Hi everyone. I'm new here and I have Kingdom Hearts:358/2 days on DS.
I just want to ask if anyone else has seen that in the cutscenes your keyblade is normal although when you play it changes. As in Kingdom Hearts 2 on PS2 during the cutscenes the keyblade you're holding is the same keyblade you use afterwards. Has anyone else realised this or is it just me?
    Thanks.

Yeah I had Midnight Roar+ as my keyblade but during the cutscene it changed back into the Kingdom Key.

It's because the main keyblade is the kingdom key, the other ones are just to play with and help you get stronger and not have the same one all the time, to everyone else the hole game he mostly has the kingdom key.

    >.< how clueless are you guys haha. Not to be mean, but there is a reason for it. It's also obvious. It has something to with Xion as well, well sort of.

It's not a storyline reason. The DS only has so much processing power compared to the PS2. The PS2 is able to show Sora with whatever Keyblade he has equipped because the cutscenes are not pre-rendered. Every scene in Days is pre-rendered, so no matter what you have equipped, the game is programmed to show the Kingdom Key.

Basically, the normal, KH 1/2-ish cut scenes you see in Days are like an equivalent to the uber high-res cut scenes you see in the console versions. (ex. the opening sequence of KH1 and 2) These types of scenes aren't messed with to adjust to how you are playing the game - like what keyblade you currently have equipped - and in all actually, who cares? That's just how it is.

This was what I had thought originally. But apparently I was mislead.

    Thanks for clearing it up.

also, anyone else notice that in those cutscenes, the keyblade looks as thin as a sheet of paper? lol

'Tis the limit of graphic quality on the DS.

Yeah, I think its just the DS. Lesser quality games do that.

Like, I remember a lower-quality PS2 game I had that had the characters wearing and using whatever outfit was programmed for the cut scene instead of what your character was playing in the gameplay. Apparently the characters changed their clothes every time a cutscene started.

VentusSearcher Steam is the only way....

It's the DS. It stinks when it comes to graphics.

I dunno, some games it does pretty well. Like in Starwars the clone wars, every is quite good. But that game was huge so it required a lot more power to run it than shorter games. Well i guess i shouldn't play power since it's more memory related.
