Near a dirty lake full of nasty and decaying bodies is a one, large yacht. The lake is actually within a graveyard with nothing but tombstones. There are cats that hides but there are also ghosts who comes out of the tombstones and cast black magic on those who disturbs their sleep. The grass is grey and it can easily catch on fire to bring light in the darkness.

    1. Watch out for the ghosts. Their magic can hurt.
    2. You have 10-12 posts to try and win the battle. I will let you know when you have x amount of posts left.

Grimmuld silently walked among the graveyard tombstones. It was in places like this that he felt at home. The spirits of these graves had nothing to fear from him, he was their protector. Their silent guardian. But this was not his home graveyard, the spirits here knew him not, and would most likely not take kindly to strangers who disturbed them.

For now, Grimmuld was in Human Form, the face of a wizened old man, was concealed under his dark hood. Clutched tightly in his hand was the scythe, with which he became Death. Though Grimmuld knew he was Death Himself, he was the closest thing to Him.

Grimmuld stopped, just to enjoy the feeling of this graveyard, where now the spirits slep peacefully. He had no reason to exert himself just yet. He could wait for his opponent to find him. After all, he wasn't exactly hard to spot.

A quiet thumping sound could be heard. Each time the sound echoed across the area, it got slightly louder. The lake, which had been completely calm before, rippled with each sound. A light formed in the distance. As it approached, it got bigger and brighter. The thumping noise became more of a stomping noise as the object approached. It was something massive, and it was on fire. All the grass near it instantly caught on fire as the figure moved towards Grimmuld.

The figure stopped moving when it was approximately ten feet away from Grimmuld. It pulled its left hand back, a whip made from flames violently forming. With a flick of its wrist, the demon snapped the whip at Grimmuld, hitting the ground right next to him.

Grimmuld did not flinch as the demon lashed it's whip. Instead he stood his ground, and removed his hood. as he did so, his head transformed into a flaming skull.

"So that's the way you want to play is it?" he asked in a casual tone. Grimmuld did not fear death, because he WAS the closest man to Death there ever could be. Grimmuld gripped his scythe with both hands and faced off against the beast.

"Let's see what you can do." he said as he swung at it's head.

Without saying anything, Dullahan unleashed a Hellburst underneath Grimmuld. The attack knocked Grimmuld and his attack away from the demon. Dullahan charged at Grimmuld like a bull, knocking him away on impact. Grimmuld's body broke through one of the tombstones strewn about the area, causing a ghost to float out of the ground.

Before the ghost could attack either individual, Dullahan snapped his whip at Grimmuld again, cutting through the ghost in the process.

    >Sorry, I keep forgetting to post in this.<

Grimmuld took the Hellburst attack and flew backwards. When Dullahan headbutted him, Grimmuld lost his breath for a second and hit the ground hard. He looked up just in time to see the whip fly through the spirit and head towards him. Grimmuld became infuriated as the spirit vanished into the void.

"HOW DARE YOU!!!!" He roared. He sprang up and dodged the whip. "No ONE SHOULD EVER HARM THE DEAD!!!!" Grimmuld stood up to face the demon, the flames on his skull grew in size with his anger. He gripped his scythe in one hand in in the other a fireball began to form. It grew in size until it was a big as a beach ball. "TASTE MY FURY!!!!" He yelled as he threw the fireball at Dullahan. Right after he threw the mass of fire, Grimmuld ran after it, readying his scythe for a counterattack.

"The dead are naught but slaves to my will." Dullahan spoke. As the demon spoke, a eerie fog began floating out of the ground. The fog condensed to form several souls. The souls moved towards Grimmuld, passing through his fireball before becoming solid. The souls all jumped at Grimmuld in an attempt to attack him and pin him down for Dullahan to finish.

As for Dullahan himself, he just stood there and let the fireball hit him. Due to his hellfire cloak, the fireball did little more than knock Dullahan down for a moment. The demon roared as it got back up, unleashing random bursts of hellfire in the area, burning up whatever dry grass remained.

    >Sorry I've taken so long please forgive my busy life<

The spirits all pinned down Grimmuld but this did not cease his rage at Dullahan. With a pitiful look he gazed at the spirits.

