Halloween: A holiday we now celebrate by dressing up as horrifying creatures to scare others and, for the younger or more crazy, mooch candy from your neighbors. But that's not what it was once.
Hundreds of years ago in the dark ages, a pilgrim civilization was just beginning to grow after having come to the United States from Europe by ship. They claimed land on the shore and named it Halloween Town after the man who lead the group to the States, James Hallow.


The first little while in the new world, the civilization thought that they could prosper and so they built a town but very soon, strange things began to happen. Children began to go missing. People would vanish, never to return or seen again. Fires and other tragedies would happen all over the town with no cause and then the plagues started. Terrible supernatural diseases spread through the people killing them in most gruesome ways.


The people of the town were very discouraged at the series of unfortunate events and worried for the prosperity of their home and families. In desperation, they turned to the wisest citizen of the town, the founder of the town: James Hallow.


James Hallow immediately set to work on finding out what was behind the disasters, with the help of a good friend named Eve Conwell. Together, the two discovered that the source of the evil was the evil spirits that haunted the black woods near the civilization. With this knowledge, and having seen it with their own eyes. Eve and James returned to Halloween Town to warn the people.


To stop the spirits from ever returning to the village, James instructed all of the towns people to dress up as terrifying as they could and wander the streets as the creatures they had made up to try to scare away the evil spirits. It was called the "Trick and Treat" method. To Trick the spirits into leaving and the people of Halloween Town getting the Treat of a prosperous life. The plan worked and that very night, James Hallow married Eve Conwell.


To ensure that the spirits never returned, the people of Halloween Town turned that very day into an annual holiday to celebrate the day that the Halloween people saved their town from evil and the aniversery of the day that their founder and man who saved their town was married. The holiday was then named All Hallows Eve. Every year, the people would dress up in their scary costumes again and scare away evil for another year.


Seventeen years passed after that day and James and Eve Hallow had two twin children. Who were born on All Hallows Eve, the aniversery of their parents and the day that All Hallows Eve was created. On the day of the Hallow Children's sixteenth Birthday, the devil discovered the Hallows scheme and decided to punish them. On that night, he transformed all of the townspeople into the creatures that they had made up. Goblins, Ghouls, Trolls, Vampires, Werwolves, and all sorts of other terrifying creatures ran amok that night destroying the town, which had by that time become a very large and prosperous city after having become famous for the All Hallows Eve Holiday. Then, the devil came to the creators of the holiday to punish them directly for their tricks against his followers. One by one, each member of the family died by unnatural and tragic causes through the night. That same night, he called back their spirits from the afterlife before they could cross over and trapped them in their home (a large house in the very center of Halloween Town that was known as the Hallowed Mansion). Where he cursed their unholy spirits to haunt the mansion for eternity. The rest of Halloween Town was cursed eternally as well. Forever from that moment, Halloween Town was isolated from the real world living as the monsters they invented. But once a year, on a night once known as All Hallows Eve, Halloween Town would once again appear to the real world and the citizens would be overcome by an evil instinct to wreak havoc and spread the curse throughout the world for one night. To make a mockery of All Hallows Eve, he renamed the day Halloween and it became a day for children's play.


To this day, most people can feel the evil tension in the air released from Halloween Town. Most murders happen on that night as well as kidnaps and unexplained tragedies.


This curse has been in place for hundreds of years and James and his family have been able to do nothing but watch from their mansion as Halloween Town falls to evil every year and begins to spread across the world slowly. This year, Halloween is big enough that it might be able to conquer the entire world once it becomes controlled by evil on Halloween Night, which is only three days away. The veil between Halloween Town and the real world is already beginning to thin and when it vanishes again, opening to the real world, want to or not, every citizen of the town will overcome the entire world with evil.


The Hallow family: James, Eve, and their twin son and daughter, know that they have to somehow find a way to break the curse before it's too late. After doing some research, the family discovered that the curse did have a loophole. Somewhere in the mansion, the devil hid an artifact that bonded the families spirits to the house and that was the heart of the curse. If they could find that and take it out of the mansion before it was too late, the curse would be broken. The problem is, the family is forced to relive their deaths by night, can not see, smell, feel, or hear whatever the object is even if it was right in front of them, and could not leave the mansion even if they found it anyway.


