"Gifor!" A large fireball was thrown out from a red-haired childs hands. The child stood at only around four and a half feet tall. His crimson red hair and black clothes were different from most people his age. The fireball he threw hit a blue book on the ground near a large dog. As soon as the fire hit the book, the dog began to fade and soon both dog and book were gone. A man got up and started running from the kid as another walked up towards him. "Good job Akira. Another Momodo cut from the fight."
"Yeah. Let's go." The kid responded as he put a pair of headphones in his ears.
"Where to?" The man asked? He was blonde with red clothes and sunglasses, holding a book the same red as Akira's hair.
"I don't know. You lead Zeke." Akira answered as he pressed a button on an MP3 player, blaring loud rock music into his ears.
"Right." Zeke muttered as he put on the sunglasses.

Somehow, once again, Kenji Osokawa found himself skipping classes to come and visit the nearby park that was only a mile away from his school. Nothing that day was going quite how the young student wanted it to. In Gym they were supposed to play baseball, in Math it was more sine, co-sine, and tangent work sheets, and English ...

A shiver ran up the student's spine as he thought on how horrible that one class was. And on top of his others; that only made it worse.

Shifting his knees so one was always close to his chest, Kenji pushed back more locks of his silvery mane from his face.

"Why do you settle for average?" The familiar voice came from the tree limbs above him, and without bothering too look up, Kenji waved a hand through the air and shrugged. As though that simple gesture should have been enough to explain why. There was a slight harrumph before Fate went on, "It's stupid of you to not work as hard as you can."

Kenji couldn't help but laugh. "That's the pot calling the kettle black," he quipped. Arching his head upwards, steely gray eyes met with a singular lavender iris. The haunting eye, on top of that expressionless face, at one point was just that. Haunting. But after nearly a month together, that feeling had faded away and become somewhat of a norm. "Make a deal with you, if you win this whole battle for king I'll start getting A's and B's instead of B's and C's. Sound like a deal?"

"Oh hell no!" Fate snapped. It was an obvious laid trap, meant to corner the Mamodo into trying even harder. Day one of making the contract with Kenji, and he explained what his deal for being in this battle was. There was no way he would be suckered into a double bargain. "Like I'd give you one more knot to put on my rope."

A blur of black leather fell from the tree, only to land with a soft thump against the ground to the right of the student. With a sigh, Kenji rose to his full height, and his partner did likewise.

Kenji was nearing five foot nine, and Fate was just about chest level. Frizzy, unkempt, black hair stood of its own accord above a porcelain doll-like and unmarred face. Both Fate and Kenji shared a frame similar to the other, but the Mamodo boy had more defined muscles hidden beneath his leather jacket.

Compared to Kenji, who looked like a rough-and-tough school boy (what with his disheveled uniform), Fate looked like a street mafioso who was ready to kick ass and take names later. A lone eye patch covered the demon child's left eye - the only dysfunction that was noticeable. Not a single person would be able to tell that Fate Destin Olthwright was capable of manipulating the very gravity around him.

A special trait given to him by the spell book carried within Kenji's backpack.

Once more the student shrugged, "Your choice." he commented before turning his back to the gruff boy. Without another word, Fate fell in behind the student and the two walked aimlessly. At least, that is, until Kenji turned down the street that led to his house.

"You're not going back to the school? What about Ayla? She'll have your notes."

"Don't play dumb," he stated in a matter-of-fact tone, "you know as well as I that we can't fight at the school. We'd destroy too much."

A dark chuckle emanated from Fate's throat.

The two of them had not been so daft about their pursuers. A cranky old man and a seemingly innocent tub-baby. Why the child was in a floating bathtub, only the Mamodo knew.

After Kenji had taken four right turns to make sure no one was on the street near them (and thus wouldn't get harmed by the fight), he stopped. Knowing that by now the enemy following him was growing impatient.

The light clank, clank, clank of a cane smacking the concrete disturbed the easy quiet Kenji was starting to enjoy.

Turning to face the old man, he smiled, "Well hello there geezer. You lost?"

"Not yet boy," came a shaky voice in reply. As if to match Kenji's sarcastic smile, a crooked and wrinkled smile split the elder man's face in two. "But you will."

