People dont always do that. There are plenty of times when someone saw one and didn't get scared.

Anyways, I'm sticking by my opinion that UFOs dont exist.

Very well. That is an opinion. Just don't go around swaying people until you can prove that UFOs don't exist.

You can't prove that they don't...

You can't prove that they do either...

So that post makes no sense. This is ALL opinion information.

If you know that then why even say this? Anyway, Aliens are the most believable for me, because it would make sense that life besides earth would exist somewhere.

Aye. It would be weird if the guys at Square Enix got it right. Lolz. It would be weirder is Shinigami and Hollows existed. Wow.

Yeah, but we don't live in that reality!

Anyway, I don't believe in aliens and UFOs. I think it is BS about Area 51 and stuff like that. All I think it is BS because it is trying to bring in attractions and tourist. I wish the find an alien, but I don't see one. You think with all the technology we have, we would be lucky! I guess those Martians out smart us!

Mars is just a planet, sorry, no Martians there!

Never proved. Maybe they are hiding? Actually that could be proven as the planet can no longer sustain life. Odd question that. Maybe they live in giant life support dooms where base ball is banned. Lolz.

Lols. That was good and I totally agree. I really badly wanna do an EVP in my house. Anyone know were I can get a white noise sound recorder for cheap?

That stuff is stupid. Just go look in places that are rumored to be haunted, and don't be fooled by idiots on the travel channel who think white noise can detect ghosts.

And its impossible for there not to be life on other planets. Out of the millions of billions of planets out there, how could ours be the only one to sustain life? I'm not even saying that we'll have stereotypical aliens that are hyper-advanced. Made a race of aliens that don't even have as much technology as us.

Not that I disagree, but there are still only a finite number of planets in existent; No matter how large a number, it's a finite number. Thus if the probability of forming and sustaining life were low enough (which it seems it is), one could argue that there may not be life on other planets.

As for 'life' perhaps there is none on other planets. We have very strict classifications of life. Who says a rock isn't alive? Well, a bunch of scientists in labcoats decided a rock didn't fit the 7 requirements for something to be classified as living...it doesn't mean that there is not 'intelligent matter' out there that would disagree with our definition. Heck, even on Mars, there could be something 'alive' that we wouldn't define as so.

EDIT: Just FYI, the definition is as follows:

    1) Homeostasis
    2) Organization
    3) Metabolism
    4) Growth
    5) Adaptation
    6) Response to Stimuli
    7) Reproduction

I think that somewhere, there has to be a planet with an organism that meets those qualifications.

Except for maybe organization. How does that work?! Is an amoeba very organized?

An amoeba has basically the same components as 1 of our cells. There are certainly differences that I couldn't explain easily, but Im sure Mike or EbAl can post are more solid answer.

Yep. Organization basically means 'made of cells.'

You might think this is kind of a dumb definition (We're defining life to mean "Our kind of life"). I certainly do.

The question then branches into two very large questions:

Is there life as we've defined it (ie. like ours)?
Is there a universal definition of life, which we also satisfy? (If there were a 'proper' definition of life, we couldn't contradict it, since we're presumed to be living).

A universal definition of life would be simple. As long as it can change or grow by its own accord and will eventually stop doing this or 'die' its alive. Like a plant. The day it dies, it will stop growing.

Very true. And I have to agree that we may be one of a kind. A mile or so off and this planet wouldn't be able to support life. There are several deals that go in to such a wonderful world like ours. One is that there must be a gas giant in the system. Obvious. Two a world in the perfect position in between the two and must be large enough to create an atmosphere. Finally it must have tectonic plating in order to keep that atmosphere. Remember that it must be in the middle of the giant and the sun and be large enough to put out a strong gravity field. Mars is dead because it doesn't have tectonic plating. The atmosphere there dried up and the planet is now a wasteland. Indeed, the odds of the "Perfect" life giving planet are slim to none. Feel lucky?

^ I didn't know about all those details. Thats really interesting. But you must admit that in ALL the other galaxies in the solar system there is a good chance that at least 1 other planet got so lucky right?

    That's true.
I mean, think of the chances. Earth is in the PERFECT position to sustain massive life. Its not impossible, but the chances are beyond astronomical