Meanwhile in the real world (year 2013), a pair of twin siblings, a brother and a sister, have been forced to run away from home because of an abusive alcoholic father. Their plans to reach a neighboring city safely went terribly wrong when they got lost in a storm in the night. The two of them somehow stumbled across the thinning vale between Halloween and the real world. The two found themselves in a world full of monsters that lived like normal people... but the air about them was ominous and not only that but some of the citizens had already turned evil and turned their wrath against the children. To save their lives they took refuge in the nearest place they could find: The Hallowed Mansion, where none of the citizens of Halloween Town can enter.


This is where our story begins. Could these two human kids be the answer to Halloween Town's prayers? Or will a Holiday of children's play become a Nightmare this year?

Name: Amelia Hallow

Age: 16 (before death)

Race: Ghost

Bio: Amelia was born the day before her parent's first anneversery. She and her twin brother grew up to be very close friends around town and both were well known because of their parents history. Her father was the founder of the town and therefore it's leader and her family was the second ritchest family in Halloween Town though her parents raised her to be charitable and always help others in need. There was a school in Halloween town and Amelia and her brother both attended it but they had home tutors as well.
The night after her sixteenth birthday, her father threw a very big party for her mother for their 17th anneversery. Amelias mother had a brand new dress made for her just for the event. For that reason, their family was going to skip the festivities of All Hallows Eve for the night. It was goig to be a wonderful night, the guests were supposed to arrive after the All Hallows Eve traditions. But the guests never arrived and outside the window of her room, Amelia saw chaos outside. It looked like everyone had gone mad! Amelias parents forbade her and her brother from going outside until things calmed menwhile her father was trying to make sense of the insanity. Around 9:00am that evening Amelia found her beloved brother dead in her home (the location and cause is up to whoever plays the brother). Held in his dead hand she found a note that her brother had written on. It said "Every hour, a heart will stop beating until Midnight. Until the day that a beating heart enters the house of Hallow again, the family will sleep in the madness for eternity."
Terrified, Amelia ran from the scene and told her father what she had seen. While mourning the death of the boy, the remaining members of the family tried to stay alive through the night but in spite of their best efforts, Eve Conwell Hallow was the next to die while the clock in the main room of the house chimed 10 times loudly through the halls.
Amelia knew that she would be the next to die so she worked faster to try to reverse the curse. She knew that once she was dead, she could do nothing to help her father . She tried everything she could and eventually her searching lead her away from her father's side into the ballroom of her home, all decorated for the party that would never happen. There was someone already there standing in the very center of the room, waiting for her. He was a tall slender man with black hair and eyes and very pale skin.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" Amelia asked the stranger.
The boy smiled holding a white gloved hand to her, "My name is Damien, Miss Hallow." he said with a bow. "And I am here for your soul."
That was when Amelia saw the grand clock on the wall. It was about as tall as Amelia herself and mounted high above the windows lining the back of the ballroom that oversaw the balcany outside. The clock read five minutes to 11:00 pm: every hour a heart will stop beating... Amelia reminded herself in her mind. Frightened she turned back to the door to leave only to find that the door was not there anymore. Just wall.
Turning back toward the deamon man she spoke "Leave my home now, give my brother and moter back, and never come back." she demanded.
The man smiled and took a few steps toward the young lady "My apologes, Miss Hallow, but I do not have the power to stop what is happening to your family. You see, the curse has already been set. All I can do now is make your last moments easier."
Amelia wanted to back away from his advance but found herself unable.
"I shall explain everything to you, but this is your party, it would be rude for me not to ask you to dance." he said casually as he took her hand and lead her onto the floor. All around her Amelia could see figures coming into view but she recognised none of their faces. All of them wore black or white elegant clothing and had pale faces. They were dancing around the room and speaking in hushed voices. Amelia couldn't help but think that they were all watching and speaking about her as she followed Damien to the floor and he put his hand around her waist and held hers with the other.
Keeping her dignity, Amelia placed her free hand on his shoulder and the two began dancing along with all the other dark spirits to music that she could barely hear.