  3. Calling

As the final bell of U of D Jesuit High School and Academy rang, Reon Hiru gently placed his Algebra Ii/Trigonometry book in his bag and got up. He untucked his white dress shirt and folded each sleeve perfectly three times and lessened his black dress tie and began to leave the classroom which was labeled 140. He undid his black dress belt by one notch and it loosened its grip and his black dress pants (that were a perfect fit) sagged slightly over his black dress shoes that covered his black dress socks. It was simply another day at the school but this one was considerably different as this was the day before the three days that would follow his second semester's final exams which ultimately lead to the end of his Sophomore year. Like his Sophomore year, his Freshman year was extremely successful. He had finished with a 4.0 GPA and got perfect attendance as well as conduct. He slung his backpack over his shoulders and slid his arms under the straps and shoved his hands in his pockets before brushing a strand of hair that got in his eyes. He looked to his right and his teacher, Mr. Chuck Gumbel nodded to him gesturing goodbye and Reon did the same.

    * * *

As he stepped into the black Pontiac Solstice being driven by his coffer and closed the door to the passenger seat and the coffer gently asked him, "Which radio station would you like, Mr. Hiru?"
Politely, Hiru gestured with his hand and said, "It's fine, Mark, you can keep it on what it is."
Very well sir," he said as the Classical piano continued to play blissfully as they pulled away from the school.

In a black dress shirt, suit, tie, pants, belt, shoes, socks and white dress shirt stood a rather short individual with a red book in his hand and he turned up his lip and said under his breathe slightly, "Meh, what a richy rich >:-T"

Walking down the main street of the city were a very strange pair. One was a blonde teenager with gold clothes with red crosses on the front. His expression was blank as he stared at the girl walking in front of him. She wore what looked like a school outfit but upon closer examination, it'd be impossible to find a school with the same uniform. She had her arms crossed and she was scowling. "Will you hurry up Dante?"
"Calm down Suki. There aren't any Momodo we know of in this area so we won't be fighting for a while." Suki just grunted in frustration. The two kept walking until the passed by a car dealership. Dante stopped and looked, his eyes glued to the new porsche on the showroom floor. Suki walked a little farther until she noticed he stopped. She walked back and stared at him for a litte while. "What?"
"Let me ask you something Suki. Should a queen have to walk everywhere?" He said as an evil grin came onto his face.
Suki looked at the car and got a smile to match his. "Why no, a queen is chauffered everywhere."
Dante pulled out a book from a pocket in his clothes. "We'll need to cause a big enough scene."

"Then use two." Suki took a few steps back and crouched down, ready to charge the window. She charged and just as she was about to hit the glass, Dante yelled out a spell. "Kivol!" Instantly Suki glowed and two large mechanical blades grew out of her back. People around went screaming as the normal looking girl suddenly had deadly weapons growing out of her. Many went running while some hid behind whatever was closest. Suki smiled and walked over to a black metal box on the wall. With a smirk one of the blades on her back strike the box, cutting it open. "Number?"
Dante had walked inside calmly as she caused mayhem. It was normal to him, especially since he loved when she did it. He looked over the car and finally called out, "68646!" Suki smirked and grabbed the keys in the box that had that exact number. She walked over to Dante and tossed them to him as he got in the drivers seat. Suki went over to the passengers side as her blades vanished into thin air. She hoped in as he started the car and the two drove off.

Explosion's erupted and shattered the ground around the Mamodo duo. Kenji tossed up his free arm to protect his eyes from any dust and rubble that might get sent flying at them. Not even two minutes into this battle and already they were destroying hundreds of tax payer's investments.

"Dammit!" the student exclaimed. The dust began to settle and the tub-baby (apparently named Bubba and god only knew why) came into view. A curse growled in his throat, but it never made its way into the air.

Not before a weathered old voice called out, "Gettabora!" Casting a bubble over the other Mamodo that spun faster and faster until the contents inside were blurred by the sheer speed.

With his free hand Kenji grabbed Fate by the scruff of his jacket and leaped away as the rolly-polly child ripped up more road in his path.

The silver haired boy came to a skidding halt before directing a hand out at his enemy. The bubble was just about to dissipate and now would be their only chance to attack before the dust veiled another retreat.

"Jarigan!" he cried out. In one swift blur, Fate thrust out his left hand and condensed the very gravity. Taking careful, yet quick and precise aim, the punk Mamodo shot five bullets - only three hit their mark before another bubble was cast. "Shit..."

