    [IMG] 120 SHRINES!? As in 120 dungeons/mini-dungeons?!

Yes, there are 120 total. That being said, it isn't as impressive as it sounds. There are plenty of them (Possibly at least 40) that are either Blessings or Tests of Strength. The blessing ones, well their "puzzle" is how to get to the shrine itself. Once you get in them, you have a chest to open and then can immediately get the spirit orb. No puzzle inside. The tests of strength come in three flavors, minor, moderate (Though I don't think that is the word they use), and major. For each of them there is an enemy you fight and nothing else.

Welp... I got my first taste of the Switch the other night by way of my cousin; he brought his over for a family gathering. I played one game (some racing game that I don't remember the name of, but it was fun). I also took a look at BotW, which I think looked like a damn good game to have at hand. My first impressions on it were:

    1) I kinda imagined it being larger than it actually was. Like, I was expecting something closer in size to, say, a full iPad. Granted, that's on me for not looking into its specs on my own.
    2) due to said size, the controllers in its portable mode felt kind of awkward, though I'm sure that if I owned one for myself, I'd eventually get used to/more comfortable with them. But at first try, it was weird, especially with my fat old sausage fingers.
    3) Definitely looking like Nintendo has, generally, stepped up their graphics game with the Switch, so that's a plus. I feel like they've generally been behind the curve in that department.

Hey man, to me that's still sounds like a whole lot. Even the extra dungeon (well more like arena fights) in Twilight Princess was a lot for me. haha

I really want a Nintendo Switch!!

I got to test drive it at the Nintendo Switch Expo in Paris back in January and it was honestly stunning. The ten minutes of Breath of the Wild that I got to play was breath taking. Once I do buy the system, I feel like I will be crying as I play it. It seems too glorious.

I also played Mario Kart 8 twice while I was there. It looks really good, but I find it is still quite similar to the one on the Wii. Also, because the remotes are quite tiny, it is a bit awkward to maneuver. I played once with the wheel and once with the remote and I feel like the wheel is definitely worth it. It did not impact my gaming though as I was first both times (take that French people). Kidding! I only feel love while I am here.

Have any of you guys got that Switch 1 2 game? Cow milking is the best (and most awkward) gesture ever.

Once I am back in Canada, I may get a switch, but I may get a PS4 instead... I still have not gotten one and all...

    Money :'(

Soooo I'm leaning toward wanting this more and more. Mario, Zelda, Xenvorse 2, it keeps adding things and they seem to at least be trying with indie. (at least)

I've been leaning in the same direction lately. Just not sure how the money is gonna be for it.

Likewise. Granted I think it'll be easy to make a plan to get the money compared to PS4 or others. The switches online thing even seems a manageable 20$.

Bought a Switch recently myself. Only have breath of the wild on it and I have to say it is a beautiful console. It plays very well, whether you are playing it as a hand held or connecting it to a TV. My only complaint and this isn't even a major issue is I would have preferred if the charging point was on the top of the console and the earphone jack was on the bottom. Otherwise I can only speak good about it.

I've heard this complaint before. It doesn't sound like a major one but one many wish for. =0 Is it really annoying? (not that it'll stop me from getting one one day)

Not really no. The cable can sometimes get in the way when you are playing and it is charging. It also worries me when I see my brother or someone else playing it and they are holding it in a way that bends the cable. Although the cable itself is built sturdy as most of Nintendo's gear is. So its nothing big to worry about

Not really switch related but I see no reason to make a new thread for it, I have got to play the SNES mini classic system Nintendo released. I honestly kinda love the little thing, it's cute af.

Pretty sure a Switch coming my way in 13 days. No confirmations though. Hype is building.

There's dlc!? :D I've been keeping out of the loop as much as I can. I want to go in with no spoilers.

Yep. Came in two waves. Both waves add new pieces of armor designed after various things from the series (Being able to wear Majora's Mask, for example). First wave of DLC also added a travel medallion, which allows you to place a single warp point wherever you want for ease of traveling, a korok mask which lets you know when you're close to one of the 900 korok seeds scattered throughout the map, a thing called Trial of the Sword (Which I won't really explain unless you want me to. Not sure how much of it is considered spoilers or not), and Master Mode.

Second wave of DLC added more armor, like I mentioned, some new story bits, 16 new shrines to go with the story bits, a new dungeon, some new horse equipment, and a special reward for completing all of the new story related stuff.

Oh, and upon purchase of the DLC there will be 3 chests placed on the great plateau. One of them gives a piece of armor, which is a Nintendo Switch shirt, and the other two is just money or something.

I should point out that if you do plan on getting the DLC, Trial of the Sword and the new story stuff will not be available until you have completed certain things in the game.

At this rate, I doubt I'll get a Switch until March, at the earliest; car repairs suck.

Ah the car, the money hole on wheels. D: I hope you get it repaired soon.
