Xavier or Magneto

Charles Xavier

I find his powers really fascinating, and really terrifying. Yeah, Magneto can stick a metal pipe through your head or something, but Xavier can take you apart from the inside and make you like it. Xavier has the potential to be really badass, and as I'm mostly unfamiliar with the comics and only vaguely remember the original X-Men cartoon (so my opinion is based on random Wikipedia articles I've read when bored and the X-Men movies, for the most part), I'm unsure if that has really been explored. And I think telepathy would be a very terrible gift sometimes (surely he couldn't always control his abilities, and I would assume that he has some low-level awareness of all of the thoughts around him whether he likes it or not, which is surely tedious, if not insanity-inducing at times, especially if he's catching thoughts about himself) and I like the idea of seeing how having it would shape a person. I also think it's really cool to see a character with a disability involved in ass-kicking, though apparently in the comics the disability comes and goes.

Honestly, I like both characters, though I prefer Charles the teensiest bit more. It's odd to sympathize with a 'villain', but Magneto's back story makes it easy to see where he's coming from, even if I don't agree with how he goes about his business for the most part. He's really more of an anti hero, in my opinion, and those types of morally gray characters are some of my favorites.

I think his power is also really cool as well. I don't think the movies did justice to all the shit he can do by manipulating electromagnetic fields, even though what the movies do show him do is still pretty badass.
