Hello, Kelranox here. Though, if that doesn't suffice you may refer to me by my real name, that being Zach. I'm twenty-three years old, am going on my last semester of college, and currently live at home due to an eviction brought on by fiscally irresponsible roommates. Though, things may break even for me considering I may be given a house soon, so that's a thing. Oh, did I mention I lack a driver's license? Because that should probably be mentioned. Not due to having failed so many times, but laziness. I get paid to attend college, so...I'm not entirely poor and unproductive.

Anyway, onto the true purpose of this thread. Don't take this thread as evidence that I'm here for good. I'm more-so using this as an experiment of sorts, in that I'm basically going to list out my criteria for what I believe makes a good forum and given the results from the comments, I'll decide if they're met. Don't take this as condescending in any way, I'd just rather not risk another forum by going through the same measures as I've taken in the past. If I don't mesh with the majority, then I don't see the point in staying. So, what am I looking for?

    1. Members that treat newcomers as equally as veterans - I can't count how many times I've joined a forum and have been either ignored or antagonized because I was new. Don't get me wrong, I understand hazing to some degree but that should be done in jest. It's easy to attack someone while you're sitting behind a computer monitor.

    2. Posts that actually add to the momentum of the thread - Reading is fun, yeah? It's always nice when someone actually reads an -entire- thread so as to give a proper response . It sustains productivity for the thread and nothing is derailed. However, every now and then you'll have someone that simply posts a succinct response that deviates from the initial purpose of the topic. You aren't being clever or witty, instead you're labeling yourself as unintelligent and just plain ignorant.

    3. Random images don't belong outside of junk sub-forums - Let's say I post a topic on, oh I don't know...the Wii U. John sees the thread and instead of actually reading the thread and developing an articulated response, he spends five seconds on Google image search and finds a meme that hasn't been relevant in years. Seriously, crawl back to 4chan if you want to be childish. You could say this falls under the previous category, but I've seen it so much that it unfortunately deserves it's own.

    4. Critique art, and do so without being an arsehole - If I post examples of my work and request critiques of said work (and I plan on doing so) actually critique them. Don't just post half-arsed responses assessing that you like this or you don't like that. This doesn't help the artist improve and I must admit, it's quite infuriating. Obviously I'm not demanding that you like every single piece that someone posts, if you happen to dislike something, tell them what it is you don't like about it.

That's about all I have for criteria. Though, I had an alternative reason for posting this this thread and that has to do with (finally) Kingdom Hearts. I'm in the process of typing up a review for the first game (and potentially other games in the series) and upon doing so, I'm revisiting it. This isn't going to be a totally positive or totally negative review, rather it will just be analytical. Take Spoony's reviews for example, he covers the games he is reviewing in depth and I feel that is far superior to playing a game for ten minutes only to give it an arbitrary score that means absolutely nothing. The review will also be in video format expanding over several videos, but I plan on posting the text version here first. Why? I assume there are loads of KH enthusiasts on the site (derp) and as such, they may be able to answer the many questions I have.

You may be saying that's a bit cheap for a reviewer to do. Well, I disagree. I haven't played every single game in the series but at this rate, I almost have to in order to review the first game. I'm not even off of Destiny Islands and I have pages full of questions that are possibly answered in later installments. That may be understandable to some people, but I know a few Youtubers will attack me for missing out on this or that and assume I'm antagonizing the entire fanbase for questioning X or Y.

I hope all of that makes sense and I appreciate any and all feedback for when my review finally surfaces. I also thank you for actually reading all of this. Also, you may be wondering: "Well, Kelranox..you said you don't have a license due to laziness, yet you want us to -not- be lazy by reading every single word in a thread, that seems like hypocrisy." Yeah, well nyuhhhhhh.

Welcome to the forum! I really hope you'll find what you're looking for here. If you ever have any questions, you're always free to contact me or any of the other staff members.

I should hope that wouldn't happen here. I think as a whole this is a pretty friendly forum.

I actually disagree a little. I think the most honest review would be based on just the first game, rather than pulling from later info you receive. Though, this is also biased me talking, who loved the simplicity, I suppose you could call it, of the first game and was less impressed with the way the sequels took the story. Though I do see where you're coming from, and can't say I blame you if you fear rabid fans.

