I have too many bands to list so I'll do my top 5 at the moment.

I mainly listen to all types of Rock, it's definitely one of the most interesting genres because one can create different types of sounds with instruments and that pulls me in. Death Metal bands can play their instruments at a high rate of speed consistently, amazing how they can keep on playing. Others just have amazing riffs that hit you in the face and have you hooked. I really enjoy listening to a lot of different bands, mostly bands from other countries. I love listening to classical/jazz on certain occasions. Definitely soothing and calm music that I enjoy. I hate today's rap/hiphop, but I listen to it if my dad is playing his Mp3 through the car or something. Most of that is from the 80's and it's mainly just awesome beats with DJ's mixing it up.

My top 5 favorite bands at the moment are:

    1) CKY - They will always be number 1 for me because they were the first band I listened to that got me hooked on Rock music. Let's say they drew me down the right path :p Great riffs and Deron Miller has a gift at coming up with interesting lyrics.

    2) Muse - Definitely a great band from the UK, very talented group of guys who love playing music and enjoy doing what they do. Best live band to see...end of story.

    3) Karnivool - A great progressive Rock band from Perth, Australia. A friend of mine (Rush) got me into them and I'm hooked. Ian Kenny (vocals) has an amazing voice who can hit all the notes thrown at him. Guitar riffs are amazing and the musicianship is out of this world.

    4) Graveyard - From Gothenburg, Sweden they are labeled as Psychedelic blues/ 70’s style rock or stoner rock :p This band definitely pulled me with their type of sound. I saw them open for CKY last summer and at the time I didn't pay attention but when I listened to their album I was blown. Having only 1album and making my top 5 is amazing.

    5) HIM - Gothic rock/love metal band from Finland. Ville Valo (vocals) has an outstanding voice and lyric writing is great. He has great acoustic songs as well. This band ranges from love songs to a heavy gothic sound with amazing riffs and catchy songs.
