HD 1.5 ReMIX.. only in Japan?

I'll kill myself it's Japan only,i was planning to sell my PS2 now that i can play KH on my PS3

 

It's suppose to be for Japan continents only. As for me, not really since to me, I am just playing the same game already and there is really nothing new to be seen.

 

This statement makes me wanna facepalm.

Anyways, will anybody be surprised if this turns out to be true? I won't be.

 

I actually will. I'd think they'd want to attract newcomers to the franchise in America as well. Granted, I haven't set my expectations so high for it anyway.

 

Side note: Square Enix confuse me. Re:CoM wasn't available in Europe, yet Europe got DDD first.

On topic: If they'd just release the FM games to the rest of the world, they would make a ridiculous profit; at least half the fanbase is desparate to get their hands on them. Who knows? Maybe they've been planning to give us the Final Mixes in this HD collection all along. Maybe they're just gonna troll us yet again.

Are you facepalming because of how there is info saying that the remix is supposed to be released for Japan only or are you facepalming in reaction to me in a negative way when I said it? Was bothering me.

But in all honesty, I am not even phased as to which games they release in whatever country the games will be selling at. There are some games in Japan that never reached to the rest of the world and then there is the editions of FFXIII-2 where one country gets this benefit and the Australian country get this benefit and so on and so on. I guess this is why so many people start jumping on Amazon and the like to order those games that is from other countries.

Anyway, I kind of agree. I always have ebay if Square decides to make another region-exclusive game. I bought an NTSC PS2 just to play Re:CoM and FFXIII-2. Would've saved me and a lot of others a lot of money if they'd just released it over here as well, though.

 

Continents, countries, whatever. My mind was wandering when I was typing. At least you know I am talking about different regions. I need to stop overthinking.

... Why a NTSC PS2 for those two games?

 

They weren't available on the European PAL PS2, so I, in all my fanboyish glory, had to buy the American PS2.

This is why. Japan is not a continent.

Because PS2s and their games are region specific. It is why you cannot play either of the Final Mixes on an American PS2 without modifying the PS2.

 

And as I said before, sorry Desert. I was overthinking and daydreaming when I was typing.

But yeesh. If I have to modify Ps2 systems just to get a game from somewhere else, why would we need to get the 1.5 Remix in the first place? To me, that game just basically have the same thing anyway and will just an attempt to grab new players to Kingdom Hearts.

I may just buy this game if it comes out over here, if only for the Final Mix and the HD cutscenes. Provided it's not a ridiculous price, that is.

 

If the remix comes out in the U.S, along with the Final Mix additions, think they'll add voice actors for the additional scenes? (this is includes KH2FM's scenes)

 

It's okay for me if it's Japan only, because one of my family members who are in Japan can buy it for me maybe...
Anyway, I just watched the trailer. Since it's a part of the Kingdom Hearts series, I must buy it.
