So what's next? Do we just go with Sin still fighting for a little bit? And where is everybody gonna go when they eventually leave Destiny Islands?

 

Just FYI, this next post I'm about to put up pretty much gives you free reign to have some Shadow of the Collusus style takedowns. Yeah.

 

Well, I'm busy doing collaborative stuff because all my characters are doing something. I dunno about everybody else.w

 

And because of that, I've got no idea what to post. I figured I'd have Jun run off to help Ty, even if the masters don't want him to.

 

Well, there are now giant monsters on the island. You can do something about that little "problem" if you want. It is, after all, a bunch of them.

 

Wait, who is Zei? DeHeian?

And anyways, just do whatever seems to make proper sense given the context.

 

But Sin is no longer there. So, given the context currently, he cannot do that.

 

And at the same time, having one attack after another isn't good. To be honest, I feel as though the current attack came too quickly after the attack on Twilight Town. So if you want my opinion, after this attack is finished and the next portion of the story begins, let's hold off on the bad guys attacking for a little while. After all, using KH2 as an example, Sora's interactions with the main bad guys of the storyline was actually quite limited and spaced out. And besides, is there something wrong with nothing serious happening for a few pages?

Do you have any specific reasons for feeling this? It might be a little more fun for you if you do things you've never done before. Play as a character type that you've never done before. Play in an RP with a plot you've never done before. If something stops being fun, try mixing things up a bit.

Never really thought about it that way, having some key events planned out between the start and finish.

But I might as well throw in some things I've learned recently. Such as the importance of having an ending planned out. While I do personally think that takes a bit away from the RP, not having an ending that the characters can strive for as a goal really screws things up. A lot.

Pacing. This goes back to my feelings of this current attack happening too soon. While we can use that 2 week time skip as an excuse for the attack, here's why I feel it happened too soon: Beginning -> Attack on Twilight Town -> Everybody gets to Destiny Islands -> 2 week time skip -> Attack on Destiny Islands. Personally I find that a story where the heroes are constantly hounded by attacks without proper justification (Such as being on the run, making it impossible for them to actually get a moment's reprieve) looses it's charm quickly. After all, the part of Deathly Hallows where the group was constantly hiding had to have been the most boring part of the entire book (I know it made Part 1 extremely boring). Having a period of no interaction between the good guys and the bad guys may seem a bit boring, but it is better for the story. It allows us to set up character interactions at a realistic pace. It doesn't make much sense for Ty and Lilly to be able to act like nothing has changed after 2 weeks (Jun can, but because he's only a child he's able to focus his thoughts away from bad things. Kinda a bad character trait, but the kid is only 10. I don't know how a real child may react in such a situation).

Also, I want to point out collaboration. It's something we are always saying to do, but I don't think we really do it. Sorabrawl, you've talked to Requiem about how the overall plot goes, which is a good start for collaboration. But you haven't gone much further than that (That I'm aware of). You've never come to me and asked what I think about your next course of action or any ideas I may have come up in my head for this RP. I've thought about a few things that could happen next in this RP, but I feel as though trying to do them myself would make it appear as though I'm trying to focus the plot on specific characters and elevate them above the other characters. And true, some of this is my fault for not coming up to you and telling you any ideas I may have come up with. Which further emphasizes what I'm trying to say.

So here's my attempt at collaborating. Sorabrawl, what do you have planned for when everybody finally leaves Destiny Islands? And everybody else, is there any event you think should happen when everybody leaves Destiny Islands?

 

Well, Sin and the other corrupted will be off doing their own thing for a bit, so they shouldn't be much of a problem after Destiny Island. At least, not for a little bit.

And damnit, my schedule is killing me. I'll get to posting in everything soon. Just not now.

EDIT: Oh, and Sora? If our schedules do not meet on MSN sometime between now and thursday evening, I'm just going to make Malisa take Ty to the others, not waiting for his reaction.