"One more time, dear." An older gentlemen told a pink hair teenage girl as she went to try and knock a glass of water off his head. She smiled and ran forward as he quickly dodged not even a bit of water dripped out of the glass, as the glass stayed in position. He jumped behind her and went to knock her glass off as she quickly dodged it and was backed up against the wall she dodged each punch thrown at her when she slid to the slide but tripped over her shoes. "Woah!" She called as she fell. "You need to know your surroundings Sakura." The older man said. "Yes master." Sakura said getting back up.

A younger girl walked in who was about 3'11" tall walked in. If known any better she would appear to be in fifth grade. "Master, could we continue my training from yesterday?" The girl asked. "Yumi, you train to often, let us all take a break." The old man said to the girl as he walked out. "Hey Sakura, how about we do some training!" Yumi exclaimed. The older girl took a drink of water and picked up her shoes and looked at Yumi. "Yumi, we practice to much and if a momodo shows up, you won't be able to defend yourself, so every other day training ok." Sakura told her. "Fine." Yumi complained as they walked down the hallway and Sakura slid open a sliding door which led into a kitchen, eating, and living area the older man was in there cooking dinner. "Master, please let me!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Sakura, I'm your father, enough with the master stuff, now get some rest, you had a long day today." The older man told her. Sakura sighed but agreed and walked over to another sliding door and opened it up walking in and throwing her shoes at the foot of her bed and setting her bottle of water on her desk as Yumi walked over to her bed and opened up the window as some cherry blossoms blew into the room.

Sakura has grown up in a dojo training area in the U.S. her master adopted her when her family abandoned her. He is from China. One of the older beliefs villages still around that practiced everything like their ancestors. Strangely though his father was from Japan so he has two martial arts skills from China and Japan.

Sakura opened up her book bag and got out her geometry homework and turned on the TV to just have background noice as Yumi put in her ear phones. Sakura only glanced up and saw they were just talking about the big city about an hour away had a break in.

"Why are you getting failing marks in Gym again?"

    "Shuddup!"

"I'm just asking because you running a marathon."

    "I said shuddup!"

The two partners sped down another vacant street. Kenji held on tight to the book as he pumped his legs and arms for more speed. In contrast to Fate's calm exterior and easy gait, Kenji looked a disaster as he barreled down the street.

The earth began to snap and give under the weight of another bubble rolling spell. Jumping a corner saved the high school student from getting flattened, but his feet still managed to get clipped - if just slightly.

Pain ignited and slowly made it's way to his brain, but he tried to ignore it.

"So, got a plan yet?" Fate asked.

Rising to his feet, Kenji dusted himself off before signaling that they needed to get on the move again. As they made their way through alleyways, carefully picking and choosing where they would go, Kenji replied, "Yeah. So far it looks as though he's only got one spell - either that or he's like us and holding back on one as a trump. That bubble spell can only go in one direction, and we both know that already."

The two of them answered in unison, "Straight."

Fate jumped down from the walls he had been traversing and caught up to his partner easily, "Alright, so while it's got high speed and destructive power it lacks maneuverability and accuracy."

"Right, and that gave me an idea."

    "To the book holder?"

"To the book holder," he repeated.

