"Oh, no! Then I'd feel bad, 'cause it's over something so small!" Kaia dissuaded, waving her free hand as if it that would magically push his munny pouch back to his side. "No need to pay for it, I earn enough money from my that a cup of coffee isn't anything to worry about! It was just an honest little mistake."

Even through this little mishap, Kaia's trademark optimism showed in her voice, with a purehearted smile escorting that attitude along.

"Okay then." Duelo smiled as he placed the pouch back in its original spot. He then grabbed the next cup the server put out, this time knowing it was his. "Well then, I must get going. I have much traveling to do." He started to walk off. He stopped himself momentarily, thinking of one final thing to say to the stranger. "Umm... Be careful. With the influx of people arriving on this world there is naturally a risk of disaster striking here. I would hate for misfortune to fall upon this world as well." With that said, Duelo walked towards the massive gate that signified the entrance to the First District, and the exit of this world.

He walked up to his gummi ship. It was smaller than most gummi ships, only able to hold Duelo and a few supplies. He quickly checked the ship to make sure everything was in working order. "Hmm... The warp gummi looks to be fine. That'll make getting home much quicker." His eyes then fell upon a strange device, something not seen in gummi ships. "And this thing is still here, that's good. Without this thing my magic wouldn't be able to support the ship." After inspecting everything, Duelo sat down on the seat and fired up the engines.

Melody looked curious "What friend? Someone we know?" she asked as she and Kiba sat down at the table.

Raven smiled "Yes I'm sure you remember him somewhat." she put a pan of food in front of the two and sat down on a chair across from them.

"So its a he?" Melody said, dragging a fork through her food.

Raven smirked "What is this 20 Questions?"

Melody laughed a little "Im just curious. At least tell me why any friend of ours would understand whats going on? Is he like all knowing or something?"

Melody's question was sarcastic and Raven did laugh a little "Sometimes I wonder."

The rest of the meal was pretty much in silence, all three of them all lost in their own thoughts. As usual, Raven didnt bother eating but tonight she seemed to have something more on her mind than usual. She informed Melody and Kiba that she had a quick errand to run that night and probably wouldnt be back until later. She left the house without another word. After they were finished eating, Melody decided to be curtious and did the dishes. She was just finishing befre she finally spoke again, to Kiba. The two of them were in Raven's house alone "What do you think she has planned for tomorrow?" Melody asked him "She seems pretty confident about something. Maybe we are finally going to get started figuring this out... or bringing them back."

in the city of dawn, a girl was in an old hotel that she managed to convince the owner to let her stay at for free if she worked while she stayed there. Looking out the window, she tried to clear her head. It was horrible watching them die... she couldnt get it out of her head. the girl felt tears forming in her eyes and wiped them away, refusing to cry. She lay down on the bed in her cheap hotel room, thinking that someday soon she would find that black skinned shadow woman and kill her for what she did.

Kiba simply nodded and twiddled his fingers. He was anxious about what was happening or finding out what happened to his family and the world they once lived in. He watched his reflection on the shiny wooden table and saw himself alone, afraid, unknowing. He couldn't live in a world by himself if something happened to Melody. It made him worried.
"I don't know what she's up to but I hope we will be happy once again"

Kaia giggled, simply just waving the stranger off with "Oh, nothing bad's going to happen here! All the badness is gone!"

But she didn't believe that. The woman waited until he was gone before visibly shuddering, remembering the atrocities that the darkness had committed. In an act of self-reassurance, Kaia told herself, "No, no, that can't be possible. Those kids sealed it away or something. . . twice. I'm sure there's nothing to be afraid of." Her resolve wavered momentarily, but she boldly declared, "Tonight is a night of fun! Not fear! Nothing's going to stop me from having a good time tonight!"

Elsewhere, Rai finished putting the final touches on a note, leaving it on the small kitchen table in Kaia's apartment. He grabbed a bag that sat nearby, his jade-tipped fork and magic shield poking out of it loosely as he mumbled, "No turning back now. I'm going to do this no matter what."