"Your death is inevitable tonight, Miss Hallow. It is inescapable. But it is also only the beginning."
"What do you mean it is only the beginning? How can there be more after we are all dead?" Amelia asked him.
"I had hoped you would ask me that. Its why I came for your soul. Did you know that a spirit can be imprisoned in this world even after death? All that needs to be done is their soul must be attatched to some object that was most important to them in their lives. Then, they can be stuck for eternity. Unless the object is destroyed, which would allow them to move on to the underworld. The soul could also be set free somehow which would allow them the afterlife they truly deserve which could be either paradise or once again the underworld. There is one other option as well..."
"What is that?" Amelia asked.
"The object could be clamed by someone living which would make them the owner of the spirit as well making them a servant of sorts. Or the living owner could, somehow reverse the curse. This seldom happens of course."
"Why are you telling me all this?" Amelia asked as the two of them spun gracefully back towards the balcany. The window/doors opened on their own as the two neared them.
"Because soon, you will be a spirit trapped here and this news could be the only thing that will eventually save you." Damien released Amelia then and walked out the door onto the balcany.
Amelia looked back to the clock through the barely visable dance on the floor. Only one minute until 11:00.
But curiosity made her follow Damien outside to the balcany. "Why?" she asked him, his back was turned to her he was looking out at the chaos still raging outside in the city. Every building was on fire now. She could hear howls, screams, growls, and a mass of other animal like sounds among the distruction.
"Because your people live on the one place on earth that evil has no boundries. And your parents have messed with forces they didn't understand. My master has sent us to take it back and punish you all for your actions. Believe me though, Miss Hallow, I will make your punishment as easy as possible."
Amelia had tears in her eyes, remembering seeing the face of her dead brother and now seeing the terrible view of her friends, family, and neighbors benieth her. I'm standing in hell...
Then, Damien turned to face her again. He walked toward her. Amelia made no move to stop him. "Every night, we will see each other again Miss Hallow. Until a beating heart once again enters the Hallow house. But until then-" she heard the clock begin to chime inside and Amelia felt something heavy grasped in her hand and realized she was holding a knife. "-it seems its time."
She stared down at the knife in fear as her hand raised it without her permission. "Stop..." she muttered feeling like she was dreaming.
After that, she remembers nothing. She awoke in her house and at first thought it had all been a nightmare. She ran to her brother's room to see that he was there and awake. She threw her arms around him and explaied her nightmare but was dismayed when he said he had one that was very similar. Their parents were there then and the four talked about what they had all witnessed and decided to test it. When they all tried to leave the house, they found that they could not and though everyone outside seemed to be normal, none of them could enter the mansion either.
Every night since then at 10:00 she finds herself in the ballroom and once again finds herself speaking with Damien and the night always ends with her dying by her own hand by the use of a knife though the sinario isnt always the same.
By day and for the rest of the night she is free to wander around the castle and watch Halloween Town outside through the windows. Every night of All Hallows Eve, a night that was once the highlight of every year, she watches every citizen except for her and her family become evil creatures that escape into the world and come back with innocent people who are either killed or turned into monsters themselves, never to leave Halloween Town again. Every day she finds herself hoping that someday the curse will be broken.

Personality: Amelia is kind, beautiful, wise, witty, peaceful, and strong. She can be a bit bossy sometimes but she has a strong sense of right and wrong.

Name: Katsumi Yoshida

Bio: Katsumi grew up afraid of a lot of things. Her father was always angry and yelling especially at her brother. She barely remembers her mother. At a very young age she learned that if she didn't answer when her father started screaming at her, he would normally just yell until he couldn't anymore and then leave her alone. She called her technique the silent game and soon she started playing it with everyone instead of just to her dad. She hasn't spoken a word in 7 years not even to her brother. In school a lot of people assume that she simply doesn't have an abilty for speech but in reality the silent game is more a security blanket for her. As long as she is silent, people leave her alone and don't ask her questions and she likes it that way.

Personality: Katsumi is shy and keeps to herself. She resents both of her parents and trusts no one.