Rain fell from the sky, darkness swallowed everything up in sight, screams were the only things that could be heard and everything that came into contact with the dark water instantly froze and became statues. Everything and everyone except Anzu. She didn't know why the dark water couldn't affect her but what she did know was that she was safe while she was forced to watch her loved ones and everyone around her become lifeless. "Stop...Stop...Please...Please...I...I...said STOP!!!" and just like that, everything around her stopped. "Huh? What happened?" she asked as she stood up to look around. This was crazy, why the hell was this happening to her? Not really expecting an answer and starting to get creeped out by the eerie silence, she began to walk down the streets.
All around her there was nothing but ice. The statues were already starting to creep her out. "i guess it’s a good thing i didn't go in my house or any of the other houses in the area" said Anzu with a shudder. Because those who tried to escape the Dark water were immediately crushed by ice the size of a van. This seemed pretty fucked up in her opinion. It was like someone thought this was a game and found it funny to leave her out here alone, surrounded by ice, to figure out a way that only the person in charge knew. Well she wasn't going to play into any traps. So she took her time walking down the ice covered streets and observed the statues and noticed something interesting. The people inside the ice were still breathing, but they were all sleeping.
"Weird, why would whoever did this keep the people alive?"
    "Heheheeh"
"Huh? Who’s there?" as she said asked this, she could hear more laughter and it seemed that it was getting closer and fast. Not wanting to wait and see who or what it was, Anzu ran in the other direction as fast as she could, tripping over random pieces of ice, but no matter how fast she ran or how far, the laughter continued to ring in her ears. She continued to run before she spotted something that made her nearly have a heart attack.
The street...no the world...where did it all go?!!! There was nothing but darkness that lay ahead. it was as if some giant just decided to rip the world in half like a loaf of bread and leave her stranded on the half he didn't want to eat. The street was practically leaning over the edge. Anzu would've continued to stare and wonder if she didn't hear the laughter. That awful, spine-chilling laugh. Just as she was deciding to go hide behind something, a figure appeared out of nowhere and surprised her before she could even move.
What the hell?! It's a girl?!
"Yes, I’m a girl, who else were you expecting? The joker?" said the mysterious girl
"Why did you do all this?!!" asked Anzu waving her hand around indicating the world around them.
At this the mysterious girl laughed "Bwahahahahaha, you can't honestly believe I did all this do you."
Anzu just looked on frightened without saying another word.
Quickly realizing that she wasn't going to speak, the mystery girl spoke up: "It was you and me who did this, along with the help of that little book over there." pointing to a space in the darkness well beyond the reach of Anzu. Anzu kept gazing at the book while the mystery girl spoke:
"And with the book and you're help, I’ll become the Queen of my world. At that, Anzu turned around to face her before fainting and falling over the edge into the darkness.

    "Find any momodo?"
"No. Everything in this town seems normal." Zeke and Akira were relaxing at a small bakery, eating some cake. As Akira quietly ate, Zeke was flipping through his red book intently. There has to be a secret to the momodo. A secret to their spells and powers. A reason why they get sent here and why we have to help them. And when is the third spell going to appear? "Akira, are you sure you've told me everything about the fight? Everything about this book?"
"Yeah. And will you quit asking? That's the twelve time this week." Akira finished his food and walked out of the bakery. Zeke sighed but went back to his food. Akira could handle himself, and if it got out of hand then Zeke would know what to do. Wasn't even five minutes before Akira came flying through a wall back into the bakery. Evryone in the shop started screaming and began running while Zeke sighed and stood up, holding the book close to his chest. "Momodo?"
Akira shoved some rubble off himself and stood up. "Momodo." he replied. Zeke sighed and walked outside the whole with Akira. "Well, let's get to work Zeke." Zeke opened up the book and sighed. "Gifor!"

"Sakura, are you up? Could you run into town for me. We need more rice." Sakura's fatehr opened her door. Rice, something she ate everyday. "Yeah, I guess so." Sakura got up and grabbed her bag. "You want me to come along?" Yumi asked. "Up to you." Sakura told her as they headed out the door and down the street.

They walked out of the small market and were about to head home when Sakura and Yumi heard something like a crash and noticed a young boy be thrown through the wall. More importanty a boy standing there that gripped something to his chest, a book. "Do you think?" Sakura looked at Yumi. "I don't know, come on." Yumi said. The two went and hid behind some garbage can not being noticed by the boy and the momodo.

"Momodo?" The boy asked. "Momodo." The kid answered as the boy opened up the spell book. "well let's get to work Zeke." The momodo said to the boy who's name was Zeke. "Gifor." The boy yelled the spell.

Yumi and Sakura hid there in silence waiting to see what would unfold. All at the sametime Sakura gripped her bag covering it the best she possibly could.

Darkness, thats all Anzu could see since she reawoken. she didn't know what was going on. if she was falling into something you think she would have fallen into it by know. She then tried to look around to see if she could get a sense of her surroundings. she tried this for a good ten minutes and sadly nothing came of it. all she saw was darkness, darkness and more darkness, surrounded by floating rocks, with the occasional floating blue and red stars. feeling dissappointed and defeated, she decided to give up, letting a tear fall into the darkness as she curled up into a ball. but then there was a scream. startled, Anzu had started to scream herself but realized no sound came from her mouth.

Great, im floating in a sea of darkness with no explanation of why im here or what ever connection i supposedly have with that mysterious girl and now i can't even speak. this can't get anymore fucked up than what it already is

just then darkness started to ripple as though somebody had thrown a rock into a pond. and just then a dragon made of ice appeared through that very same ripple and let out a horrible scream that not only made Anzu cringe but bring tears to her eyes. and when the tears fell into the darkness, they created that very same rippple effect and 5 more dragons of ice appeared. and when they screamed as well, thats when Anzu noticed that since the fall from the world's edge, that she was indeed falling for real, and right into the mouths of the creature's below.