Melody looked sad as she turned around and saw Kiba staring down at the table. He looked worse than ever. She put away the last dish and then wound up the slightly damp dish towel. She flicked it at Kiba it snapped against his arm hard enough to sting a little but not really to hurt him, she was just playing around. Inside, she felt almost as hopeless as him but one of them needed to think positively. Once long ago he had done that for her... now she could at least try to be that for him. She laughed "Kiba if you keep frowning like that your face will get stuck like that forever. Do you think Siah and your mom will want to see you frowning WHEN we find a way to bring them back?" she teased.

Wandering through the Dawn City's streets was a lone woman. Long dull white hair cascaded out the bottom of her hat but the brim was pulled forward to shroud her facial features in the already dimming light across the city. She wore an odd black coat but it was opened up and hanging uneavenly around her. She looked small under her black top and shorts, like she had shrunk out of them but didnt seem to notice or care. She was definitely odd looking and the people who walked past her in the streets made sure to steer clear of her. There was some sort of ominous vibe about her that set even the most oblivious child on edge in her presesnse. The woman smiled to herself slightly This city is just as pretty as it's always been. Wonder if Amelia, Raven, and Tamra still live here. Are they still pretty too? there was a lot of hate and resentment behind her thoughts. Emily was so happy here. I hate this world and I hate them. Dusk had actually considered allowing Dawn to devour this world before attacking her, if she was in fact comming here next but knew that would be a bad idea. The more hearts she takes the stronger she gets. Dusk reached up and tipped her hat forward again before taking a turn toward the central part of the city. She was here on an errand, she was looking for someone and she was not going to leave until she got the answers she needed.

"A boy with what?" a green haired local woman.

"A tattoo over his eye." Raven repeated.

"Oh... um I'm not sure I've seen anyone like that living around here but this is a pretty big world even though it is called a City, Raven, you know that. Its possible he just doesnt live in this part of the city or maybe he is a hermit and doesnt get out much." the girl suggested fixing some flowers in her shop.

Raven was standing in the doorway. She had been asking around for a while now... how could it be that no one had heard of this kid before. She was beginning to think that for once Voltair could be wrong. She sighed raising her hand up to her head like she either had a headache or was very confused. "Yes you are right. I'll just have to keep looking or something." Raven sighed.

"Maybe you could try looking in the city's community archives. Its possible your friend moved or something. If he did there would be some record of it there or maybe an address of where he lives now." the girl suggested.

Raven nodded, "I will have to try that. Sorry for keeping you, Tamra. Thanks for your help." she said, turning away from the doorway. It was a bit strange for her, to see her old friends aging when she was not. Tamra was almost 32 now.

"No problem Ray!" Tamra called after her. "Dont hesitate to come over just to visit sometime."

Raven waved over her shoulder in response but she was already half way across the street. A visit to the City Council Building didnt sound very fun and she wanted to get it over with so that she would have some lead to follow on for tomorrow.

Kingdom Hearts OST, T1-40: Precious Stars in the Sky (World Map) - YouTube

Talon was in the skies, watching the empty wilderness of space. It was emptier than it looked like in Traverse Town with stars gleaming throughout the whole sky. He noticed that there were many asteroids floating in the sky, which encircled a specific area like a whirlpool. Little did he know, the asteroids were encircling what used to be a world.
    "That's odd" he said.
After many hours of hovering, he suddenly noticed an armada of heartless in the distance heading towards a world of great light, glittering from far away.
"Hmm, better check it out. That world might need my help"

