    Well the game is centered around roxas. And roxas didnt meet her untill Kh2.
    So there is a chance that she wont be in it.
    And where did riku come into this. Is he even in this game? Did i miss a screenshot or something?

    Its all speculation as far as I know, people are basing it off of the KH2 organization even though its before KH2. Its possible characters will be aluded too, but if Roxas didn't have these encounters until KH2 its unlikely that he will have them in 358/2...

    im sure it will be like a 98%. I woudn't be very amused if they talked about her, but still its always interesting.

    She would probably be in it. Roxas forgets everything so he wouldnt remember Namine. But Namine did say in Kh2 "I wanted to meet you atleast once" meaning she never met him but hey nobody knows until the game comes out.

    Namine is actually very important remember that she is working on soras memories during roxas adventures and xion is connected to soras memories so namine will be mention a few times during this and it will be tied in with xions existence.

    and to answer your question, no they don't HAVE TO, because they didn't, we basically already know about namines past. She was helt captive in castle oblivion. She doesn't really have much of a past
