  1. I've seen my best friend play this game a couple of times and never picked it up myself but would love to so I would like to talk about it here in this thread :3

im not gonna lie, dragon age is pretty good...although it is a bit on the gorey side...

  3. I don't really mind the gore in the game. It adds to it because it's a darker game.

Buy it, it's worth your while after you have completed the first one - otherwise you don't get much out of the plot, lol.

  6. A friend of mine has both the expansions and keeps pressuring me to play it. I actually might. It looks so awesome.
How long is the original storyline?

    On Awakening?

I'm not sure, it's quite long, since I have been playing it for what, 5 hours and seems like the game's just starting? Ha, good thing that it keeps me interested.

Depends on how you play, I prefer to search almost every corner of the game.

EDIT: Don't bother buying the expansions (meaning the little stuff that you can buy from the site), they're not even quite interesting. I haven't tried out the Darkspawn horde yet.

the darkspawn horde looks very interesting...but how long the game is...it's long and i havent even finished it yet because I keep screwing up with my character. And the little DLC's are not worth it but I was talking about Awakening...40 dollars is a lot

  9. Don't you fight them a lot earlier though?

If you're not interested in all the extra upgrades you can get then you probably won't be to interested..

I mean by that Darkspawn Horde the new download expansion pack that was published some time ago. Like:

When you fight in the Origins against the Darkspawn horde, in the expansion you get to control them in order to fight against the Grey Wardens commanded by Alistair. I really want to play that expansion.

//EDIT: The name is not Darkspawn Horde - it's Darkspawn Chronicles, sry about that.

Awakening can be bought from normal stores, if it hasn't changed then.

It would be better if it was online co-op.

No thank you. The whole idea would be ruined, and it would be too much of a multiplayer game. They would have to make the whole Ferelden map usable as the characters "travel" for days while it's on the loading screen. Just think how long the traveling distance from Redcliffe to Denerim would be.

Also, if they would do that, they would most likely make areas (mainly roads) where players can attack each others party. No thanks.

And finally, just imagine how stupid it would look as you are somewhere with your party, and theres about 200 Morrigans and Alistairs in other peoples party.

EDIT: And I have to just say, that the game was meant to be classic Bioware game, just like Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. If the net-playing would follow the traditional LAN-method, then it would be okay with me, since at least in Baldur's Gate 6-people party LAN was fun. Judging on seeing what you say thought, you haven't played those games. The main point in the game is, that in some point of the game it starts to be so wickedly hard that you need time to think your next move, and there is the strategic point of the game. So yeah:

    Hell no.
