Axel ( zomg great theory!)

    Ok so Im thinking that Axel is Reno's nobody! (yes the red haired guy from final fantasy 7 )
    Ya see both the characters have the same english and jap voice actors lol

    # In the Japanese version, Axel was voiced by popular seiyuu Keiji Fujiwara, whose last involvement with Square Enix was to voice Reno of Final Fantasy VII titles Advent Children, Last Order and Crisis Core and provide the voice of Maes Hughes of Fullmetal Alchemist. Due to the similarities to Axel had with Reno, the English dub followed with Axel voiced by Quinton Flynn, who also voiced Reno in Advent Children and Crisis Core, as well as voice Issaru and Bickson of Final Fantasy X.
    # Tetsuya Nomura commented on the connection between Axel and Reno, stating that he wanted to experiment by placing a familiar character in a new environment and role. Ironically, both characters are voiced by the same actors in Japanese and English. It is also theorized that Axel is, in fact, Reno's Nobody, but, as 'Reno' cannot be obtained from rearranging 'Axel' and removing the X, this is unlikely.

    Im thinking the others of org.13 only knew their names because they had the ansem reports or something. But axel ( formed from reno) had nothing of his true name to remind him, so when xemnas found him xemnas gave him the name axel

    Nice theory:) but what part would Reno play in the KH series and where would his heartless be?

    Not sure exactly what you mean by part, but if you mean role then reno would play reno like any other character from finalfantasy
    And i don`t know where his heartless would be.

    I like that idea, definitely interesting. It would be nice to have Reno in the series somewhere.

    seems good, but i think that they would make a brand new character for axel's original, because final fantasy characters are sort of minor. and i dont play final fantasy, so this could actually happen because i dont know him well.

    That is a nice theory. But I am alittle bit weary of it. Many times voice actors do multiple parts. Frank Welker voiced a majority of the Transformers in the '86 movie. That doesn't mean all the characters are the same.

    If any of you have played Tales of Symphonia, Jade Empire, or some more I can't think of. You probably know the famous Cam Clark.

    ToS, he was playing Kratos
    Jade Empire, was the guy in the blue clothes, who used the dual swords. (forget the name...)

    one problem i think nomura said that axel was not reno's nobody. he said he based axel off of reno and named him after reno's favorite drink ale.

    nice theory.... they kinda do look i like in some but my sister says they don't look alike..... i guess shes blind

    They kinda look the same, and my brother thought Axel was Reno's nobody because of the same voice and personality based off of FFVII Advent Children.

    Interesting theory, but think about this. Kingdom Hearts features Final Fantasy characters, but none of them have played an OVERLY integral role to the plot line, other than being sora's buddies and having random cameos. Also, if Axel was Reno's nobody than essentially that would be the equivalent of killing off Reno, which Nomura wouldn't do since it would cause clashes with FF and Kingdom Hearts. Probably Axel was just based off Reno's character due to his rising level of popularity. Nice thoughts though, I never would have come up with a theory like this.

    I also forgot to mention this: Nomura wanted to see what it would be like to have a similar character in a different world and role. (Refering to Axel and Reno)
