Who would you vote for and why?

Everyone loves passionate, heated debates about their favorite candidate for presidency, but please...and I repeat "please", look at this from an objective standpoint.

Don't attempt to convince me why I should vote for him, tell me why you vote for him, and why you support that party.

In addition to that, do you think Hilary should've made it and not Obama?

    I value all opinions.

Finally someone started a thread about this! I am an Obama supporter! I think he can finally bring much needed change to America and even though he's lacking in political experience, he makes up for it in life experience! : ) And about Hilary Clinton, I don't think that she was a bad candidate, it's just Obama got more votes than she did, if she made it and Obama didn't I still would be happy, because she had a lot of good issues too.

I'm kind of glad I don't live in America, because I don't like either candidate. I won't go into much detail since it's not constructive, but both politicians are proposing things I would hope never fly.

As for Obama however, I'm tired of people voting for him because they're black, and NOT voting for him because they're white. I've read an entire essay which accused me (and all others who don't like Obama) of disliking him purely because he's black. Bullshit...I just don't like him. (Infact, it'd probably be rather exciting for me to see a black president)

So in other words; I'm not 'not supporting him because he's black.' I'm 'not supporting him despite him being black.' I usually have a certain place in my heart for the underdogs; in this case, African American presidents.

I would pick McCain. He has more experience than Obama, and I don't like many of Obama's plans. And also, Obama has changed some of his plans when he has been saying that he would stick with his ideas.

I would vote for McCain. He makes some really good points and besides, I'm a Republican. I don't like a lot of Obama's ideas.

Besides experience, what makes Mccain more eligible for the presidency than Obama?

    What about Sarah Palin?

Family matters, to me, are irrelevant to politics. I'm not going to discuss Palin's daughter because I don't see the big deal. A lot of American families have had to deal with their teen daughters getting pregnant. When we look back at the issues, it all comes down to Obama or Mccain, and the vice presidency.

    I'm going to be honest.

I don't think Sarah Palin is ready to be a "heartbeat" away from the presidency. Her patriotism and loyalty to this country is unquestionable. I know she has a son in the war, and she can probably relate to us way better than even Mccain, but I think that's the problem. She may have the credentials, but there's an innocence and uncertainty about her that makes me question whether or not she's prepared to take a bullet for this country. I, personally, don't want to find out the hard way.

I like McCain. He has alot of good points. Obama seems to change his veiws alot so I can't really trust him. Sarah Palin was a great choice.

I don't like either of em.
On the one hand we have a total Jack ass (Obama) Who can't seem to get his views straight.
And on the other we have a guy with no power (McCain) Who will be getting his votes from Palin. He did one Convention without her and no one showed up. Now thats sad.

  13. I'm going for Obama, not because I'm black or whatever but, he has more points than Mccain so there. I'd like to argue my point later but I gotz to go so buh bye now...

Don't you mean a subjective standpoint?

I dislike both candidates. They're both so hollow and unappealing to me. I'm a supporter of Ron Paul anyway, even if he isn't running anymore.

I would rather vote Obama, however. (I'm not voting this time, btw).

McCain - Has absolutely no supporters other than die hard republicans. Why? He isn't mermorable. I can't remember even one thing he has said and I've tried. Also, he's OLD so he will be lucky to make it through a term.

Palin - Hate her so much. She was only selected to get female votes. She has no experience at all, and yet uses the lack of experience move against obama. DOULBE STANDARD?

Obama - Don't like him either. He goes with his views fully liberal, until he learns more about them, and then changes his views. How can we trust this country to someone who can't even make up his mind?

Biden - Who the hell is Joe Biden?

  17. What the fux up with you guys? Mccain has been a total hippocrit, he says it's over for the rich folks with no tax paying, the S.O.B. has been supporting for years, get outta here with the whole "Obama is Muslim". WHAT THE FUX UP!!?

Obama was born Muslim. I don't know if he is now (Saw an interview where he said 'My Muslim Faith,' but I don't know if he really is. And for everybody who thinks that McCain will die soon, what makes you so sure? Genetics has a role in the time of your natural death. If any of you have seen his mother, she is like 94, and as sharp as you or me.

  19. Sigh, He was BORN Muslim just like you said bro right? But tht doesn't mean he IS Muslim....

Really? I had no idea about Mccain's momma.

Aside from looking at the canidates views, we also have to take in for account unseen factors. When people ask questions to a canidate, and the answer they are looking for is a "now" that isn't possible in most cases. Also you have to think what's better? I think our president should focus on american economy and get it stable again. I heard Obama say in one of his speaches "I believe the president should do what is needed to be done, even if it isn't popular!" Now him saying that, and he all the sudden gets put in office and he gets all the reports about every detail for the War in Iraq and he no longer wants to pull out. What do you think that would say. Also I haven't paid much attention to the canidates, but if I had to I'd go for McCain, and if you haven't notice one way or another we are going to have someone with little experience. On the Democratic side it's Obama and on the Republicans its Palin. Who would you rather have?
