A new threat?

You're right. How about...an enemy who wants to destroy the worlds.

 

Here's what I mean. The enemy seeks to destroy the worlds in order to absorb that world's heart. Every heart makes him or her stronger

anyway (I left off on MF, so I'll keep going from there) this is not my "great theory" but a nagging thought in my head that I thought I'd share: What if MF is Ansem the Wise? Hear me out: we know that Ansem the Wise did something to ruin Terra, Aqua, and Ventus' lives that he feels guilty about, and that's why he programmed the memories into Sora as he slept his long sleep. For the longest I kept trying to figure out what he might've done to ruin their lives, what if he did it during the MF fight? I mean, MF doesn't use a keyblade, neither does Ansem the Wise. And that "Doom" attack MF uses keeps making me think that he's trying to take something from you when he uses that attack. And we know that Ansem the Wise has a cloak. Thoughts?

well, I wouldn't put it past Ansem the Wise to attack the good guys, he hasn't exactly proved himself to be the kindest of characters, only the one filled with the most regret.

Um... the only way for the enemy to take a world's heart is by going through the keyhole or the door to that world. That will destroy the world. I do not see that coming any time soon.

Ansem the Wise never did ruin their lives. He never even had any contact with them and never knew them. Maybe he knew Aqua when he saw her armor but that still wouldn't show that he messed up their lives because Master Xehanort and Vanitus are the ones to blame. Also, just because the Mysterious Figure and Ansem the Wise wears a cloak and both of them do not use a keyblade does not mean that they are one and the same. Plus, Ansem the Wise's power are not the same as the Mysterious Figure. Ansem the Wise is technologically smart, can use the corridors of darkness and can disguise himself. Also, the doom attack do not have to mean anything. A doom attack can be like a Final Fantasy spell: You have a certain time limit to win the battle. If the countdown hits 0, it is game over.