    Well anyhow, welcome again.

Thanks. I was more-so referring to continuity, such as Destiny Islands. In the first game we only see that section of the island but in later games we see other people and houses, etc. Unless of course that's a totally different planet, but signs point to it being a part of Destiny Islands.

You seem to be veteran enough, but just a reminder since every forums does have it's separate rules, read the rules and you should have no problem here being treated differently. We don't treat people by if they're new or vets but more as who actually is mature enough to obey the rules and those who don't. Again though, I see no worries with you.

For a former introduction from myself, my username is Destiny, feel free to call me Des, Dest, or you can call me by my first name, Nicole. I will be graduating from high school soon, so...

Whoa, how are you getting paid to go to college, the school wants me paying full not giving me any financial need. Already jealous of you.

This is all good, at least you know what you're looking for, I'll try to answer some of your concerns, but of course, I'm more of a bias person for the site, so my answers may not help you, though I will answer them honestly.

This as I touched upon already and so did Kitty, does not happen, here we're all more of your family forums. There's different ways of being respected though...
-Following all the rules and being mature so not to annoy people with them
-Being involved with everybody on the community, in return you will be respected and involved.

This unfortunately, much to my dismay, does not happen as often. It used to a while back when we had people of analytical thinking kind of getting others involved, so perhaps you may be able to motivate everybody to actually take into account of what's going on in the thread. If you do this, I feel I may forever be in your debt.

I don't think I've ever seen a meme posted on this site... actually I lied, I did a few times from one member who is banned, there was another who does, but I think he's slowly stopping plus usually with those annoying images he does at least adds some content discussion.

But I know where you're getting at, memes though sometimes comedic if I'm actually searching them out to read the different ones, are the most annoying thing in the world.

It all depends on the art I guess. If it's anything to do with graphics, you will receive critique, anything else under art work not as much, however I have seen several drawing threads that get a lot of attention. This summer as an overlooked of Traditional Showcase, that area of the forums I'm hoping to get built back up to its former glory, so I do hope to see your artwork so I can critique on it, you'd make my life easier.

As a site manager, I'd be glad to help answer some of those questions so you don't get bashed out by the KH Fan Base on YouTube which can be a rough crowd at times. Also I don't usually post reports as I more so read over them do some edits and I do more of the behind the scenes work, however I do love when people of the site get noticed so if you post a review, I'd be glad to write an article upon it and put it up on the main site for people to check out.

And reviewing the first game is understandable and what should be done, after all Kingdom Hearts is a series, and the first game is what would act as judgement for gamers: Will they continue onto the next game or stop right at that game. I have to say the best part of the game is the ending for that's where I got pulled in, but I do know of people who were not happy towards the end.

Referring to your questions, if you're not past Destiny Islands, some of those questions I know will get answer later on within the game. Unless you want your review to also act as a promotional(which the way you've described it, does not seem to be that) then ask those questions and get people who haven't played the game hook by wanting to know the same answers.

Next with the beginning of the other games and the worlds, I would not even mention them. They are different worlds, however there is possibility of a connection, it will be revealed though within the second game towards the end, so you'll need to keep playing to learn it. Now however if you're referring to certain cutscenes, that's a different story. Also that small world of Destiny Islands, will be shown to be bigger at a non interactive part of the game when Sora is shown on another island of this island chain in a cutscene, but that comes towards the end of your time on Destiny Islands, thought I'd throw that in.

Also, I'd imagine the two of them post in this thread eventually, I would refer you to two of our analytical main site reporters: Angel and x3pic/StarKiller. Those two look into every detail no matter how small. x3pic without the whole story and a lot of details about Birth by Sleep being released was able to come up with a theory based on the details of the previous games and from those details, his theory actually ended up being correct. I believe there was only one small part that didn't line up precisely, it was just a little different. Anyways I'd get with those two, they would be great friends to make in general on the forums plus will be able to help you also with any questions.

