SOTW 3 [Voting]

5: I really like your smudging for this sig and the effects around the hand nicely done. It's a really good sig!
6: I love the background it really suits the render and nice placement of the girl. Excellent job!
2: the electric effect is cool with her, but there is an awkward ring of light near her head which looks kind of odd but good job!

 

I think you have to....

 

4. I don't really have much to complain about with this one, I love it. I really like how it looks by his fist it had really nice flow.

5. A bit plain but its still good I think the render sticks out a little too much though.

7. I like the colors, but the lines on the right throw it off a bit, I also don't really like the text.

 

6. This will receive first place from me. Nice hues of purples but I do find the dots weird.

7. I gave this Second place. I love how the person used the Chinese handwriting to be mixed into the style of the background. I just have a problem on that left side. The person has it faded too much.

2. This will receive my third place vote. That little white ring is strange with the burning effect I am assuming around Lightning and then that big, strange white thing that is behind the ring.

As for why I did not vote for the others:

8. Snow and Lightning are not becoming the main focus. It did not attract me at all. Out of balance. I would rather see some color instead of black and white that is going out of balance.

4. That big lighting that Snow is holding just bothers me to the max. The background is ok but what Snow is holding did not do anything and just mess everything up to me. Too much sharpness.

As for all of the other pictures, they are good but I just was not able to pick one and the first three that I picked stood out to me.

 

6 is my favourite. The colour scheme fits Lightning well; Purples always look lovely with pink. I actually like the little dots that are present too because they remind me of sprinkles. Lightning really stands out in the sig, but it's not in a bad way. In general, I thought that this was well done.

4 is my second favourite. The colours look nice with Snow, I'm just not a big fan of the blue-lightning thing on his hand. Everything else looks great, it's just that one thing that strikes me odd.

3 is third. It's easy on the eyes and the colours of the stock are actually present throughout the signature which is nice. I also like the Chinese/Japanese (?) symbol in the corner. Good job.

 

3. IMO, this is the most creative one among the other works. I really like the effects and the colors on this, and the only thing that I find disturbing is that the layer stops before it hits the right bottom corner

4. This is simple and nice, but I think the lightning on Snow's hand is way too bright - it makes it harder to figure out what's going on in the picture.

7. I really liked the colors on the background, it's quite creative. But it looks odd that something sticks out of Lightning's head. u.u

This was fun, I think I'm gonna participate again if the theme is going to be interesting! n.n

 

1st. 7: Love the lighting on this. It's easy on the eyes and everything is noticeable. Nice use of colours and it flows nicely.
2nd. 4: The background is neat and the render sticks nicely to it. the only let down is the real bright effect on Snows hand.
3rd. 5: Much like 4 but without the extremely bright effect and render sticking nicely to the background.
