Name: Destati

This is the name of the Kingdom Hearts' song: "Dive Into The Heart". The name is Italian and means awoken or awaken.

Age: In appearance: 21....Actually, around the age of Ansem the Wise.

Race: Human

Nature: Philosophical, strong willed, understanding, moral

Appearance: Having been kept eternally youthful from being born in the Realm of Darkness, Destati is shrouded in a darkness that prevents him from aging ever since returning to the Realm of Light. He has yellow, heartless eyes. Blackish brown hair like Leon's. Tall but thin, Destati wears a cloak of darkness similar to the Organization 13's. His essence is very mysterious and imposing; influential and unworldly.

Abilities:

For having lived so long in the Realm of Darkness, Destati used many powers similar to a Heartless but is also capable of wielding light but has been unable to exercise any control over the it in his heart for having been plunged in darkness.

Weapon:

Darkness and a shadow like sword created from killing his heartless mother.

History:

The young mother of the then only very curious, insightful Ansem prepared to bare another child, a brother to her only one so far. Being Queen of Radient Garden, the current atmosphere was nothing but apprehensive for another of the royal line of their prestigious family. The King had made some of the radicals of the time his adversaries without intentionally doing anything to spark a trench in the governance of the land, and so had placed his laboring wife in secrecy to give birth while he ruled the Garden as to not risk anything with the impulsive, wild foes of his in the land. The child could be the future ruler of Radiant Garden if the Garden's elders chose so. This is why much care was in place so that all would go smoothly as planned.

The day she was in labor with her new son the air masked an intensity of possible rebellion and plots to overturn the land because of their suspicions of the radicals. Moments away from giving birth, the guards, worried of attacks from the rear of the base from Radiant Garden, lowered their protective routs around the base which contained barren deserts and deep forests. Therefore, when she needed them most, the inconceivable happened.

From the opposite direction of the suspected attacks, a dark hand that had swept the land in silence that day had called forth the shadows to do its biding. The Heartless, at that time completely unknown for the most part, invaded the base. Killing all the guards, there was no one left to protect the Queen and her coming child.

Mercilessly, the Heartless devoured her right before giving birth to her last son, thus creating another heartless in the process. Though, through his royal lineage and natural heart of light, the boy as if by fate was left with his heart, yet absorbed nonetheless by darkness.

The womb made Heartless offered itself as the portal the unborn boy was forced to take, leaving the Realm of Light within the abyss as the Door to the Realm of Darkness. Within the womb still of his mother in this new land, hope was beyond the shadow born child but fear was primal and intact in the dark clutches.

Born within darkness but of a light appearing incorruptible, spared by the love in his mother's heart, the boy was forced to embrace darkness within the womb and then violently depart from it, ripping from the insides of his heartless mother out into the Realm of Darkness, then born. Being still young, the boy lay there shivering, but when his mother closed in hoping to devour a young heart still early, yellow eyes similar to a heartless' flashed and dark claws retaliated in a struggle, still covered in shadows. Overtaking the heartless attacker, the boy lay there again in fear.

Much time would pass, as he would wonder deeply the meaning of things and of his own solitary life. Seeking light in a world of darkness, the boy became older and wiser and learned to control the darkness. Though of light, he also understood innately its importance in the heart. Wandering to see the light beyond, the youthful brother, unaware of his royal heritage and of his family, learned much of the existence of the heart and of darkness and the realm that held it.

Fate lent itself to him when Yen Sid, eager to discover the mysteries behind Kingdom Hearts opened a door to the Realm of Darkness. In meditating the mysteries of the heart of all worlds, Yen Sid thought that he must be able to capture for a moment the embodiment of light within it to which he could use to create a pathway from the Realm of Light to the Realm of Darkness. Though, Kingdom Hearts lay too deep for him to feel it and he had much trouble doing so.

The wanderer, as if guided by destiny, reached the far depths of the Realm of Darkness after twenty years. Standing before the white door, he touched it and the touch itself vibrated across the universe from the Realm of Darkness to the Realm of Light. Sensing this small touch allowed Yen Sid to sense the presence of Kingdom Hearts which enabled him to muster his spells to create a portal of sorts, exploiting that presence to enter the Realm of Darkness.

Though, the portal he created was not to be found...Meanwhile, in the Realm of Darkness appeared something unusual. The touch had sent the essence of the worlds in darkness and in light which combined themselves in his heart. The touch sent one word from his fingertips up to his mouth...

Like a breath it came,

"DESTATI!"

And, so the man became named as such. Destati turned around, sensing something and saw a door of light appear, waiting in luminance. Walking forward was futile before the awe inspiring sight. Living in a world of darkness, the light expanded and then nothing.

Wakening, Destati plunged into nothingness....Suddenly, light manifested around him and he came to be engulfed in white doves. Opening his eyes again, Destati saw that he stood now upon a glass surface, surrounded by an ethereal nothing that exuded everything. Wondering where he was, white stairs appeared before him farther into that nothingness. Walking upon them, he looked back to see the glass surface again. Darkness surrounded a heart of light with someone within it. Not being able to understand who, Destati turned back and walked up the stair further. A light seemed to become clearer and clearer until he saw a Door to the Light further ahead. The stairs seemed to disappear slowly and then Destati was taken in, falling upwards into the Door to the Realm of Light....​