Aw come on!! you can't be serious?! how the hell am i supposed to fight off those things let alone escape them when i can't even move.

"well that's what were here to find out now, hehehehehe"

surpirse, shock and anger surged through Anzu as she turned towards the source of the voice. and there stood the mysterious girl with bluish black hair smiling with triumph as though she accomplished something so great.

"wh..why are you doing this to me?!!" yelled Anzu, suddenly realizing she could speak.

"Because this is a test, and im the one testing you silly" replied the mystery girl with a giggle.
"and you better hurry up before they get you" she added, pointing below.

Suddenly as if on cue, the dragons started screaming and began to lunge for Anzu.

The fireball hit the ground in front of the enemy pair. One was a tall black man in a business suit holding a large white book. The other was a small boy that looked to be around six. However on his head was a very menacing looking pair of horns that pointed straight ahead. "Laizon!" The man cried and suddenly a lightning bolt came from the horns straight at Akira. Akira and Zeke split, each dodging to a seperate side, as the lightning bolt crashed into the ground between them. Zeke ran towards the human as Akira ran at the momodo. "Gifor!" Akira's hand glowed and a fireball appeared and was launched at the momodo's chest. However the enemy jumped up and came down on Akira with a kick. Meanwhile Zeke had run up to the man and tried to grab his book. The man moved and punched Zeke back. As the two of them kept trying to grab the others book, Akira and the momodo had broken into an all out fist fight. Akira would punch the momodo only to get punched back just as hard.

After a few minutes Zeke leapt back and Akira leapt to his side as the enemy pair did the same. "Gifor!" "Laizon!" The two yelled out. Akira launched a fireball as the momodo launched a lightning bolt. The attacks collided in mid-air causing a large explosion. The enemy pair began looking around wildly. "Where are they? I can't see them in this smoke!"
"Gigan!" The enemy momodo suddenly began screaming as he was being grabbed and attacked by a body of flames. With a loud yell Akira broke off the momodo's horns and kicked him back. "Laizon!" The man cried. But nothing happened. "Laizon!" he yelled, trying the spell again. "Why won't it work?"
"Because," Zeke started as the smoke began to clear. "your momodo needs his horns for that spell. And Akira is holding said horns in his hands. Now, hand over your book or we'll be forced to hurt you." The man dropped it and ran. "Gifor." Akira fired off a fireball into the book, setting it ablaze. The momodo was still crying about his horns when he bagan to fade into nothing.

"Risky move Zeke." Akira said as he walked up. His face was bruised but he was otherwise unharmed. "How many times have I told you to stay back? If you lose my book then I'm gone. It's not safe for you to fight the enemy. Just stay back and leave the battle to me!"
Zeke sighed, "And how many times have I told you that we get the fight done faster if I try to grab the enemy book? You'll be dealing with the momodo and that leaves me and the other human to just sit and watch? If you don't want my help then fine but since I'm you're partner then I'm going to be forced to fight eventually. It just goes faster if I start it."
Akira was about to respond but then stopped. Zeke was a little confused but walked up closer to him. Akira then quietly whispered, "Remember how I told you some momodo can sense others? And how some can hide their presence? Well I didn't sense that pair cause they were hiding themselves but I can sense another pair around here. We should get moving. We're exhausted from fighting and now would be the best time to attack us." Akira began walking away from the other pair he senesed and motioned for Zeke to follow. Zeke glanced behind himself but began following Akira.

Kenji stood alone with his purple book clutched in a white knuckled grip. He and the old man stared one another down for what seemed like minutes. Neither one of them made a move against the other.

"So, old man, don't suppose I can make you quit before you throw your hip out, can I?" While the school boy knew the answer before it was even spoken, he felt as though asking was still worth it. After all, face to face like this, Kenji held the advantage.

A chuckle, more devious than Kenji would have thought from an old man, rumbled through the air. The man was old and wizened, so he had already foreseen such a predicament. He made an effort not to show any hint about his plans, but the man's age and withered body gave his intent away by the excited quivering it took up.

So close to the old man Kenji did not miss the sign, but whether he took the old man's next words as fact or bolster was anyone's guess. "The only one who will be hurt today, my boy, is you. Kalvao!"

