Since there are more Kingdom Hearts game out there and we are still waiting for the next one, I do believe that we may have more reasons as to why we love one Kingdom Hearts game better than the other. Which one is yours? I have closed the other stickied thread "Best Games" since there are more Kingdom Hearts games and that this one here is an update.

Mine would be Birth by Sleep no matter what. I can't seem to stop playing as Aqua out of the three and I am mainly a magic user anyways. Plus, I like to experiment in combining cards to see what I would get and in this game, you will have to combine items and synthesize in order to gain abilities and to do that, you will have to upgrade your command abilities. I also like to go into the Mirage Arena and to fight in the coliseums and play the mini games there. You get medals as an added bonus in order to spend them on more items.

But yeah, Birth by Sleep is by far the best! Maybe because it was on the PSP with Ventus. Ventus was by far the strongest that I've ever played. Salvation and Faith were two of the strongest light based moves that I've experience. They're like a combination of Trinity Limit and Event Horizon respectively.

The mechanisms were amazing. Command Styles/Shotlock/D Links gave me such varies to destroy Unversed; it was ridiculous. It was indeed great!

In all honesty, I cannot deny that Ventus IS the strongest character because of Salvation and Faith. If one were to fight against a player with those two abilities, they will have a hard time in even defeating the Ventus player. I still like Aqua but since I do not have Salvation or Faith, I can have a harder time winning in the Mirage Arena fights the way I want to. I still have yet to defeat the secret boss at Land of Departure.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was the best by far. In my opinion it was the only one that didn't feel rushed or ridiculous. I'll agree for the most part, birth by sleep was needed to explain the back story and I'll give them CoM for bridging the gap between KH1 and KH2. Yet, the other games like Coded and Days. Not needed, it just added more unnecessary characters to an already confusing storyline. Even, birth by sleep was a little out of hand. Kingdom Hearts 1 was nice, it had the flow of perfect worlds, the stories didnt' feel rushed, you had a general idea what was going on. Plus, there was only one keyblade.

Technically, there were three but who's counting!

Aqua had some good moves too. I only can remember a few but Raging Storm was a good fire spell alongside Ifrit's Mega Flare and Firaga Burst. Ice Barrage was powerful. And Time Splicer was very effective.

Terra was rather sluggish with his moves. I don't remember any of his moves except Quake at the moment. But his Shotlock was amazing. Ultima Cannon his keyblade's height and width grew about three times his own height and shot out a cannon. Wow!

Technically, but for what reason? They hyped up the keyblade to be all powerful ONE weapon in the first game. Now everyone has one.

@Abstract In all honesty, I am tired of the quote "Everyone now has one" quote. if everyone was getting one, then the Final Fantasy group, Hayner, Pence, Olette and even Donald and Goofy would have one. That is not even fact. Not only that, I do not know why Birth by Sleep to you is "a little bit out of hand" but that game actually expands more on the whole story, gives experimentation on fighting, different views and perspectives from three characters, what more could you want from that game? Well... maybe bring back the mushroom heartless maybe. They were awesome. But other than that, the story in that game didn't feel rushed.

Also, I can debate that ever since the keyblade that was created from the Princess' hearts was made, I can say that Nomura had the idea of even having more than one keyblade to begin with right from the get go.

@Angel Aqua is the one who is the master of magic and as a Keyblade Master, have more power in some fields but after seeing Salvation and Faith, it felt as though Aqua is second. As for Terra, I NEVER DID LIKE HEAVY CHARACTERS. He felt heavy to me and he is more well-versed in physical and dark damages. I guess he felt sluggish to the two of us but he is the character who is to finish the enemies out the fastest I suppose with all of that power.

In the first game, the legend of the keyblade suggested the opposite.

Besides Sora, Riku, and Mickey all had a keyblade in the first game so saying its this 'one all powerful weapon' was thrown out in the first game.

Agree, don't agree on this angle. There is no reason for that many people to have a Keyblade. Axel getting one now is a bit crazy. Yet, if you take him out it's really only Riku, Sora, Kairi, Axel, and Mickey. Which matches up with Terra, Aqua, Ven, MX, and Square backwards. I'll let them slide for doing such. Yet, there really shouldn't be that many keyblades. It brings the value down a bit. I get where hes coming from.

