Momodo Battles RP

All that was felt was the aching of his body and the exponentially growing bond deep in the heart for Vince. 'So this is the power of a mamodo' Vince thought as a fist came at him. Deep purple bruises and multiple scrapes and scratches cover the soon to be 18 year old boy's body. And in that instance the fist stopped.

"You are powerful Nox. You have already managed to surpass me in ninjutsu and I was the top pupil." Nox looked up with a smug look, "Well humans aren't as powerful as mamodo, but I ended up with a pretty strong one I suppose, I mean you were capable of fighting me one on one at full strength."

Vince looked up at the sky, "Man I'm beat, um, yeah you are going to have to find someone else to train with when we use the swords, but for now we should get to the Northern Shaolin Temple so you can maximize your fighting strengths with quick offensive attacks. But until then I need to rest. I can't believe you were capable of taking me down with one arm tied behind your back and me fighting with a staff. Oh and Nox you want to tell me what is bound up in your bag. I mean you have shown me your most precious item but you have not shared what else is within that bag of yours."

"Its my secret now don't pester me about it," Nox looked up obviously irritated. "Now why are we going to this Shaolin Temple, I don't speak Chinese. It was difficult enough learning English, with your Italian accent in Japanese. Though I still do not see the use in knowing three languages."

"I taught you English because it is the most known language in the world, and what other language do you speak I have only counted English and Japanese."

"I AM a MOMODO!" Noctis looked at Vince with a strong sense of frustration. "I don't understand why YOU HUMANS have so many different languages. I already had to learn Japanese in the Momodo World."

"Wow so the Momodo World only has one language, hmm... thats interesting, you should teach me momodoan"

"Whatever, but you should continue teaching me this language I hate not knowing what you people are talking about. You mastered seven languages, completed college, and are a fighting expert. You are a pretty good human partner."

"We are finally here," Vince said aloud.

"Yeah we are and it seems we have some others here as well," Noctis said.

"Of course there are others here this IS a shaolin temple," Vince quickly replied.

"I am not talking about inferior humans, I mean a momodo, one that seems strong. You think we can take this guy?"

"Well Nox I have not seen this guy, but we are the team so I am sure we will win. I haven't been studying battle strategies for no reason. With your speed and power there will be no one who could beat us, so don't get down because of the last fight." Nox looked up with a sense of failure for he knew what Vince was talking about. It was in there second momodo battle, the one after they had met.

Vince and Noctis had just defeated the partners who had attacked Noctis, and Nox acknowledged Vince as his true partner. As Vince and Noctis were about to walk to the monastery another team jumped out to attack them. Nox tried to get Vince to read the spell darlum again, but Vince was unsure of how to unleash the power of the book. Noctis decided to fight without the use of the book and was beaten badly, so Vince used his ninjutsu and various other ninja skills to fight against their opponents. After what seemed like hours of fighting side by side, the black book, with red symbols and black pages filled pale writing except one spell that was inscribed in red glyphs, grew bright and their opponents fled. Vince and Nox passed out and when they awoke another spell was revealed, latidar.

Vince snapped back into the current time, "Well you think they have spotted us yet?"

"No chance, it is rare for momodo to sense others, and even if they do have that ability, I am also gifted with the rarer ability to hide my presence," Nox spoke with a smirk.

Vince looked down at the 5'6" momodo, "I think we can...No, I know we can take these two. Nox I need you to keep your swords with you, I will cast darlum when we get close to them, I will check there motives and if they want to fight I want you to attack and quickly."

"I don't need cheap tricks to win since you are so confident. Just use latidar so I can get some real practice with it, I mean we have not really used it in a momodo fight so it could have some huge advantage later."

"Fine but only if you use your swords, and don't forget to poison tip them ."

"Momodo don't need such weak methods to take each other down human, but to please you I will use my swords, though I have no spells for them yet."

"Vince, it seems the enemy has seen us." Noctis whispered to the young gentleman carrying the black book.

"I thought you said they would not be able to detect us since you can hide your presence." Vince replied to the slightly shorter momodo.