Kingdom Hearts Destiny 2 - Enchanted Dominion (by Bak.R) - YouTube

Kiba smiled at Melody, who was trying to be playful with him. He got up to his feet and immediately hugged her.
"I know you'll always be by my side. Thanks Mel..."
Suddenly an ear piercing scream was heard from outside, echoing the empty streets of the night. Kiba held on to Melody for a few seconds, wanting to ignore what was happening around him but he had a responsibility and now it was time to do what Calder did all those years ago. Fight for the light. A bright light shone from Kiba's hand as he summoned the keyblade. He quietly took steps towards the door and peeked his head out. All Kiba could hear was the stream flowing by. He stepped outside into the darkness. He softly spoke the word, "Light" and the keyblade shone a dim light. He always could never master that spell. From time to time, it would go out and then come back on. He suddenly saw a dozen yellow eyes under him, making his heart throb. As they stood up, Kiba slashed them with one swipe. They were rather weak. As Kiba looked up however, a beast suddenly tackled him to the ground. It looked similar to the one from Sora's stories from Beast's Castle chronicled by Jiminy Cricket. The beast began to claw out at Kiba and tried to stab him with its sharp nails. Fortunately, the beast began to tremble and was pushed to the side. Kiba looked wide eyed, as he watched the creature be thrown aside so easily. He turned to the left, where a boy standing at 5'1 carried a shortsword. With his hands, light and darkness formed and created a blast from within its energy. It struck the beast on its chest, causing it to fall down to the stream. Kiba rolled over to his stomach and watched as the heart that was taken by the heartless flew up to the sky.
"You haven't had much training, have you? That's a weapon you're carrying, isn't it? It looks quite odd. Almost looks like a kid's toy"
Kiba stood back up, feeling ashamed of his own abilities. The boy who was much smaller than him was able to defeat the heartless easily while Kiba was only able to be pounced on. Kiba walked up to him, confused as to why this was happening. How could this kid be so powerful and control both darkness and light?
"So uh, what's your name?" Kiba asked.
The boy rolled back his shoulders. "My name is Talon" he responded.

Duelo had gotten into the City of Dawn much sooner than Talon, due to his warp gummi. It was still daytime when he arrived on the world. He stepped into the building he called home. The entry room was a gigantic mess. "Probably shouldn't leave things like this out like this. Wouldn't be good if she or anybody else were to investigate here." Duelo cast haste on himself, allowing him to quickly clean up the area, including putting away some books in secret spots. "What should be my next course of action?" He muttered to himself as he got some food. "Since I failed last time, the last remnants of darkness have been able to gain strength, and as such some worlds have been destroyed. Not only have they been able to gather strength, but some darkness actually managed to escape back into this realm. I needed all of the darkness to return in one swift motion, so to prevent bad things like this from happening. I suppose my next attempt with have to ensure all the darkness returns."

Melody stood in the doorway. She looked pretty scared about the attack that just happened but was relieved that that boy had stepped in and helped Kiba. "Kiba, are you ok?" she asked Kiba, walking out and taking his hand she looked to Kiba. "Thank you for your help, Talon." she said politely "We are both a little rusty we havent had much training in a few years." she explained "Those heartless would have given us a little trouble if you hadnt shown up." she nodded her head gratefully. "Wait... if you dont know what a keyblade is how did you kill that heartless? Few weapons besides Keyblades can do that." Actually... I didnt know anyone besides Raven and Voltair could kill heartless without keyblades... she thought to herself.

The woman stood in a tall cylinder shaped room that had a spiral staircase leading all the way to the ceiling. All the walls around the staircase were lined with bookshelves and the ceiling was made of glass. You could see that there was another room where that glass was a part of the floor. That was the top floor, a room full of computers for research purposes. That was the room that Dusk had come for. It took her no time at all to reach the top of the staircase, seeing as she just used dark magic instead of walking. But when she found that the door was closed and locked she became angry. She smashed the glass door with her fist, stepping over the broken shards to get where she wanted to. Her hand was openly wounded but she didnt seem to mind it at all. As her blood dripped to the floor, it turned to black steam as it hit the ground and disappeared. She stepped up to a monitor at the far end of the technology filled room, onto a lighted plate. "I need to see the day I injured the heartless." she commanded it. This machine would help you to relive moments from your memory and see things that you might have missed before. She needed to see it again, to know how she had managed to wound Dawn. It might be the only clue she had on how to kill her.