    Why its the truth.
    .
Not what he is saying so relax. He's saying way to many people are getting them. He's/She's semi correct. The reason why the Final Fantasy group doesn't have one is because...their the FINAL FANTASY group. They have a preset back story all ready. They aren't going to give them Keyblades because they aren't original characters.

Birth By Sleep, was needed story wise. Yes, as far as another game. Meh. Stop with the BS side stories, give us Kingdom Hearts 3. Point blank.

Disagree, even in Kingdom Hearts 2. The story seemed kind of rushed in each world. It was kind of like "OH Sora, haven't seen you in a year, hi bye.". Well atleast thats what I got.

Obviously, the Deep Dive trailer had Roxas weidling keyblades with Riku. Yet I can confirm Axel wasn't always going to have one at the start of the first game. Kingdom Hearts wasn't expected to do so many games. CoM was even a last minute type deal.

As for us that, Aqua is the strongest. In my opinion anyway, just because she was the only one to fight off darkness and not really mess up. Plus passed the test.. I mean. yeah.
Actually, Sora and Mickey had a keyblade in the first game. Riksem or Ansemku had an artificial keyblade. If you want to count that.

In actuality, all keyblades are artificial so yes that keyblade counts. :p

No it is not. I saw that there was going to be more than one weapon to begin with. If that is the problem, then the "Gunblade" in Final Fantasy VIII, there should only be about two who is suppose to use the weapon and is to be a "One of a kind". The legendary weapons you see in the Final Fantasy franchise such as Nirvana, Caladbog, Ultima Weapon, they are supposedly to be a "one of a kind" but yet there are other weapons of the same type as them that can rival them in power. The M.W.S from Xenosaga was to be a "One of a kind" weapon but there were different types of the weapon being mass-produced and even Miyuki used Shion's weapon from Xenosaga 1 in Xenosaga 3 and even created Shion a M.W.S out of crystals. OH YEA! The Sorceress Power is to be a "One of a kind" but the power can come in different variety among sorceresses.

Trying to say that "Too many people are getting keyblades" is like trying to say that there are "Too many people using Greatswords, magic beyond comprehension and the like". A keyblade is a TYPE of weapon. It wasn't to be only just one weapon only (Only exception that I know is Rinoa's weapon and her weapon is still unique from everyone else). You even saw in Kingdom Hearts 1 at the end that Mickey had inverted keyblade in opposition of Sora. It wasn't to be "only one of a kind". It's sole purpose that contrasts against many weapons is that the keyblade itself "Has a task and mission and can be used by anyone whom it trusts".

And as far as real/artificial keyblades goes in the games, we still do not even know who even created the keyblade still. Why I still like Birth by Sleep because it goes more into detail (Although we still do not who was the first person) on the origin of the keyblade.

Still not true, it goes baised off opinion. Because we can both sit here and yell examples. It's pointless it's all based of opinion Brandon, relax. I respect yours.

Even, though YOU could see that it wasn't going to be one weapon. It still wasn't confirmed by nomura if there was going to be more than the 2 (3 if angel is conserned) at that time. THough they did leave the idea to expand, which they did. Thats the only fact we know.

So with that being said. My favorite of the games would have to be CoM, because it blended the story well without adding to many twists, and i loved the card system.

What the hell, Axel is getting a keyblade now too? Ridiculous.

Anyhow, despite not playing most of the newer games, I still say the original Kingdom Hearts is the best. The story was well-written and not rushed, the characters were engaging, the worlds were imaginative and they all fit well into the story at whole (the Disney I thought was integrated very well), and I don't know, I just really liked the tone, the gameplay, everything (except the camera and gummi ship). It had its cheesier moments, some of which made me roll my eyes a little, but overall it was just a really good game.

From that point on, though, I feel like there's something going on with the story, and what I've heard about the games that I haven't yet played doesn't disprove this to me. I don't quite know how to describe it- it's not that I think the games are too complex or difficult to understand, but it's like for every question that a game answers, three more pop up, and the answers seem to get more and more ridiculous as the series goes on. I didn't dislike KH II at the time, but anymore I just feel like the magic is gone from the entire series.

