GFX Team?

Wow. Alright I have only been back for a few days, but how long have you been without a GFX Team? cause that's sorta a problem knowing that GFX has been a big part of the forums before.

I personally feel that you do Need a GFX team. and one with skills. or at least somewhat.

The GFX section on here is so dead.

It's Horrible, and I'm wondering if there is ANY way possible we as the forums family, could Revive it. I see that we have at least around 10 Graphics designers on the forums. And i know that they can all work hard and enjoy the GFX section.

I do not know why, i just want to be able to help in that area.

 

Everything will be explained in due time.

 

Things don't need to be explained, they need to be changed.

The only way to get it up and running again is people actually care about it. That's why a solid team should be remade.

 

And because some people not having the time they used to, I made a SOTM. It can make us graphic designers more relaxed and a lot more time to work on the signature.

 

Well, alright I'm very sorry for bothering you all with this. It is important to me, but i see not as much to you guys. I understand. Although i will try to do what i can to motivate some.

Although this thread has pretty much hit the end of its purpose/life-span, I just want to chime in that building a GFX team is never a solution to building the popularity of GFX on a forum. Really it's more of a means to organize what there already is. You really can't build a team on a purpose that the forum as a whole is disinterested in. Even if you have super eager team members, their lack of response from the forum as a whole (comments such as "it's good", "ya nice work", "its awesome! " which, while intended to be nice, offer nothing to the signature/whatever-maker) will always lead to a lull in the team and then it will die. Events such as SOTW become whose-the-best-GFX-team-member and such. A team won't do anything and while I don't wish to discourage you from trying to get people interested in GFX, the truth is that it's one of those things where if someone has an interest in it they would reach out to get into it or just download a program for it and start trying stuff. sobasicallylongstoryshort, there needs to be an abundance of interest or actively engaged members in the first place - you can't really create that and it's just something that needs to happen on its own.

This isn't a problem exclusive to this forum or anything. GFX in its entirety is just not as popular as it was years ago.

 

Ok, if we came up with a dedicated team, how would we make that official?

Alright, so if we could come up with the group of people, we would need to talk to someone like you first before trying to take any serious control, right?

 

I am confused that you missed where we talked about a GFX team not being needed nor would it serve a purpose and it would just die if made in the given circumstances. I don't mean that rudely, I swear! Just that we all talked about how it isn't purposeful at the moment and you're looking at how to make it still.