"Oh you must be looking for that kid who lives down the road." an old man was saying. "He's the only person I know who might have a tattoo over his eye." he explained.
A young girl with red hair, who was with the old man nodded "Yes grandpa I think you're right." she looked to Raven "He doesnt live very far from here. The good looking boy with blue hair?"
    Raven shrugged "I suppose so."
The girl smiled "He's not very social, believe me. We barely see him around here to be honest he's never home."
The old man gave his grandaughter an odd look "How would you know that, Maleynda?"
The girl blushed "I'm part of this part of the city's activities director. I was just trying to visit to be friendly."
"Since when were you that?" the grandfather asked, looking confused. "I didnt even know we did activities in this area."
"Well we do!" the young lady said defensively. She sighed and turned her atention back to Raven "Anyway, if you're trying to visit him for social reasons or something he lives just at the end of this street in house 1347A. But he doesnt really seem interested in being social. Dont be disappointed if he isnt home or doesnt act nice to you."
Raven kind of laughed but ignored the comment "Thank you for your help. I will give it a try." she said before starting off down the street, glad to have run into the two people on her way to city hall. She had heard the girl talking to her grandpa about a boy with a tattoo over his eye. Raven thought it was a little weird that even his apparent neighbors didnt seem to know the kids name.

Talon shrugged with a blank look on his face, confused. "I don't know. I never knew that only keyblades could kill heartless" He looked at his blade and stared at its dull surface. Nothing seemed special about it. It wasn't gleaming, it wasn't anything special. Maybe it was the powers inside him?
Melody nodded "Huh... Ive never seen anyone be able to do that without a keyblade. Where are you from anyway?"
Talon sat back down on a nearby bench. He would usually be flirting with a girl this cute but he noticed she had a thing with the weakling lying down on the ground. He simply chuckled to himself. Too bad, he thought. He then finally answered her question. "I'm from Traverse Town, trained under Sorai, my foster father"
"He's a master of light and sword weilding"
Talon added, wanting to give a brief explanation of what his foster father did.
"Sorai?" she repeated "Hmm... I've never heard of him but maybe if he is a light master he taught you to use light in a way we didnt think possible before. It is an interesting power you have anyway..." she answered
"But I digress. Sorry we are being rude. My name is Melody and this is my friend Kiba. Its nice to meet you."
Talon stood up and kissed her hand. "It's nice to meet you too"
Kiba watched from the ground with a snarl. This guy's attitude and the fact that he was flirting with her was starting to grind his bones.
He still couldn't get up to his feet and as he tried to reach for Talon, his feet began to wobble.
    "That's my girlfriend..." he murmured.
Talon didn't really care about what the weakling thought. This girl, Melody, was beautiful enough to fight for.
Melody blushed at Talon's charming introduction but turned her complete attention to Kiba at the sound of his voice. "Oh goodness Kiba are you alright?" she said, she knelt down and helped him stand "We should get you inside."
"Ravens house is like a veil of light energy. Just being there will help you feel better from the heartless's attack." she explained it to both Talon and Kiba.
Kiba was bothered by the fact that she was distracted while he was lying on the floor, barely able to move.
    She was distracted by Talon.
What made it worse that he detected a slight tinge of red as that idiot kissed her underneath over the dim light from inside the house.
Talon walked up to him and grabbed his shoulder. "OK, let's go Princess. Everything will be better soon"
    Kiba growled, "Stop agitating me"
Melody followed the two... 'this kid is definitely definitely different. I wonnder what his story is.' she thought to herself as she opened the door and walked inside, closing it behind herself, Kiba and Talon. She took Kiba's hand "Im surprised how out of practice against heartless we are but then they didnt seem like normal heartless either." she commented as she led the two boys to the living room
She sat down next to Kiba on the couch. "I'm sure Raven wont mind that we let a stranger in the house once we explain what happened. Kiba how are you feeling?"
Kiba was deciding whether or not to tell her how annoyed he was with Melody for blushing and not paying attention to him but kept his mouth shut.
He remained silent, forgetting that she asked the question.
Melody looked confused by Kiba's attitude and also a bit disappointed but decided to blame it on his injuries. "I'll go make us all some tea." she said, trying to brighten the mood a little bit "That should make you feel a little better. Then Talon can explain how he got here from Traverse Town." she added, standing up.
Talon shuffled in his seat, watching Melody move around. He liked the way she swayed her hair and her eyes...wow...
Then he noticed she said her name and snapped out of his trance. "Oh yeah, definitely. I can a fly a ship, you know? Kiba probably can't do that..."
"-actually I can" Kiba snapped. He's had it with this boy.
Melody nodded "It's true. Kiba taught himself when we were young." she said cheerfully, not really seeming to notice the tension between the two "he had to in order to save me and our friends. It was very brave." she said proudly "What about you? How did you learn?"
Talon was quite impressed to hear this. "I learnt how to from my master. He gave me his ship so I can travel wherever I want now"
"So you're going to leave, you think?" Kiba asked, not wanting anyone to upset his relationship with Melody. They have been together since they were 10.
Talon shook his head. "No, I'm not. For now, I want to protect Melody. She's well worth saving."
Kiba stood up from the couch, grinding his teeth and trembling. "Look buddy. You can't just storm around and try to take Melody away from me. She loves me and I love her."
Melody just now seemed to understand Kiba's attitude. She looked surprised and didnt know what to say.
Talon grinned. "Perhaps she doesn't think the same anymore. I'm the one who saved you. You're not very grateful"
Kiba didn't know how to respond. He was right. He did save him but what he wondered was if he simply saved him to win over Melody. Kiba sat back down, not wanting to falsely accuse.

