I do believe that was quite rude.

And since that post served to do nothing that furthered the discussion of the topic, I do believe that was spam. In fact, Please don't post unless you have something to add to the discussion.

    Hold on... I think it's a trap...

Cloud, this is a discussion for the topic of gay rights. Not if your brother is gay.

I think at this point it's pretty clear that my side has won. Nobody from the other side seems to have any interest in pursuing it.

I don't think the point of these debates is winning. Why do you think you have won?

Cloud305: Sexuality has nothing to do with whether you belong to a troll site or not. Just make sure he's not planning to invade this one.

Honestly, the few people who were opposed to gay rights usually just said things about the bible and that it was just wrong.

If they can't come up with a good reason to dislike gays (Dad left your mom because of that, got raped are good examples) then they don't have the credibility to win.

I can't find a good reason to either. I don't agree with the concept of homosexuality, but I don't mind haveing gay friends.

Why are guys so freaked out about the idea of getting hit on by other men? Two of the posts on the last page mentioned this, and I'm curious. Is it just the whole "I'm a manly man" thing, or what? It'd be a little awkward if a woman hit on me, but I wouldn't spazz out about it.

It's easier just to say 'I'm not into guys' or 'I'm not gay' instead of saying 'F YOU FAG!'.

I've seriously seen some people do that, when they didn't really need to in the first place.

It's the whole "manly man" thing. You have to prove to your fellow manly men that you are indeed manly and not gay by objecting to gay people in the most obnoxious way possible. Personally, I'd really rather not be hit on by a guy, as it would be extremely awkward. But I'm not about to beat the living hell out of anyone over it either.

    I know someone who would......

But I've been hit on by way too many guys to really be INCREDIBLY bothered by it. Its akward, but its not that big a deal.

good point so why are you people getting into "guys hitting on you"??

personally i think people should be allowed to marry any person they want
man or woman, gay or straight

Because, despite the opinion of one member, I'm not going to close a debate. They aren't here to be discussed till someone thinks they've won and then get closed. They're here to discuss and debate for as long as people want. And who knows when someone new may join the forum and has somethig new to add.

Personally, I don't care who "won" and I never will. I'm not keeping score.

I was just saying my side has won because nobody seemed interested in pursuing the debate from the other side. I never told you to lock the forum >.>

If somebody wants to swing by and debate there point, I'm fine.

Anyway. The thing about guys hitting on you is absoultely ridiculous. It's just like when a guy goes to hit on a girl because she's hot, a gay guy will hit on another guy because he's hot.

And that made me think of another thing. I think it's already been brought up, but the thing about 'When did you decide to be gay?'. All I have to say to people when they say that is when did you decide to be straight. Naturally there response is when I was born and then I say then you've got my answer.

It's dumb when people claim that you can be brainwashed into being gay or whatever. It's just dumb.

I never said that you said to lock it. But sma2112 seemed to be wondering why the debate was continuing after you had already said you felt your side had won, and I was explaining.

And that;s the reason I wouldn't get all that upset if a guy hit on me. Cause somehow, I think a lot of time, that girl being hit on by a guy is just as uncomfortable, even with it not being gay, especially if she doesn't have feelings for that guy. Of course, I'm not a girl, nor can I say I've ever been hit on, so I can only guess and state opinions. But that makes sense to me.

My mistake. Just kinda read that way. And I don't see how it's really all that far off topic.

But anyway, to stick to the point. It's all quite simple really. It all boils down to the fact that most men are so insecure in their masculinity that they have to defend it in the most obnoxious way possible. To them, sex with hot women makes them men, and thus, being gay makes you the scum of the earth. Thus they have to hinder homosexuality as much as they can, object to it as much as they can, and as obnoxiously as they can. And, sadly, I doubt the people who make our laws are any different, so it reanslates.

  18. BS guys gays have issues man It's just wrong man y'know cause' ...it's just wrong. God says he created man and women for each other not for themselves so WTF man WTF? If we try to see it for another standpoint, it's very hard to do. BUT..IF..YOU.. ARE.. GAY.. AND.. ARE.. OF.. THE.. CHRISTIAN.. FAITH.. PLEASE.. STOP.. IT.

First, I can tell you feel strongly about it. Second, please try to make sense. Not all of us can figure out crappy writing. Finally, to strip some one of the right to love, be it gay, bi, or hetero, is to strip them of major rights. Rights, my friend, that no one should take away. As for the bible, that is pretty much filled with bs from all the points of view in it. Not all of it is right so don't stick by it one hundred percent.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Bible man. But I'm not going there.
In a way I do agree with Sephiroth X. Those who are homosexual, and are of the Christian faith, they need to know that what they're doing is an abomination. And that they are in fact sinning. Its wrong in a relitious sence. But when you look at it from civil rights, you should have the right to marry into the same sex. Persuit of Happiness you know.