Noctis looked up, "Watch out there above us!" Noctis jumped up toward the boulder, that was increasingly moving down at them. "Latidar" Vince yelled as Noctis lept at the rock, and in the blink of an eye the boulder was shattered with pebbles and small rocks smashing to the ground around the duo.

Vince scoured the landscape, searching for their attackers. 'Coward, but an intelligent one to attack from above with something massive enough to leave us with little hope of escape.' Vince thought, 'So if that was there first move, then they would ....' Vince turned around and threw five poison tipped senbon. The momodo cased in metal armor, stepped in front of the ninja's attack.

"You are pretty crafty young man, too bad Genboku has armor on him. Now for your insolence 'Garotan'!!!" yelled the massive man of about 35. Genboku held up his hand, when Noctis struck Genboku's arm with the dark and light swords he dubbed Nightfall and Daybreak respectively.

"You seem to have forgotten about me," Noctis said with a smirk and knocked Genboku into the cliff with a kick. "You guys better leave now before you make me angry." Noctis glanced over his shoulder, " Nice work distracting them while I took them by surprise." Vince stared at his partner with admiration, "You executed that one to perfection Nox."

"Gencir!!!" the massive man yelled while this exchange took place. Genboku stood up and put his hands together, wind encircled the two partners, and Noctis was thrown back toward his partner. "Hahaha, you kids really thought you could defeat me, a puny human and a weakling of a momodo." Genboku laughed hysterically at the younger team.

"Now! Vince!" yelled Noctis. Vince looked over at his bruised partner, "Fine, but it seems that I won the bet, you do need my help." Vince remarked and yelled "Darlum!!!" Instantly both Vince and Noctis faded from sight.

"Ah so you can turn invisible," observed Genboku, "BUT YOU CAN'T AVOID MY SPELL." Genboku looked to his partner, "Cast Gencir until we can stop their movement." The man down at the book, "Gencir!!!"

Noctis appeared from above with an outstretched fist as he was thrust upward from the spell, as Vince appeared from being thrown back with a kunai in hand. Both were slammed to the ground with a loud thud. 'So this momodo has the ability to throw its opponents, but his partner seems unaffected. I think I have a plan.' Vince thought. Noctis got up shakily, "You alright Nox?" Noctis nodded his head as he looked at his apparently weakened partner, "Good, Nox get in within a 2 meters and you should be able to fight him in close combat. NOW GO! LATIDAR!!!" Noctis jolted straight toward Genboku.

" It seems you forgot my other spell" laughed the massive man, "Garotan!!!" Genboku stuck his hand straight at Vince as the spell was recited. Noctis jumped over the duo and grabbed Vince in the nick of time. "Garotan!!!" the massive man yelled again and Noctis was struck in the back with the bone shattering attack.

Noctis looked up with a deep dark fire in his eye. 'I need to protect Vince, I need to get him at his own game, I need a ranged attack...' Noctis thought. Vince looked in the eyes of this demon, this momodo, this friend he had gotten to know and care for, 'I need to get them back, I can no longer burden Nox...' Vince and Noctis looked up at their enemies who had deep grins on their face "We need to fight FIRE WITH FIRE!!" the red writing of the black book started growing overwhelmingly bright. Vince and Noctis got on their feet, Vince opened the book and willed the third spell "Darfizu" and a massive ball of black flame launched from each hand of the red eyed momodo.

Instinctively the massive man yelled out the spell "Gencir" as he cowered behind the more powerful momodo. Genboku's spell unleashed a fury of field attacks that were crushed under the intensity of the fire. "Garon repeat the spell but use more power," yelled the momodo. Garon looked down at the spell book and with all the emphasis possible yelled "GENCIR!!!" and to no avail as his opponent was completely obliterated by the black flame, and the book almost instantly burned. Garon looked at the damage done by his opponents and saw the intent in their eyes and sprinted away as fast as his legs could carry him.

Vince looked over at Noctis, "Nice new spell you have there." and passed out. Noctis caught him before he fell to the ground and murmured, "nice little spell we have" as he carried his battle worn partner in the direction they were headed.