And I cannot wait to give my own personal feedback when it is released. And don't worry I know what you mean about laziness. I classify different "things" in different categories of laziness and some things you just won't do, others you will do.

So long as newcomers carry themselves in a manner befitting of veteran-status respect. Even so, if I've any criticism for anyone, I try to make it as constructive as I can. As in real life, I see respect on forums as something that must be earned. As of now, I'm set on a path of respecting you, in particular for being so straightforward about your intentions and reasons for being here.

On a less business-related note, welcome to the forums. May your experiment be met with both cooperation and success.

    Congrats, Nicole.

Veteran's benefits. Though, there are two stipulations.

    1. I have to attend colleges in Alabama

    2. It only lasts for five years

I only create sigs, avatars, etc. as I haven't drawn in years. Though, I was never really that good, considering I couldn't ever scale anything properly.

Oh, I've beaten both the first and the second game a few times. I won't detail too many of the questions asked in my review, so I'll just leave it at the fact that during my review playthrough, I'm not off Destiny Islands and have loads of questions regarding the population, jobs, school(s), etc. You'd actually write an article on it? That would be helpful, well...dependent upon the quality of the review, anyway.

    Thanks, will do.

Thanks. I'm sure some forums would misconstrue this introductory post as being far too particular and expecting special treatment.

Too much to reply about the other parts of your introduction...
Anyway, welcome to KHPlanet. Hope you enjoy your time here, but it won't take too long, I guess.
Read the rules as other forums have separate rules.

I intended to write in this yesterday, but I must be one of the laziest people on the site right now. I'm slightly sleep deprived at the moment, however, I feel as though I should say hello now.

Emerald at your service, welcome to the site Zach. Your introduction is impressive, a lot better than mine. If you're ever bored you can dig around for it, it frankly embarrasses me whenever I read it. Actually, all of my posts from 2009 are pitiful and I get a kick out of looking them over and editing a thing or two.

I love newer members, there's something about them that's infectious. I'd love to get to know you more and I see no problem with you fitting into here. Most people are fairly laid back, some are more on the crazy side, but we all mesh fairly well with each other. I may or may not be one of the looney members, it's up to you to decide.

Amen to that. Uggh, one of my biggest pet peeves are people who act all high and mighty online, yet can't say jack to your face. It's a sad world, that's all I have to say with respect to that.

I don't mind hypocrites as long as they're honest about being one. It's the ones who hate on others about being hypocrites, yet they are one themselves that bother me. And I believe it's human nature to be lazy, you're doing humanity a favour by following your instincts. (Or atleast, you're doing what feels right.) Stay true to the way you were made, you'll get a liscence when you feel like it.

    I like you.
Stick around and have some fun. Some people are quite interesting on this forum and you may like getting to know them. By the way, I read every word of your intro post; I could comment on everything you said, but again, I'm lazy too at times.
    Bless laziness.

Well then Zach. How unfortunate! I hope things turn out for the best. How exactly do you get around?
Most likely but most questions are already answered in the first game. Plus, if you know that events repeat themselves. You can pretty much predict the story.
Woah? For what reason? Why would you want to influence your review with information from another game? It's okay that you have questions and tons of it; but you have only experienced the beginning scenes of the game. The first game is not really complicated unless you get into other games of the series which will only raise even more questions. You should finish the game for now and dwell on the sequences of events.
Well like you said. Your not off Destiny Islands so you haven't really gotten into a portion of the game yet. Your getting way ahead of yourself.
Ugh. Youtube commenter don't know what the heck; they are talking about.
Indeed so long and even longer to reply.

:D HI HI HI! I'm Brandon, also a Main Site writer. XD I am definitely going to enjoy talking to you... but I will not remember the word, Zach so I'll stick with Kel. How is college anyways?

As for Kingdom Hearts in general, do not worry if you do not have all of the series. I don't have them all either. I don't have KH: Re: Coded and I might not get KH: Dream Drop Distance either. ^_^ And do not worry. Every questions that you have, I too will help answer. -_- And don't worry about Youtube members. I have an account on there and some of them are... ... yea.

And I hope you will not get mad at me for asking you this but why did you not leave Destiny Island?
