Divine Inheritance (OOC + SU)

After speaking with Hope quite a bit on this matter, we have agreed that I will be taking over the main antagonist for the current story. I hope you guys don't mind I have taken a few creative liberties with the character and changed up his profile slightly. Nothing that will change what he has already done in the story though. All of the updates were approved by Hope.

Name: Emperor Atticus Jupiter Brakdern Darrem (Atticus)

Age: 97

Race: 1st generation Demigod

Title: Storm Seer, Storm Emperor.
Later titled "Bringer of Death" by those loyal to Newgate.

Discription: Atticus has the same hair color and texture as Jaxx, as well as skin tone. His eyes are clear and silver colored, almond shaped and somewhat close set. His lashes and brows are the same silver tone as his hair, but slightly darker in color. His facial features are ruggedly handsome. He keeps his beard well groomed, mostly to the length of well trimmed scruff. His body and face are decorated the scars earned from many conquered enemies and won battles. He has a fairly intimidating build at 6'5" and muscular body type. He appears to be in his 40's rather than almost 100 years old.

Picture/Armor:

Personality: Atticus has a naturally charming, warm, and ambitious personality. Especially in his youth. Close to a century of battle and hardship has hardened him in many ways, though. He still carries the same charisma and charm as always. But he is much more cynical and controlling in his older age. Many close to him would say he is unpredictable and dangerous. Influences as well as his own ambition is slowing unhinging his mind. It is very slow to show it though. He has a huge superiority and pride issue and is a bit of a womanizer.

Weapon(s): Sword forged from, rumors say, hell fire by Pluto and the lightning of Jupiter. It is a sword capable of conducting and amplifying his fire and lightning control. It also has poison chambers within the blade that he can choose to activate for a quick victory.

Powers: Where he is a first generation, Atticus is more powerful than most. But his power is beginning to fail him with age. Like his daughter much of his power comes from the sky. He can summon great storms. But his power is more specific and controlled. He can summon lightning bolts from himself and his weapons to create terrible destruction.
Most of his power is also in straight up energy. He harnesses this to move objects without touching them, and control weaker minds. He messes with evil magics which has enhanced his abilities further and will be revealed in the RP.

Abilities: Has a love for battle and because of that, plus his experience, he's very good at it. He has little empathy which makes it highly unlikely that those who face him survive.
Like most demigods he is incredibly strong and fast.

Goals: To remain in power until he achieves his ultimate goal. To kill any threats without mercy.

Bio: Atticus has no earthly father. He was raised until age 12 by his mother, who was 5th generation descendant of a Juno. His mother was a peaceful woman who, even as a descendant of a god herself, actively practiced the old religion of Titan worship. They had to move frequently because of his mothers openness about her religion. They were often shunned, mocked, and threatened by society for her beliefs. She kept Atticus's lineage a secret for years. Finally, at age 12, Atticus learned the truth. In his anger, he killed his own mother using his newly discovered powers. From then on, he vowed that just as his father ruled Olympus, he would rule the world and rid it of heretics like his mother. He curses Titans and all of their followers.
He, as a child, moved himself to Sax and took care of himself. He joined the army at 16. By the time he was 30, he was leading the military based specifically in Sax. He held this position for many years before he joined the council (representing Sax). It was only a few years later that Emperor Newgate came into power by winning the reaping. Newgate was unusual in his leadership and though many embraced the changes he wanted to make for Azureth, a majority did not. Atticus used this opportunity to challenge Newgate for the crown and won. During this time he also married and had one daughter, JaXx before his wife was killed in the wars.
Now he rules Azureth. Under his rule, chaos reigns. The Titan worshipers are now actively being persecuted, enslaved, murdered, and driven out. The wars have only gotten worse and corruption has filled the council and army.

