Watched Battle Royale. Finally... Seems the graphic Novel was a little better, but a great film nevertheless in my opinion.

Clash of the Titans (2010 version)

I thought it was okay. It annoys me that Hades is always portrayed as a villain, and I didn't really care for Ralph Fiennes' performance here. I also thought the Io character was useless and a waste of screen time. But I liked Liam Neeson as Zeus and Sam Worthington as Perseus was pretty good, though not very emotional. Eh, he served his purpose. Oh, and I liked that one guy, Draco, I think his name was. He was cool. Visual effect were good to me, and I liked the score, as well.

On an 'I'm looking too much into this' note, I'm kinda confused as to why the movie is called Clash of the Titans, when I don't remember seeing a single titan. But eh, nitpick.

I'm glad I saw it, but I'm also glad I didn't pay to see it in theaters.

I enjoyed that movie when I saw it. Although I guessed that they got plenty of the myth wrong.

And as for the lack of titans... They mentioned them in the opening :D
I also think that you could consider the Kraken a titan, even though it isn't an actual one.

Face/Off, it was a pretty intense movie.

That so doesn't count. But I suppose the remake can't help it if the original did not do the research.

Well, from one Perseus to another- I just finished Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

If I look at it purely as a movie, I enjoyed it. Percy was a great lead and Grover was hilarious (probably my favorite character in the movie). I thought Luke was well cast, as well. Story was fine if I pretend the books never existed.

But, if I look at it as a PJatO fan, it makes me die a little on the inside. The movie suffers from the same thing I bitched about in my Clash of the Titans post- making Hades into a villain when he isn't (and wasn't in the books). I thought the actor did a great job as him, I loved the way they visualized him, but his part in the story was just wrong. They left out the main villain of the books, though I suppose if a sequel is ever made, they can throw that into the beginning. Actually, a lot of the story was screwed up. Annabeth wasn't very Annabeth-like. And where was Clarisse? And Thalia's tree? Why was Grover left in the Underworld? Bleh. I would have expected an adaptation by the director of the first two Harry Potters to be much more faithful.

    Shutter Island

I still enjoyed reading the book better, but the movie was a great adaptation. Great casting of Teddy Daniels and Dr. Cawley. Everyone else was portrayed pretty well, too. And the story stuck to the book, god bless it. It was a little long, but it didn't really feel long until after it was over and I noticed the clock.

Last movie was actually Advent Children, which is a very sweet movie obviously. I wear that movie out but honestly never gets old!!

My two favorites are Superbad, and Kickass. Both hilarious movies!