After an awkward silence, Melody smiled a little "Of course I still feel the same about you Kiba." she said
"Either way I would hate for me to come between what could be a friendship." she pointed out "Please, lets drop this subject." she stood up "Well, I'm going to make us some tea. I'm sure Raven will be home soon. Maybe she'll know why you can kill heartless without a keyblade. It will be interesting to see what kind of light energy she can read from you. You two play nicely. I'll be back" she teased before walking out of the room
Talon and Kiba remained silent for a few minutes. However, Kiba could not stay silent for too long. He cleared his throat and then looked at Talon, who was staring at a picture above him. "So, why did you save me? You hate me"
Talon shook his head. "I don't hate you at all. In fact, I'm starting to like you. You're starting to show me that you have balls" They both laughed at the absurd expression. Talon smiled and then spoke, "Also I'm not the kind of person who leaves someone to die. That's the darkness who does that. I hate it."
Kiba was puzzled, as he remembered a black blast which shot through Talon's hands. "Then why do you use it?"
Talon laid further back into the couch and watched his hand enfester with black energy. "I can't help it. I've had it since I was born. I don't know why and neither does my master"

Raven wasnt sure what to do as she approached the house that the locals had directed her to. She wasnt sure if Tattoo Face was a friend or an enemy. To politely knock on the door of an enemy could lead to trouble or the escape of a target but it didnt seem right to just barge in and start snoopig around or attacking some kid either. As she neared the door she decided it best to play the casual card. For all she knew, this wasnt even the house she was looking for and besides it wasnt really in her nature to start making enemies of people whose story she didnt know. The kid could have very well been in the wrong place at the wrong time and Voltair's injury could have been a result of an idiots mistake. Gosh I think too much these days... she thought to herself irritably, tapping the door with her knuckles. Already she could tell someone was in the house.

    >Voltair takes offense to that comment.<

"Who could that be?" Duelo muttered to himself as somebody knocked on his door. He never expected anybody to knock on his door, but at the same time he didn't think about preparing for any sort of fight. He stood up from where he was sitting, overlooking the main room before walking towards the door. "Well everything's put away, so I shouldn't have to be concerned about that." Duelo opened the door with a smile. "Hello." He spoke before seeing who it was that was at the door. Upon seeing it was Raven, his smile almost became a worried frown. "Crap." He thought as he maintained his smile. "Out of all the people to come around, it just had to be her, didn't it? Better play my cards right. I'd rather nothing happens while she's around."

Raven was glad to see that whoever it was was home... and did in fact have a tattoo over his eye. Now she just hoped it was the right one because if he wasnt, she didnt know where else to look. "Hello." she said politely, not seeming to notice that he looked a bit worried. "My name is Raven. I'm sorry for the visit at this late of an hour but I'm doing a favor for a friend of mine. You wouldnt mind if I asked you a few questions, right?"
There was a strange power surrounding the boy and, judging by the look on his face, Raven could tell he wasnt too happy to see her and likely already knew who she was. With that evedence, she was now convinced that she had found the right person.