"Forgive me! It's time to go to the other side. SOUL HARVEST!" Grimmuld swung his scythe, swiping trough all of the ghosts. As the blade passed through each one they vanished and went on to the afterlife. Then he turned to Dullahan. "As for you! You dishonor the dead, and mock them, and destroy them! You are an abomination! and I WILL SLAUGHTER YOU!!!!" Grimmuld levitated off the ground, and moved at a higher speed at Dullahan. He moved at the demon's side, and took a swing at his flank. Hopefully the scythe would pierce it, causing some damage.

The demon laughed at Grimmuld's attack. The surroundings got darker and darker as Grimmuld charged at him. The moonlight, the flames, everything vanished for Grimmuld. The area became pitch black and impossible for anybody to see. Anybody, that is, except for Dullahan. This blackness allowed Dullahan to take a step back and barely dodge Grimmuld's scythe, bringing confusion as to whether or not Dullahan dodged or if Grimmuld attacked too soon.

Dullahan's stomps could be heard as he turned to face Grimmuld. Instead of directly attacking, Dullahan instead jumped fifteen or so feet into the air. Dullahan pointed his flaming blade down to the ground, aiming to stab right through Grimmuld's body when he reached the ground again.

The flames from Grimmuld's skull offered little to no light for Grimmuld to see with. He knew his attack had failed when he felt no resistance against his slash. Then there was the terrible stomping and something that sounded like a "swoosh" Grimmuld looked up in time to see the flaming blade coming down, however Grimmuld di not have time to dodge it completely. He moved as fast as he could but the blade tore off his left arm.

Blood began to gush from the wound, and Grimmuld fell to his knees. He used a part of his robe as a make shift bandage to stop him from bleeding to death, he would not die now and fail at his duty!

"You are a monster who thrives in the pain and suffering of others. An abomination that does not deserve to walk amongst the living or even the dead!" Grimmuld pounded the end of his scythe into the ground and bellowed with all his might. "SPIRITS OF THIS GAVEYARD! I BEG YOU TO ASSIST ME IN MY STRUGGLE! PLEASE COME TO MY AID!" As the scythe hit the earth, the ghosts of the graveyard came forth and floated around Grimmuld. then they each turned to Dullahan and swooped at him. Grimmuld moved slowly towards Dullahan, as he would be distracted by the spirits, Grimmuld could hopefully find an opening and finish the battle.

    >There is no light. It is impossible for anybody except Dullahan to see.<

Dullahan picked up the cut off arm and held it above his head. Any blood that dripped down boiled away when it came in contact with Dullahan. The demon dropped the arm into his mouth, consuming it like a simple snack. The sound of the bones snapping could be heard as Dullahan closed his mouth.

The demon refocused on the battle. Explosions of hellfire came from inside the ghosts, tearing their souls apart. "Do not try to imitate me mortal." Dullahan ordered Grimmuld. "Though if you care for those souls that badly, I shall send you to Hell along with them." More souls under Dullahan's command formed around Grimmuld. They began reaching for him once they became physical again. They grabbed for his scythe to take it away and they grabbed at his arms and legs to pin him down.

    >I thought it was just REALLY dark, so the flames from Grimmuld's skull offered limited light, allowing him to see the blade, I didn't realize he had no way to see period<

Grimmuld refused to give in to the demon that easily. "SOUL HARVEST!" he swung the blade and reaped the souls that were under control of Dullahan once more. "You fool! All evil eventually falls to a brave and noble warrior, even if i die here, one more powerful than I will take my place and finish this battle in my place. But while there is still breath in my body, I WILL NEVER GIVE IN TO THE LIKES OF YOU!!!" Grimmuld, put all of his strength into one last swing at Dullahan. "Good spirits of Hades, give me the strength to win!" as he said this Grimmuld's scythe faintly glowed with the power of the few good spirits left on this plane of existence.

"Struggle as you may, you will descend into the depths of Hell. If I am to fall with you, so be it. But unlike yourself, I shall claw my way out again." The demon smiled. Not even aiming at Grimmuld, the demon unleashed hellbursts all around his enemy. The explosions kept on coming, one after another. It had the same basic effect as rounds of artillery pounding the ground. The ground violently shook. As the attacks continued, light began returning to the area, allowing Grimmuld to see. The explosions blasted more and more and more of the ground, creating deeper and deeper holes. One of these holes was in between Grimmuld and the demon. Dullahan snapped his whip at Grimmuld's feet, chipping away at the ground beneath him.