Beneath Kenji's feet, the earth began to quake - as if the very word the old man had uttered was enough to put fear into the planet. But Kenji held his ground. He was determined to defeat the old man, and make sure Fate continued on to be king of the Mamodo world. For that very reason, this plan could not fail.

The rumbling earth grew worse and worse within the next few seconds, and Kenji began to find holding his ground much more difficult when it was shattering beneath him. As he lurched forward, falling to the ground, he called out, "Babaruse!"

On command, Fate (who had been hiding in the limbs of a nearby tree) cast out his arm and bent gravity to his will as the book allowed. This time, though, he did not create the devastating bullets he had before, but instead invoked his ability to lessen or strengthen the Earth's own gravitational field.

His single lavender eye watched as the bubble baby neared Kenji, it's momentum built up too much to be stopped by conventional means. Mamodo, however, were by no means conventional. But the plan wasn't to stop the other Mamodo.

When Fate's field took effect, the bubble rose through the air and skimmed over Kenji's floating body, continuing over still until it was high above the old man - who wasn't within the area of effect. The lazy Mamodo's spell held no grasp on the gravity there, and instead of continuing straight on - the bubble Mamodo's spell also stopped and sent him plummeting towards the ground. As well as at his master.

It had all happened so quickly, and when the old man finally realized what was happening he jumped out of the way. Fate released his spell and Kenji dropped safely back to the earth - just as the old man hit the pavement and lost hold of his book.

Soft groans and cries escaped the old man (along with some curses directed at his enemies) but Kenji ignored him and walked right over to the other book - pulling out a lighter, and setting it on fire. "Later old man, sorry you had to get hurt."

As the lazy pair started a steady gait, Kenji pulled out his phone and dialed nine-one-one. He did not want to leave the old man laying on the ground in pain.

    It just wasn't his style.

  14. As the car pulled up to an elegant mansion in a small and somewhat exclusive neighborhood of Detroit, Reon stepped out of the car and closed the door behind him. Usually his Schaeffer would open the door for him but he didn't feel like he had the need to have such royalties onto him for something so utterly simple. Maybe being a rich boy isn't the best thing. It wasn't that he was ungrateful for what he had for he knew the value of wealth and the power it held. However, when someone would treat him like he was a damned child it annoyed him to no end. He clicked the button of his iPod nano and played the song, "Chain" by a Japanese band called Back-On. Reon took a particular interest in his heritage as a Japanese individual and bobbed his head slightly to the treble and bass of the song as the sound was top notch and smiled when he noticed his next door neighborhood sitting at her steps smiling at him. At least I get a little luck with not trying to look pretty he said to himself as he opened the door to the cherry wood floor of his home. Insider were staff cleaning, cooking, and taking care of other things. He sighed and walked up to his room after taking off his shoes and placing them at the door.

In his room he threw his backpack on his king sized bed and and sat at his desk and turned on his Macbook Pro laptop and connected the adapter to the plug-in and was instantly connected to the internet.

    * * *

Right outside the door of Reon Hiru's home stood the same small boy with a backpack on his back and his hands in his pocket. A black car pulled away not to far fomr him and he stepped up to the door and looked up, seeing Reon Hiru in his window. He looked left then right then crouched low only to leap into the air. His feet touched a branch of a tree and he pushed off from there and flipped into his room.

Reon spun his chair and gasped. "What the hell?!"

The little boy grinned impishly and pointed at him, sticking his tongue out and speaking in a rather bratty voice, "Heheh, what's up, dude?"
Reon clenched his fist and ran up to the boy, expecting him to attack him. He was a black belt in karate as being very dedicated to his culture and launched a powerful roundhouse kick to the head of the rather small child-like boy. The boy, with almost lightning speed raised his hand up and blocked the attack. The boy moved in like a worm slipping through a crack in a wall and punched Reon in the stomach, taking the breathe away from him. He doubled over and when he did the boy raised his hands over his hand and clasped them together before bringing them down with tremendous force onto the small of Reon's back, causing him to slump on the ground of his bedroom.

Reon turned over and groaned in pain. His back was throbbing and he felt like he just received the beating of his life, which it really was. The kid leaned forward, hands in his pocket and pufed his cheeks out before his forehead touched his. "You wanna try that again?"
    "N-no..."
    "Good."
    "Who are you."
"That's for you to answer...." the boy grinned and brought a red book from his bag and thumped it on his chest and folded his arms.

    "Reon Hiru, meet me...your Momodo.
    "What?"

