The only issue I had with Atlantica in the first game was that it was situated in that point of the game where leveling up became a real pain. Same reason why I never liked the Monstro world.

Play Kingdom Hearts and watch your opinion change quickly. :)

I actually skipped Monstro completely. Made my first runthrough of the game incredibly difficult what without having Double Jump.

I love The Little Mermaid, but Atlantica was just terrible. Everything looked the same, navigating was a disaster. Trying to fight those jellyfish-type heartless AND trying to swim efficiently so you could get to them was a NIGHTMARE. Thank goodness for the ability to lock on.

The Little Mermaid is my favorite Disney movie of allll time. But, in both KH 1 and 2 it is just awful. I dread going to that world when I play. lmao. In KH1 it felt like the heartless were neverending. D: Plus, you had to always find that annoying dolphin and I always have problems with that. >.<
And, In KH2 all you do in Atlantica is sing with a musical. To me its like, come on... where are the heartless!?

edit: theres far to much in one, and just not enough in the other.
i feel like i contradicted myself pretty bad there. :p

I actually am one of the few people who enjoyed Atlantica in KH I. Maybe it's because the battle style is a lot like Peter Pan, with the flying and all, but I thought that it was easy to swim around and fight monsters. Atlantica is actually the place where I usually stop to level myself up since I know all of the areas well, and I know how to navigate my way to the heartless that give off a decent amount of EXP. The storyline in that world is great in the first game and Ursula is actually challenging to beat, so I truly do enjoy that world. KH II, however, is a different story all together.

Lol. I thought that Monstro was over once Riku took off with Pinocchio. I didn't realize that Monstro had an "upstairs", if you will, and I just left without completing the world. It took me years before realizing that I only finished half of that one.

I wonder about a BBS Atlantica,it could explain a few things, like how does King Triton knows what a keyblade is,and it would be fun to see a dolphin Terra, lmao

I disliked the characters forms. They changed the battle abilities completely and this is why I disliked the level.

At least in the Peter Pan world you maintained normal aerial techs. you've learned up until that point.

Welcome to the "We Missed Monstro" club... blah!

Anyone joining the club "I fought against that purple boss alongside with Riku"? Then you're a badass.

But yeah, I never liked Atlantica, the poster above me just said the main reason why, the fighting sucked. Navigating around the world was horrible and blah blah. I just didn't like it.

Yes, totally agree. It is for sure the worst world. The swimming, the story, and the boring objectives are all horrible.

I liked it! lol it was fun to me and pretty cool, i liked it in KH2 too! (lol pun?) even the singing cuz it was cool hearing all the songs from one of my favorite Disney movies!

Atlantica is my least favorite. The navigation was extremely difficult because of the swimming and it was confusing in terms of pathways. I did like the music, though.

Does anyone else feel like the mobs of heartless were more frequent in Atlantica than anywhere else? I don't think that's actually the case, but it just felt really irritating...

I have to disagree completley with you! I mean, this and Halloween Town were the two worlds that I was looking forward to MOST! so I have to say it's amazing! Plus this world has unique controls, such as the rising and diving, it gives you more to do with your hands whilst playing the level, and it made me feel more in control, I think that the fact you have to 'defeat' Ursula twice is a pain, but it makes the game last, so I guess I can't really complain. So no, I think that this world makes the game.