So this is where it ends..... I served a good long life defending the dead, now i myself die attempting to save them from this demon.... and yet, I'm not sad. I'm actually...content. If I di, I will take This one back with me! and I won't allow him to be free once more, once we are in Hell, I can show him his place over and over again, never having to fear death again! I will be unstoppable!!! these were the last thoughs of Grimmuld, or rather the last clear thoughts of Grimmuld. as the ground fell away from him, Grimmuld threw his scythe, which flew forward, and pierced the demon in between the eyes. Satisfied with his attack, Grimmuld fell, into the dark pits below.

The scythe hit Dullahan before he could even react. The force of the blow knocked Dullahan onto the ground. Without even bothering to get up, the demon grabbed the blade of the scythe and pulled it out of his face. The intensity of the hellfire surrounding Dullahan increased a hundredfold, melting the scythe. Any remaining flames from the battle swarmed to the demon, colliding with him. Each flame increased the intensity of his hellfire cloak. When the last flame gathered, the demon's body exploded. The heat released from the explosion vaporized everything. The water in the lake evaporated, the tombstones shattered, and the ground became coated in a fine ash.

Grimmuld's body landed at the bottom of the hole created by Dullahan's hellbursts. The ground quickly illuminated as if it were on fire. From underneath Grimmuld a massive flaming hand appeared and grabbed the body. It pulled Grimmuld down, below the ground. Grimmuld's body was soon surrounded by flames. Screams constantly filled the air as souls reached out and tore at Grimmuld. When the hand stopped pulling Grimmuld down, it was Dullahan that was holding him. The demon stared intensely at his new victim.

    >I'm guessing that's the end of the fight.<

((After further speculation of my point system, I've decided to just look at everything without any numeric values. It's just too much trouble to give a number to something like this)).

So.... there's a lot to point out in this battle. A lot that needs mentioning, and a lot that's rather critical from battler's perspective. You've both been somewhat prone in this battle to resorting to powerplaying.

Desert powerplayed early on with an auto-hit with a hellburst, and as a result, auto-hit in his initial headbutting of Awesome's character. For the most part, it hasn't been an issue of your character's power, but rather, the fact that it is expressed as an absolute force. You seem to offer very little leeway in terms of his "Ultimate Darkness" ability. And at the very end, his exploding and reforming leaves me under the impression that he's a bit above where the power limitations for characters was set. Really, a character such as Dullahan is one that needs to be downsized, tamed in a sense, and given some rudimentary mechanics on which to function, which I really don't see expressed in your posts.

Knight. You had a minor powerplay in your final post, which ultimately doesn't matter, since you took the defeat anyways. Still, it's a powerplay, and should always be avoided as best as possible. The one thing that I find major fault in your attempted "finisher," which overstepped your character's given abilities. It's important, when you have a character sheet especially, to not perform actions or bring about consequences that aren't presented or explained in the sheet itself. This is found in the matter of "spirits" gathering into Grimmuld's scythe. It seems it's something that should have been for a purpose, but wasn't enacted. Other than that, you played pretty fairly, and you could have definitely gotten away with giving Grimmuld a more colorful range of abilities.

Summoner may think differently, but I am fixed to give this battle to Awesome, and also allow him some opportunity to maybe buff his character slightly for the next (and final) round.

I do not think any differently. To tell you the truth, I had a little bit of a problem with Duullahan to begin with. As for Ultimate Darkness, I had a big problem with that. Whenever you poc in your post that "There is no light. It is impossible to see," i became nervous. It as though no one cannot even use their own light to let themselves see the area surrounding themselves as far as their light enables them but as though Dullahan can see anything. When I see Dullahan... I think of a mixture of Chaos and Lord of Rings Balrog.

As for Matsuda, I really didn't care for his character powerplaying and I really didn't even care about the finishing move... since I can see that his character was at a major disadvantage anyways. Have nothign to say. Wayward already summed it up for me.

I would give this battle to Matsuda too.

Whew, I actually thought that scythe move would be the death of me, I knew it was kinda powerplaying, but with the vauge moves i had given Grimmuld (which I will be clairifying in the next few days) I saw it ams my only option since I was totally overwhealmed by Desert's more specified powers.

I do have to say though, Desert: you did a great job, I always enjoyed reading from Dullahan's perspective. Though he did seem to have a MAJOR superiority complex.

My one question is now that Grimmuld is...well...dead...and in Hell...how will he compete?

Battle = Non-Continuum. You can play him as though this battle never happened in the next round.