Sakura looked at Yumi who quitely sighed. "I lost track of focus watching them." Yumi whispered. "They're too tired to figth anyways, but you know master's policy, might as well teach them somethings." Sakura said. "You know, your momodo is quite right." Sakura stood up. Yumi coming up behind them. Sakura had their book open just incase a surprise attack came. "You shouldn't go running straight at a human, plus not the way you were. You have to be more protective of your book." Sakura said. In a falsh Yumi kicked the book out of Zeke's hands. Yumi jumped back to watch.

"Don't worry, we won't fight, unless you attack first, and I can guarantee you, you would loose. Plus you always need to be watching." Yumi said that time. "You leave yourself open, if you were going to face a momodo that kept your momodo busy where he couldn't defend you the whole time, and you faced a human who could fight, then you would be in trouble." Sakura continued. Yumi stopped though and looked at the momodo. "Wait a minute." Yumi said walking forward and looking at him. "Do I know you? You look familiar." Yumi said looking at the momodo boy.

Zeke had spun and grabbed the book instantly and was about to read off a spell when Akira held up his hand. "Is that you Yumi?" Akira asked, a slightly confused look on his face.
Zeke closed his book and took a small step back form Akira. "You know her?"
Akira got close to Yumi's face and stared at her eyes for what seemed like hours. "Yumi!" He said. His face broke out to a large smile as he hugged her. "It's been forever! Where've you been?"

"Well before leaving home, I started traveling around there anyways. I knew it would be time for me to go on my quest to become momodo queen, so I decided to go and travel and see if other momodo's were being treated as poorly as we were and I got feedback on how to be a good queen and ruler of the momodo world. I was going to go back home, but I didn't make it in time before it was time to come on my quest here." Yumi said with a smile. Sakura closed her book and slid it into her bag and smiled. "So wait Yumi how do you know this momodo?" Sakura asked her.

"Well, Akira was my best friend, technically still is. We were pratically brother and sister back at home, and we had to go through the same harsh treatments back at home." Yumi explained to Sakura. "Wow, that's real... cool. That's great!"

"A sister?" Zeke snickered. "Would she be why you don't like fighting girls?" Zeke laughed as Akira just ignored it. "Anyways if we're not enemies then how about we go out for lunch? Akira and me were interupted by the fight."
"Yeah, we can catch up on stuff Yumi." Akira said. "To tell the truth I'm kinda wondering about how you've been doing in the battle and stuff."

Yumi just grinned. "Not so much that probably because he's afraid to get beaten by a girl. I for one beat him when we were real young in many different little matches." Yumi told Zeke. Sakura just laughed some and looked back at Zeke. "Lunch sounds cool. I know a perfect little place near where I live right outside of town." Sakura told him. "So then lunch it is." Yumi said smiling.

Sakura and Yumi started leading the way out of town to the place as the scenery started to change to lush, colorful, greenery. Different trees getting there fresh spring leaves while dogwoods and cherry trees were in blossom. The scene was beautiful. They walked right past the dojo and down the road a little more when the 1pm classes were training out back of the dojo. They were the younger class consisting of middle schoolers and older elementary school kids. Yumi often trainined with them due to looking the same, but she was too tough for them and was even tough for the high school level classes so just like Sakura, she did private training.

They came to a huge Japanese style looking building as the sliding doors opened to let them in. It was a Japanese style restarant. "Could we get an outside table?" Sakura asked the hostess who nodded and took them outside. Outside there were varries covered wooden platforms with tables and little pillow seats. She led them to the one in the corner close to the river and between cherry blossom trees. Yumi sat down followed by Sakura.

"You wouldn't beat me, I'd let you win!" Akira yelled when Yumi told Zeke about their practice matches.
Zeke just laughed, "Keep telling yourself that buddy."

The two followed Yumi and Sakura to the resturant and the whole time Zeke and Akira were looking around at the sights. They had never traveled in this direction or to a place like it so everything looked new to them. When Akira saw the dojo, he got a small nervous look on his face. "Wonder how many she's beaten there..." he muttered.
"You say something?" Zeke asked but Akira just shook his head. When they reached their table, Akira and Zeke took there seats across from the pair. Zeke looked calm and relaxed but Akira looked nervous.
"So I know her name is Yumi, but what's yours?" Zeke calmly asked. "And I'd also like to know a bit about how you've been fairing in the battle. It'll help me figure out how close or far we might be in this thing."