I agree with this. Yes, the "everyone has one" is a hyperbole, so let's not argue back and forth about "ooh, that's not true; Hayner doesn't have one!", etc. But, while I can't remember the legend of the keyblade well enough to say what the first game actually said about it, I do remember feeling that Sora's keyblade was the all powerful one weapon in the game. There was the rivalry between Sora and Riku over it, and I thought that was awesome. And then we see Mickey with one in the end, and believe it or not, I also thought that was awesome, because it's Mickey. Of course he should be kicking ass and taking names. But I liked the idea of Sora and Mickey together, as sort of opposites, with Mickey having experience and knowledge and Sora figuring it all out, and now it's gotten muddled with Riku, Kairi (gag), and now Axel. And you all are free to have a differing opinion, but whether or not there's a valid storytelling reason for it, the fact is that to me, the more people I find out have a keyblade, the less special it is.

Blame that on the Axel fans. I never did had an interest in Axel anyway.... and I strongly suggest that you should play Birth by Sleep Kitty. You will love Aqua. (XD It feels like I am advertiser trying to persuade you now Kitty. BUY THIS GAME TO HAVE LIKE A CHARACTER WHO HAVE SIMILAR PERSONALITIES LIKE YOU AND KICK BUTT!). I still dislike the hyperbole and the only one who I really did not see a reason as to why they should receive a keyblade is Axel. <_<

Axel: *Flings my wrist* Guess whaat? *Summons keyblade*
    Sora and the gang: WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA?!
Yen Sid: You have surprised even us! o.0
    Fanboy: (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! AXEL ROCKS!)
Fangirl: AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! I WANNA MARRY HIS FACE!

<_< I saw that at the ending of 3D and I was like "Crappay...". If I get me a 3DS, I'll buy Dream Drop Distance because I love the different looks of the Dream Eaters, the worlds and the battle system. At least I do not have Donald and Goofy in my party for once.

Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. I've played the English Patch version of it, and after playing it so much, with all the added bonuses, it's how KH should really be. Sure, I love the other games, but the battle style of KH2 is by far the best, and needs to come back. The Re: CoM system was fun, KH1 was like KH2. For BBS, Re: Coded, and 3D, the attack system (like where you place Curagas) was annoying. Sure, it left a lot of options, but it's too tiresome having to constantly switch attacks instead of just using shortcuts, or it just being part of a combo or AP ability. As for 358, the battle style was the worst, but the storyline was awesome

Ha ha, buy me a PSP, and we'll talk. Really, this is the only one out of the newer games that could tempt me, because parts of what I've heard about the story seem interesting, but it's not worth it to me to take the chance of buying a psp and the game, and then realizing I wasted my money because I hated it, like what happened with Chain of Memories, which I was so excited to play when it came out and it was so disappointing.

Lol, is that actually how it happens? Just out of nowhere like that, surprise?

    EtherealSummoner Lamentations 3:22-26

I didn't feel so annoyed with the system. Besides, the commands usually have a cooldown time until the player can use the command or ability again so I would rather stick in abilities that I know will be helpful. Thunder Surge is one of them since you are literally invulnerable to attacks.

I doubt that you will be disappointed with this game. <_< And yes Kitty. That literally happened in my mind with the exceptions of the fanboys and girls. Want me to show you a video clip of it?

For me I am torn between BBS, KH2 and DDD, but I'm going to go with DDD just because of how it takes all the previous games and perfectly funnels their individual stories into this huge final conspiracy of Xehanort trying to forge the keyblade after his first failed attempt. So many questions were answered and so many were also posed, I think it is the best bridge game and for me one of the best overall with the unique Dream Eater leveling and the flow motion attacks. I hear a lot of hate on the Drop deal and all I do is meticulously use Drop-Me-Nots and when I finish a world with one character I move on to the other and establish a fun rhythm. Kingdom Hearts 2 is still a SUPER close 2nd but I am a story guy lol. making BBS also a very close 3rd

For me it's a toss up between Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2. I liked that the storylines were still fairly simple back then and I enjoyed having them on the console (though I have Chain of Memories for the PS2, it was originally made for the GBA).

I'm gonna have to say Chain of Memories. First of all it was my very first KH game and therefore holds a nostalgic value to me, secondly I love the card battle system and the beautiful spritework + the impresive execution of the GBA utilizing FMV cutscenes.
KHII is the best game by far in terms of everything, in my opinion, but I still like CoM more :)
