Read Me, All of You! :D The Talk

So as seeing I'm back to a pretty active self and have been back now for 5 days, I've seen a lot. So many new faces, seeing how many have grown and become great members from when I left were just brand new. Then there are many members still like me are like Raiden, Mike, and Pulse from when I left, the true veterans of the site.

The site looks great with so many new updates as well! The new RP Arena, The Social Groups, we even have totally awesome lay outs. Then there's the main website with some good active posts. Everything looks great.

One thing I've noticed though that has been bugging me for the past few days is, where's the life in the site? If I didn't know better the site is sort of dead, even talking to Nozomi, it lacks motivation. On top of that, there's even some spam.

I'm sure all of you now see the point of this thread, you guessed it, pep talk time with Kairi Star/ Dawn.


We all need to make some changes to create a positive in pact on the website. We all can do this, quite simple to do as well. For one, why is there only one section with all the activity. Yeah RolePlaying has always gotten the attention, but let's broaden our horizon, members! Explore new things. There's so many categories that can be posted in and stuff to start up some talk. Like hey maybe there's a movie you watched, or maybe even TV show. Hey how about some debates on Tiger Woods or even the Health Care Bill. I know all of us posted in Spam City at one point, but what happened to it? It's Ghost Spam Town.

Another thing is about the RP section, I don't know if there's a disease going around causing writers block, or something, but there's no new RP's. Very few, and there just sort of there, not much creativity behind them. I've seen a few with some creative backgrounds to it, that I see as being a huge sucess, but even then those RP's can be improoved. Plus I'm not seeing many RP'ers. Like a lot of the RP'ers from my time still active on the site, aren't even as active there anymore. Come on, let's make the RP section the best it can be!

Next up is some of the extras on the website. I don't know about you guys, but I loved the social groups, but the last post made was 3 weeks ago, before I made a post which even then was now like 2 days ago. We need to liven that up. I mean there now like seperate little club forums that you can make threads in. I think they're better now than ever, but the activity doesn't show that. Then there's some other extras like the arcade. When was the last time one of you had played a game? How about the tortaments, and don't tell me it's because staff doesn't make one. You can create your own, make a thread in the arcade forum and have people print screen there score. Anyone can organize this!

Next up is a fault with everyone, members and staff. I'm not saying how staff should be run, and I'm not going to be a dictator to you guys neither. There's just so much spam! Do you guys even remeber what spam is? It's A.) a gross food in Hawaii and B.) and the MOST IMPORTANT, something of complete nonsence and a waist of space, causing annoyance and makes a member on forums look stupid when they post this. So can we please focus on this, it is annoying if you like it or not, and if you don't think it is, it is to others, so be thoughtful of others; I will say one thing, it's really annoying me.



So this basically it, but there's so much more that could be discussed here. I know I may get some complaints, some flaming, and some of that other crap that causes spamming. I may get some members, maybe even staff mad at me, but I will say this much I don't care what you think, and unless you admit it or not, all that I have said here is true. It needs fixed and taken care, so were all members on this site, on this forum, in this online COMMUNITY, so...

LET'S MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER OF THE SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!​

 

Now then since a majority of you have read this and from I heard from some people, understand these changes, I vote we start making those changes now, so here's a list of what we can do first.

Operation: Eliminate SPAM-- Read the rules as a refresher for everyone. After doing that focus on not spamming. If you see spam anywhere or you accidentally do like a double post showed up when you meant one, then inform that seperate forum's moderator, a super moderator, or admin.


Socializing in the Social Groups-- This should be the easiest to bring back to life is social groups. Due to the site being, well zombie like, weaving in and out of people's profiles, I can see some people say they're bored. Well hello, we got two categories to help with that, arcade and social groups. Here in the social groups it's like it's own little forums, but post counts aren't taken, and there's really no need to worry about spam(unless you do a double post perhaps)


Creative Minds Think Like RP'ers-- Ok time to work on RP'ing. Considering it's the most popular forum, this should be easy to fix. For one, we need to start following the RP'ing rules. Thanks to Insanity, he has organized a perfect list of rules, and all the seperate threads of guides and such for RP's have also been combined into, the same area under one thread. So you don't need to go to hfive billion threads for help on things. In a little bit as well, I will be creating a new post on how to add some creativity to RP's and posts to make it more interesting. So definately look for that, I think we all could reuse that creative post.

Give me an A, Give me an C-T-I-V-E, What is it, the root word or Activity!-- Ok this is something we can all start trying to do is be more active on the forums. Being active on the forums brings the member back from the undead. Listen if you don't have time to be on the forums, that's totally fine, but let me put it this way. Since my return I've been on the site everyday for at least and hour and a half. Plus I'm also in 4 types of bands at school. I have to practice music for those bands. In a few weeks I have a band section leader tryout that I'm practicing music for. I'm involved in other stuff such as Girl Scouts, and then I also have school work. I have an account on Quizilla where I still have to work on stories to give my fans there something to do, I have family problems, and then finally I have friends to deal with. So if you're not as busy as I am, I'm sure you'll be just fine being a little more active. Also when it comes time for big tests like SAT's and Finals, don't worry about the site, but come back as soon as you can, y'hear.



Then that's what everyone can start off doing now to change the site back from dead, or if we're still going to be zombies, at least we'll be Thriller Zombies.