Melody returned to the room carrying a tray with a few cups. "Raven has some weird enchantment on her fireplace." she sounded a little annoyed and it looked like the ends of her hair on the right side were singed some. "I hope you two dont mind coolaid instead." she added, setting the tray down on the table and then focusing her attention on the damaged ends of her hair, trying to remember a spell Siah taught her a long time ago to heal burns. She heard Talon's comment then about him hating the darkness. That surprised her. Once Kiba asked his question and Talon answered it, Mel spoke up. "Why do you hate it?" she asked.

"While I do not know what this favor is you are doing for your friend, it would be rude for me to flat out ignore you. Please, come in and have a seat." Duelo walked away from the door so Raven could enter. "Would you like anything to drink? I finished making some sweet tea earlier today. It should be nice and cold by now." As he walked to get something to drink, he thought over his options. "Normally this could be entirely coincidental that she appeared here. But unfortunately the odds of that happening are slim to none. Considering my objective, any unwanted meeting between the two of us would be the cause of one searching for the other. Although I don't know how she would know about me. I've never once revealed myself or my actions to anybody. And to top it off, I don't know which spells will have an effect on her, so I'm limited to spells that will strengthen myself."

Talon was thirsty so he was glad that she gave him a drink. He gulped the fruit juice down and then looked over at Melody, beautiful Melody with her brown bountiful hair. However, her question wasn't go blissful. He sat back further and placed his arms over his chest.
"Many kids have been left by themselves because of the darkness. It killed their parents and their friends. They were alone. They have been taking worlds, killing everyone who gets in their way and now, I want to stop them. I hate the darkness because it is always the cause. It morphs people into something monstrous. This is what my master has told me. The darkness must be killed, even me" he told her. "When the last piece of the dark is cleared, I will kill myself so my own darkness will not transpire anything else"
Kiba glared at Talon. He sounded mad.
"There will always be darkness, no matter how much you try. My sister and brother in law tried that but it will always come back. Now they're dead."
    Talon stood up.
"That's exactly why you should join me. We need to kill the darkness so they don't take anyone who wants a glorious life they deserve" he explained. Kiba sat down, angry but looking down.
"One of our friends, Voltair is from the darkness and he would sacrifice his life for the greater good. In some ways, he already has" he told Talon.
Talon muttered, in response, "Shut up. I am a part of darkness too but that darkness, no matter how good they are, will always create a terrible evil. It must be extinguished, including my own soul"

"Thank you." Raven said, entering the house and closing the door behind her. "Oh, dont trouble yourself. No thank you." she added, partly because she still wasnt sure if she wanted to trust him enough to accept a drink but more because she never did like tea that much since childhood when a mean boy in school messed with hers as a prank.
polite enough kid, letting a complete stranger into his house late at night like this... but that could be some trick. I wish Voltair had more information about this kid. Or at least had time to tell me about the time they met. But I suppose I could just ask one of them.
"I wont keep you long. The friend of mine, the one that I'm here about. He's a man who is from here by the name, Voltair. I think he knows you, does the name sound familiar?" she said, really doing a good job at keeping a pleasant and polite attitude.

Melody was shy to speak up after the strange turn of conversation "I am from the darkness too." she said to Talon. "Formally, my name was Assylum. For a very long time, I thought the same way you did when I came to the light and met Kiba and his family. But I've come to remember, it was never the darkness itself that created the horrors I witnessed while trapped in the shadows. It was the ones with dark intent who were hiding inside it."
She sighed, having not told anyone but Kiba this since the day she was found. "Darkness is only a strong force with no will. Bad people could use light the same, it was as conveniant."

