I'll admit that the actual ending of the game is rather terrible (as in that last level) but the lead up was really quite epic. If it wasn't for the fact that a friend ruined half of the ending for me (Reznov's story) I would have probs put it as a good contender for my GOTY.

Recently I completed Fallout 3, I missed out on it first time, but bought it again to actually play through it.

The storyline, as with most western RPG's wasn't the best that you'll see, but Fallout 3's was a little off the track, and was filled with plenty of moral choices, some that didn't make much of a difference, others that had a massive impact on the rest of the world.

The BGM was fitting, wandering the wasteland alone as the eerie music seemed to float in the wind was a fantastic experience. Companions really seemed to ruin this by being noisy and annoying (Which is why I would recommend hiring Charon and Dogmeat, they're quiet and strong, Fawkes is good too.) Listening to Three Dog didn't ruin it, but some of the scripts clearly weren't fantastic, as the only story he ever told about me was the fact that I'd Deep Six'd the bomb in the center of Megaton for good. Even as I was on the verge of completing the game.

The actual gameplay was good, although I found myself using VATS waaaay too much, a problem that has since been fixed in New Vegas, this is due to the fact that the most common ammo is that of the assault rifle and shotgun (Super Mutants can drop a lot of .32's for Hunting Rifles, but Hunting Rifles do very little damage.) I'd suggest raising Lockpick as quickly as possible, as well as Science if you want to level up faster, due to the XP cap hacking a very hard terminal or picking a very hard lock can provide as much experience as killing a super mutant behemoth, and more loot too!

All in all, I'd say it was the best £11 I've ever spent (around $15) if you haven't already, pick it up.

And I would like to set something strate to all you crazy COD Black Opps fans. IT SUX!!! I think the games graphics and gameplay are a large step down from the previouse game. And Chocabo DYL, there is no way on the planet that a gaming site will choose this game as Game of The Year, because It wasn't even nominated on any of the major sites!!!!!

 

i have to agree and disagree with your words.True the graphics are worse than Modern Warfare 2, but in all sense,i think Black Ops is an awesome game.i'm not saying it's the greatest game in the world,cuz it's not.i have to say,it's a major improvement from Modern Warfare 2.MW2 in my opinion was the worst CoD ever.but who knows what will happen with Modern Warfare 3

KH- I wanted to go back to remember the story better.

Megaman Maverick Hunter X- I just got a Psp, for free I might add, and this was the first game I got. It's awesome though because it is Megaman, and it was only 10 bucks! The charger I had to buy cost more. Lol

Final Fantasy 7-I'm actually kind of at a lose with this one.

Minecraft- I put this one because though it doesn't have a story, I'll get bored with it sooner or later.

Avalon Code- I love the Idea behind this game, but it so hard to just sit down and play it.

Let's see what I can beat before the end of the year!
