Failures.

I saw rp's that I'm in where it goes slowly, or that people stopped doing the rp without telling anyone & the rp just stand there. It really ticks me off seeing all of that. I was wondering should we put all failures or paused rp's into a new forum where we just stop coming to it or just come back another time or we just close the rp & resurrect it? What do all of you think?

 

its a question that i want an answer to as well. a couple RPs i'm in on another site have just stopped and while a few of us try to keep it going, it's just not working and the posts just feel forced and come out awful. if we resurect it then we lose the great things we did, but if we keep it open and wait then the interest dies out. its difficult to know what should be done with a dying or dead RP.

 

Hear hear! Honestly, for those that actually GET OFF THE GROUND but don't quite make it past the runway, there SHOULD be a separate area.

 

I have to disagree, sure I love a lot of my RP's and stuff and some fail and do have that happen to. I've watched a lot of those happen. However, there's a reason they stop. They stop because no one is intersted in them any more, or the plot and story got dull. Now if it's something like somone being sick, in the hospital, on vacation like Hope and stuff then us as mods need a notification and we can sticky the RP.

 

You is wrong about that one Star. There are still some of them that are still interested in the rp's & if someone like me has posted & the rp stops just like that, they can't post it one more time because that's spamming. Not only that, they need to make the story more fun if it got dull instead of just giving it up. The sick & the hospital thing, I can understand & we can hold it to a pause after that, but for now, I see that those of you, especially you, be giving up on that rp without even trying to make it more fun, never even be going more than halfway through the rp, & now that I had talked about going more than halfway through the rp, I have something else to say.

You always be wanting to read the people's post some months ago. Well, I want to know why some of you don't want to read the people's post & then after understanding about what's going on, then you can post. If not, then just go to the OOC & ask what's going on. Besides, I did the same thing in that Our Final Fantasy rp that the three of us completed regardless of being not having enough rp's & you & DOD be posting back & forth throughout the rp. We can't just go "I'm giving up on this rp because I don't know where we're at." just because the rp is going real good or someone wants the rp to keep on going.

 

I like the idea of reserecting RPs, i believe Kairu re-made his takeover, but i guess that would depend on how many people are willing for it to continue once the rp has died.

But i also understand where star is coming from such as my tales of deception rp which stopped, maybe partly cause i left the site but also because the plot was really confusing.

 

But should the rp always have a clear plot that everyone can understand? If we can't make a forum for dead rp's, then should the person who is willing to have the rp to keep on going besides the original rp starter to be resurrected or what? Even now, I see one of sorabrawl's rp died out because it stopped & I'm thinking of joining Mythril's rp so I can try to keep it going.

 

But in away RPs are slightly like people, once they have reached their limit theyve reached it.
Metaphoricly speaking. Some RPs have reasons which theyve stopped, either spammy posts or the storyline goes in circles. I dont rp anymore due to this.

 

??? Storyline going in circles? You lost me on that one. Also, the spammy post, there shouldn't be a reason to have a rp that has a spam in it unless it ws accidently was spammed because they didn't see their own post for example. As for me, I actually don't have a limit because rp's is suppose to be real fun & a rp is like a story.

 

By spammy posts, i didnt mean spammy >.< I'm not sure how to describe it. Noobish posts? I don't know if there are still posts like that now, like i said, i haven't RPed in months.

 

Yeeesh Ninjy. Don't get mad at me because I thought you meant something else. But like I said, rp's is like a story. All rpers makes the story as we write (Post actually) & we make it interesting as we have it keep going & going until we come to an end. Without the rpers making this story go on, the story will have no end & it seems that there's an alternative. Rp's is almost like the creativity forum, except that it's all of us that is making the story with our own interest instead of just that one person.

And i understand where your coming from, it really is a shame to see a perfectly good RP be abondoned, a unfinished story lets say.

It really is a matter of opinion, if a dying rp should be continued or not. The dependents are those who partcipate in it, so i guess we cant comment for every RP since each story is unique with different RPers,