"Voltair huh?" Duelo calmly spoke. "Well, she is snooping around. Although I figure she could tell if I'm lying to her. So might as well talk about when I met him." Duelo thought up an adequate way to answer her question. "Yes, as I recall I have met somebody named Voltair before. He's about 6 feet tall, messy brown hair, blue eyes, always wearing a jacket." He described Voltair perfectly as he talked. "I met him once, about ten years ago. I don't quite remember what I was doing, only that we met on this world during sunset. We talked for a bit, then afterwards he left to resume doing whatever it was he was doing. I haven't seen him since. And I don't think he would remember me all that much. Such an unimportant event like that shouldn't take up space in his memory. Although I am rather curious as to where he disappeared to. And meeting you is a surprise. Since he vanished, I figured he lived on a different world and was a stranger to everybody here. But since you know him, am I safe to assume you know where he is now?"

Raven nodded "Well yes, actually." she considered not saying this because it was a little personal but then decided against it. The truth thrown out so bluntly would catch a liar off guard. It was likely, if he was who she thought he was, that she would see some reaction in his expression before he lied for an answer to what she was about to say, if he decided to. "He spends a lot of time around the dark relm these days, you know, protecting the balance and stuff like that. I cant say I understand all the details but oh well." she shrugged.

Talon stood up and walked towards Melody. "Can I talk to you in private then?"
Melody looked confused "Anything you have to say to me you can say to Kiba."
Kiba watched him with a snarl on his face. Something didn't seem right about this boy. Something else has caused him to hate the darkness.
Talon took her by the shoulders and whispered in her ear, "We have both been involved with the darkness"
Melody clenched her hands around the edge of the couch by her sides for a breif second then nodded. She stood up and walked to Kiba "I'll be back in a second." she said, kissed his cheek and then walked to the front door.
They both stood outside and Talon rolled his arms around his stomach, keeping himself warm. The wind was blisteringly cold. He looked over at Melody, however and smiled because the wind made her hair flow with it serenely. It almost reminded him of a girl he once knew back in Traverse Town but was freaked out after seeing his powers. A tear ran down his eye but then he quickly wiped it away while
    she didn't notice.
Melody sighed, closing the door behind them "What did you want to say?"

In the shadows around them Melody had a hard time seeing his face. For a brief moment, she realised it might be a bad idea to follow a complete stranger outside alone at night like this but she reasoned that Kiba was just inside and would hear if anything went wrong.
Talon smiled as he looked at her tensed facial expressions. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you"
Melody smiled a little, 'man I work on not being so obvious' she thought to herself

Talon then frowned, now remembering why they both went out. He held her shoulder and sighed. "We are both in trouble and I thought I'd keep this away from your boyfriend. My master told me that the darkness can cause us to change when powerful enough. You're probably no exception. Kiba cannot protect you as well as I can"
Melody smiled a little, 'man I work on not being so obvious' she thought to herself. "Oh I'm not. I'm stronger than I look anyways." she said with a wink.
"So why did you need to speak to me?"
Talon grinned. "It's because I thought it would be better for Kiba not to know. He's weak enough as it is. We don't want to make him worse." He then leaned towards her. "Oh and also, I wanted some time alone with you. You are very pretty"
Melody blushed "I bet you say that to all of your girlfriends." she said, smiling and feeling a little shy. "Tell me, why do you think it is that you can manipulate darkness, even though you dont like it?"
Talon simply smirked at her reaction. Her blushing made him do so. "You are the only one I've said to since-"
"You are the only one I've said thatt to since-"
It was by that time he was interrupted by a question.
He snapped out of his silence and then spoke again. "I can't help my position. It's been in my blood ever since I was born. It's in my nature to use both light and darkness. People are freaked out by my abilities"
Melody thought for a moment "Maybe you got the ability from wherever you were born. Its a huge universe out there. Who knows maybe there is a world out there where using darkness and light together is normal?" she suggested
    Talon shrugged. "Perhaps"
He reached for the door handle and looked up at Melody. "I will train Kiba so he can protect you but remember; is he the best person to be around with when he's light and you're dark?" He walked inside and waved to Kiba. The keyblader wasn't interested. "What did you tell her then?"
Melody was caught off guard by Talon's question and didnt follow him inside.
Sure its not like i've never seen dark and light beings together... melody thought to herself. But eventually they always get pulled apart... do Kiba and I really want a life like that?[/]
She shook her head "Dont be silly... Kiba and I chose our own destiny." she said outloud before walking inside and closing the door behind her leaving the dark streets empty again.