Relation to other characters:
Jaxx- Jaxx is his daughter, and he prized her in her youth. He provided her with the best training and was very involved with her upbringing even though he had employed people to take care of her in times that he could not. He is very strict and holds very high expectations for her. He proudly calls Jaxx his living legacy and entrusts her with many tasks. Still, he keeps her in the dark with some of his more controvercial plans.
Lucius- Lucius, the general of his army, is also among those in the Emperors favor. Even as a council member, Atticus was one that supported the general of the Imperial armies. Much like Jaxx, Atticus entrusts many tasks to Lucius and treats him like family in some ways. He does hold the same high expectation and harsh strictness though.
Raven- Atticus heard about Raven before he met her. She doesn't know this, however. When she was brought to his kingdom, it was not willing and it cost him many of his men to acquire her. It was a slow process, but he managed to gain her trust. He holds a fondness for her, that she, to his annoyance, does not entertain. He has mostly seen her coldness as a challenge than a rejection. Still, there is something about her that is quite different and mysterious. He does everything he can to keep her close until he can figure it out.
Voltair- He seems very interested in the idea of immortality. He hears rumors of a gladiator in the country who has never been hurt in the arenas. He has sent men to find this person but his search parties usually return empty handed if at all. After a while, Voltair seems to have disappeared from the public eye entirely. This has only interested Atticus more in finding the so called 'immortal' warrior.
Kable- Rumors of a mercenary that has amazing power that claims to not be a demigod have also reached the castle. He has asked a few close soldiers to investigate this but has not yet taken action. There is also speculation that the mercenary is someone who had once served in the military and deserted or retired.
Lilith- His old enemy, Newgate, had a daughter named Lilith. On the day he took over, Lilith displayed impossible power in her anger. He had her taken prisoner on that day and she "vanished" from the public. He has kept her hostage since that day for reasons unknown.
Gerik- A prince from a foreign country has recently entered his country in search of knowledge. He saw the prince as a young fool of little interest. But, his presence did present a rare opportunity. Atticus is interested in gaining access to Gerik's home country for reasons he has not shared. He attempted to arrange Gerik's 'accidental' death by sending him to a condemned Titan village in the mountains. The attempt was unsuccessful but Atticus is not yet aware of this.
Oryx- He really doesn't know Oryx yet and hasn't heard much about him specifically.
Paige- He has had a few encounters with Paige that he is not aware of.
Merrick and Tess- The emperor has recently hired the rouge assassins for a few different tasks on his armies behalf and more importantly has a contract with them on behalf of his daughter. He personally does not get along well with either of them, particularly Merrick.
Marcus- Many have suffered after the rise of Emperor Atticus Darrem. Few as much as the Titan Worshipers and the Amazons. The amazon warriors were forced into military charge after the takeover. Their prince, Marcus, once in the line of Azureth's succession was blackmailed into leading imperial armies and leaving his people to oppression.

Other: Atticus has done well to rule his country with an iron fist. And he has done many good things during his reign. But he has also done great evil. Many believe Atticus is going mad and they would be right. Though a majority of the population has been manipulated into respecting and honoring him, he is not a good king and he has plans that could be devastating to the masses if he succeeds.
He also has a very controlling and obsessive streak. Once he has decided he wants or owns something he will stop at nothing to keep it or make it so.

Name: King Haldor Lothbrok

Age: 79

Race: 4th Generation Demigod Bloodline of Thor god of War and Thunder

Discription: Haldor is a mountain of a man who stands at 14 ft tall and highly superior physical prowess. His hair is naturally thick, black, and coarse. He shaves both sides of his head and braids what's left back in rows and paints the tops of each braid with white paint. The same paint fills his beard which is thick and also braided. His face is shaped by wrinkles and sharp and gagged features reminiscent of stone. He is covered from head to toe in remarkable scars which he wears with pride. The most noticeable of his scars is a thick red mark which covers the right side of his face. His eye on that side is mutilated and blinded so he covers it with an iron patch. Though Haldor appears to be younger than he really is he is still quite battle worn for a demigod his age. His armor is adorned with his crest of the snarling face of a bear. He wears black paint around his eyes.

Personality: Haldor's personality is gruff and unruly. He is brash and bold in nearly everything he does. He is merciless to anyone weaker than him, which is nearly everyone. But if someone can prove to him their strength, they earn his respect and unyielding loyalty. In battle or other more serious times, Haldor is steely and savage. He is a natural leader and a fierce to the point of easily intimidating both ally and foe. Off the battlefield, Haldor enjoys his time with drink and competition.

Weapon(s): The two massive ass axes in the picture. He also carries an equally large two handed sword. All of his weapons are so big and heavy, he is the only one who is able to effectively use them in combat.

Powers:
Supercharged Strength- Among his own clansmen Haldor is physically the strongest (not to be mistaken with Lilith's strength. It comes from a different source). He is strong enough to strangle a bear with his bare hands and uproot great and ancient oaks from the ground.

