    I just wanted to know which game version espers are your favorite: Final Fantasy VI version or final fantasy XII version and why.

    Well, I never did played FF6 but here is what I think:

    VI: Terra herself is a half-esper and is the daughter of Maduin. The espers plays a critical and major role in the VI world and they were needed as experiments to drain them of their powers. They were also used to power up Kefka and the a couple of people and they would be reduced to the form of magicite in order to completely drain their powers. They were created by the Warring Triad.

    XII: The children of the Ocurias. Ultima led eleven of her kind against her creators in a war but failed while the thirteenth was bound because the gods feared his powers. They would then been bound by their flesh and can only be called forth by the summoner through the glyph of the beast.

    To me, I would have to say FFVI esper version. It is because of Terra that the espers in that game had more of a role. Belias was only needed because of Ashe's royalty.

    Not even that. They only got Belias because they were looking for the Dawn Shard.

    As for myself, I'm gonna have to go with Zodiark. I haven't nearly gotten into VI enough to say which esper is truly great out of them, whereas I've gotten all the espers in XII. And since I tend to like powerful things in video games, Zodiark is my choice.

    I voted for the VI version of espers. For one, I actually used them. And you needed them to be able to learn magic and such. XII's espers were a good fight, but I never bothered to summon them unless it was necessary in the story (which was what, one time, I think?).

    I don't remember the espers from either of the games well enough to choose a favorite from among them.

    I hardly summon the FFXII espers too unless it is Zodiark, Ultima, or Mateus. I use them to help me on my scavenger hunt for many items and to fight hard enemies. Other than that, no.
