I'm really getting turned off by the gameplay videos of Re:Coded. It looks exactly like the original and I'm fed up of Square's lazy attitude towards their franchises and buying other companies instead, thinking economically rather than actual quality. I have seen the same games from them for such a long time its unreal. The constant sequels and remakes are really frustrating the hell out of me. I am not getting Re:Coded because this is freaking getting irritating. I shall await for KH3D to see if they really have changed the formula.

What's your opinion on Re:Coded? I can be persuaded. I'd like to hear your view.

To be honest, I haven't played the game. But I've seen the commercial and...
Someone else should've done young Sora's voice. He sounded older than KH2 Sora.

And as Sorabrawl stated, the gameplay looks the same but with worst graphics.

But I'm a little interested in the story (haven't played KH: CoM or KH2). I might go and buy it.

Personally I dislike Re:coded. Coded to me was a pointless game to begin with, it's just stuff that could've been added on to the end of Kingdom Hearts 2 (the contents of the letter and that stuff). The only thing I really enjoyed about Re:coded is the secret ending, because it has me pumped for Kingdom Hearts 3D.

This has basically been my stance on the KH series since I first heard they were making Coded, Days, and BBS. I thought even back then that they'd end up milking the series for all it's worth and we'd end up with sub par games just for the sake of making a quick buck. The practical side of me can't really fault them for this- if I owned the company, I'd probably end up doing the same thing, but I wish these newer games looked a bit more interesting. I haven't felt moved to play any of them- can't really even call myself a fan anymore.

Though to be fair, it's possible I'd enjoy the games more than I think I would if I just played them, but I don't really want to spend the money on them.

I have been debating back and forth about whether to buy this game or not, I was going to pre-order it but didn't have the funds at the time to do so. Honestly I would prefer to rent this game than actually commit to owning it. I too have seen the gameplay videos on various websites and it seems interesting, not nearly as impressive as the gameplay I've seen in BBS videos, but the graphics turn me off soooo badly, I was willing to be lenient since its an Nintendo DS game but I've seen tons more DS games with better graphics than Coded so I know Square Enix could have done much better in terms of graphics. I honestly think I'm going to skip over this game and just watch any secret ending videos on Youtube because thats seriously the only reason I want this game is for the cutscenes and not to the actual gameplay.

I feel the same way, it doesn't seem like much of a Kingdom Hearts game (more of a filler to feed the fans a small bit of information that they could just shove in one of the next games)

I might be a penny pincher but even I know that it's totally not worth the $30. I'll just find the cutscenes on youtube and stick with that (Jesus, with all of this product placement and now a filler; this is starting to become more of a show than a game for me >.>)
