and was about to say something, when suddenly, a vision flashed into both Jeantress and Garnex's minds: a forgotten memory:
The memory was of a young Jean and Ragen, sitting on what appeared to be a makeshift room for Jeantress at the orphanage. They both were looking at the floor, with sad faces. It was their end of their first day in the orphanage, after Ragen had defended Jean from the bullies.
"Why did the heartless take them away?" Jean asked.
"I....I don't know...." Ragen answered.
All the sudden, the silence was broken by someone else weeping loudly in the other room. The crying was easily recognized as Ragen's love, who had lost her parents mere minutes ago.
Jean looked at Ragen with a brightened perky face, "Well? What are you waiting for?" she asked him.
"Huh?!?"
"Go! She needs you!"
"But what about you?"
"Heh! Don't worry! I'm stronger than her! No offense. She needs you more than I do." The whole time Jean said this, a sincere smile never left her face. "I'm not asking! Heh heh!" She said, laughing, and began pushing Ragen towards the door.
"Ha ha ha! Okay! Okay!" Ragen answered, walking on his own towards the door. But then he was stopped by Jean.
"Hey!" She said, looking directly into Ragen's eyes, "You promise me you'll protect her, alright? I know how much she means to you, and I don't want to see you sad, okay?"
Ragen was a little stunned by his baby sister's rather mature statement, "Okay. I promise." he answered, walking into his love's room. Jean poked her head into the room, avoiding being seen, and saw that it looked like his brother's comforts were working on his love. Jean was crying, by she smiled and they turned to tears of joy. Deciding to leave the two alone, Jean decided to walk to the playground. It was empty, but that just meant Jean could have some alone time too. She started to walk over to the swings, when suddenly a NovaShadow appeared in front of the defenseless Jean. Jean didn't even have time to scream before the NovaShadow took her heart....

 

"AAAW! Tis a shame!! I wanted youto die but seeing you have to suffer for killing your sister is all the more fun for me to see you be in misery!" The dancers pretended to cry but had a smile on their face as they helped her from the throne as she started to walk closer to Garnex and the dying Jeanstress. "Let's see... what to do... I wonder how she would feel when she sees you die."

"You dog." Siah started to smile as she started to open the door and saw the keyhole, Obsession and Ronxsouj. "Well well well. What kind of strong man are you? You're just like milk and butter but I'll come back for you later." Siah then walked up behind Obsession and put her staff around his neck. "How in the world can you say that you're struggling to keep a failed organization together and you're a fool to be a traitor to me? I'm the one who helped you make this group." Siah then pushed Obsession and walked up towards the keyhole. "Power and virtue is not of someone who is not of knowledge."

Jeantress was speechless. Everything. Everything she felt. It was all a lie. Slowly, she turned her head to face Garnex, "Ragen.....I...." Jeantress didn't know what to say, "I.......I....." Tears started to pour down her cheeks, "I'm......I'm so sorry......I don't deserve it......but I.......but I beg your forgiveness...." She managed to choke out between sobs. Rain started to slowly, but surely, drop from the skies. "Ragen.......I don't blame you......for hating me......I hate myself....."

 

Jeantress tried her best to keep herself from bursting apart in tears, "Ragen......." She weakly picked up the locket and looked at the picture. She smiled a bit, "Ragen........heh.......was I really that round-lookin'?" She looked ahead of her and saw that Xiana was waiting. She looked back at Garnex and her voice took on a serious tone, "Ragen......you don't owe me anything.....and I understand if you don't listen to me....but promise me three things.......One: the little ones......all of them....especially Terranam and......damn...I don't remember his name.....I already failed Shini, but......keep them safe......okay?" Jeantress took in a deep breath and continued, "Two: My leader.....Obsession.......don't let him win......if he does.....you'll disappear.....you'll die......I don't want that to happen......" Jeantress grunted in pain and continued, "Three: Work with your friends....whoever they are......form Kingdom Hearts.........take your heart back......bring her back to life.....you know who I'm talking about....." she said with a smile.

Jeantress looked at her brother and the rain fell on her face, leaving her tears indistinguishable. She smiled, "I do." her smile faded and she said "I'm sorry for what I've done..." She started to fade even faster, and her face was the only part of her body that was nearly transparent, "I'm so sorry...."

 

Rixion was in Hollow Bastion for the Hollowed. Rixion had just woken up from a long slumber. Rixion yawned and said"I wonder were everyone is". Rixion looked around Hollow Bastion for the Hollowed and found no one there. Rixion began to get worried."Hmm....wonder were everyone is"Rixion said." I can't even sense anyone near by......wonder whats going on."Rixion said.

 

Back on the mountain in the Land of Dragons, an injured Rixais was awaiting help from his leaders, "Where are they?" Rixais grunted. Suddenly, four NovaShadows appeared a few meters away from him. "Get back!" He said, blasting one of them away with a sphere of light. Though the heartless fell, another one quickly took its place. Rixais was about to destroy another, but his injuries stopped him, and the release of energy knocked Rixais out cold. The unconscious Rixais was defenseless against the approaching NovaShadows.

 

After a brief moment, Obsession followed Wrath's scent of power in the corridors of darkness in order to track him down. As he finally found out his location, he warped himself to the throne room where Wrath was waiting. He glared at the broken ceiling and the icy walls of the castle, and underneath his mask he grinned slowly. He now concentrated on Wrath, who sat on the throne.

"After all these years of friendship, I always knew your hunger towards ultimate power. I didn't want to mention about it to you, since I knew that eventually, I would love this schemes and plays that you and Nate put our team through. Nate wasn't too fond of the "organization" that we had... master of the Powerwilds, and yet, a brainless monkey himself", Obsession said as he started to walk around the hall and touch the walls with his gloves. They didn't burn, but the walls slowly melted a bit every time when his fingertips touched them.

"Now then, tell me Wrath. You do not anymore seek power as you seek yourself as God. You made an icon of yourself and you knew that eventually that power would cost the lives of your precious friends, such as Nate. I'm surprised that you didn't help him out, since that fool Nobody had the power of light. And a heart, who knows? Ha! If I would had a chance to slice him up and make research on him, it would had been much interesting", Obsession said as still continuing to examine the walls.

A short moment later he drew his katana from his waist and pointed it at Wrath from a distance.

"Shall we finish this chapter, then?"