Thunder- Because Haldor's bloodline is so old, he can not summon lightning storms like a demigod with a younger line. But the swing of his axe is enhanced with the force of Thor. Meaning sometimes his weapons can emit a shock and when that happens a loud crash noise is heard.

Abilities: Experienced warrior is Haldor. He has lived through hundreds of different battle strategies and is good and picking out which kinds of strategy will work well against his enemies. His lack of sympathy aids him in finishing fights brutally and quickly.

Goals: Haldor is in it to lead his clansmen to glory and riches. But he is also fiercely protective of Ilda, the Grand Chieftain. Though she does not need much protecting.

Bio: Great grandson of Thor, the god of war and thunder and the even greater grandson of Vör the goddess of wisdom. Son of King Freystein The Bloodfist. Haldor has been told since he was jut a wee murderer that he was destined for greatness. But first, he would have to prove he deserved it more than any of his thirteen brothers. He did so by stripping nude and attacking a 600 pound grizzly bear bear that was terrorizing his village. He strangled the creature with his bare hands and dragged its corpse to the throne of his father. He then killed three of his brothers in the same way for accusing him about lying about the whole thing. He was 15 years old at the time. The following years were hard on his clan with many violent wars. One of which wars took the life of his father and Haldor quickly ascended to leadership. Since then he has led his clan to many victories. He also fathered many sons, but the harsh conditions of his lands and the wars took all but one who grew to adulthood. Unfortunate be it may, his only living son was a complete shame. The boy was scrawny and a massive pansy in the eyes of Haldor. When Ilda suggested the invasion of Azureth, Haldor saw more opportunity than one. He agreed to join Ilda to Azureth and aid her in capturing the new world. But only on condition that she marry his worthless son and, in so doing, unify the clans. Much debate was made over the trade and contract of the union but in the end they came to a suitable agreement. Now in Azureth, Haldor is indeed pleased with their decision. The people of Azureth have thus far been all to easy to sew down like chaf, their lands and riches for the taking.

Name: Finnan Loch


Age: 43


Race: 5th Generation Demigod


Title: Blood Drinker, Young Loch


Description: Finnan stands at 7”2 with a strong muscular body. He has thin blond hair that goes down past his shoulders. He wears a braid on the right side of his head just beside his temple. His beard is cut short in the middle and the two sides are braided. Like his clan leader King Lothbrok, Finnan is covered with scars from his many battles. The scar above his left eye is his latest addition; he was however fortunate in that he kept the eye.

Personality: Growing up in Haldor’s clan Finnan has grown to be hostile and brazen. He has very little respect for any warrior other than his clan leader. He will follow his clan leader to hell and back.

Weapon(s): His weapon of choice is a two handed long sword that he keeps strapped to his back. He also carries a hand and half sword as well as a hatchet.


Powers: One-Man Army, Weapon Proficiency


Abilities: One-Man Army - When Finnan’s one man army ability kicks in he becomes unaware of what is happening around him, he has been known to attack both friend and ally when this happens. His weapon proficiency ability has proven most useful growing up around his clan. His preferred weapon is the two handed sword with secondary weapons on the side.


Goals: Finnan lives for battle. The glory and riches are a pleasant side benefit to the thrill of a good battle.


Bio: King Lothbrok was already in his late thirties when Finnan was born. Born a descendent of Shiva, Finnan comes from a proud line of warriors. Growing up on stories of Haldor the Unruly, Finnan swore that one day he would be worthy to stand and fight at his side. Young Loch showed promise at fighting from a young age. His father had started training him since he could lift a weapon. He was impressed to find that his bloodline had been kind and granted him weapon proficiency. In the years that followed Finnan fought in many battles with his father. It was one unfortunate day that his father was killed in front of Finnan that he lost control. It was this day that his family learned that Finnan possessed two abilities from the bloodline.

I like it, but I've got one slight comment on it.

He didn't use Gerik to lead his soldiers to destroy the village. He figured he could send Gerik towards that village and have him end up as a casualty, thereby giving him an excuse to gain entrance into Gerik's country.

 

I must have misunderstood when Hope explained Gerik's encounter with Atticus. It has been corrected but we might need to discuss why Atticus wants into Gerik's home country at some point.
