Now for those of you into this type of music you have to know Linkin Park and who they are. There music( at least there old music) was stuff of legends. It brought a new look on rap and rock and brought a new age. There new age music is not really me, i like the message but i loved all the yelling too but i head his voice was going out so i cant really be mad! There newest album is pretty good though, they seem to be going back to there roots. What do you think of this group?

Like you said the old stuff was definitely LP at their best, while the new stuff is OK I still think the old stuff was and will always be their best.

    A new age? You kidding?

Linkin Park started two years after Limp Bizkit, which had better and way deeper rap influences than Linkin Park - and Limp Bizkit was inspired by Korn. So Linkin Park is just another band that started during the golden years of their genre, nothing much else. Limp Bizkit took the biggest step that influenced (didn't change) the music world about the mix of rap and metal, but they had their problems during their first years. The rap based influence compared between Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit is like comparing Mobb Deep to Justin Bieber.

I liked their stuff when I was younger, but it didn't last long as their music changed so much over the years. I'd still buy their first album if given the chance. Their music isn't bad, but it isn't good either. Just a "so-so" band with not much exciting and touching songs.

i personally love all their music, not a song i can think of i don't like.

if your really looking for the rap metal you want to look into their older stuff, but their new stuff sounds great, i love the scratching and random beats mixed with singing and rapping to be honest
