    There was plenty of time to do that. in fact i waited an ample amount of days. Everyone in herr could vouch for that because i've told them all at some point. I just did not want to slow down momentum too much because that's one of the problems here. once something loses momentum it dies pretty fast around here. I just figured you'd join at a later date just like in the anime K-ON members joined during the school year. It's no importance to join day one.

    But i waited a good amount of time for people to catch up. it's been 5 days since i made the post about making the club. How much time did you need?

    Well, two of those days since my last post, I was tied up and couldn't really post; I don't typically get posts up over the weekends since I'm almost always traveling or something of the like. My planned post sort of banked on the hope that people would actually pursue to converse with Kayla after she spoke up after the Ken incident. I was trying to figure a way to transition from not having much response to finding the club without lagging in quality and length of post.

    It's a bit hard work through things when no one actually responds to/interacts with your character even when you place them right there in front of theirs.

    At this point I guess it's a lost cause. I was actually planning on giving Kayla a scene where she notices an old drumset or something sitting around in the clubroom, gets all excited and lays down a beat. Maybe I'll give that a few days to settle her into her 'stoic' demeanor for the other characters to get used and then have her surprise everyone with a high-energy jam session.

    Well no offense Wayward, but you just admitted a hit of your own fault. When nobody responds to your character it's a little hard, I can't help but realizing other RP's you're in, you'd be up, and people may be wait for a week (maybe even longer in case like the Morph RP). And Vox is right momentum is lost in RP's when people are stuck waiting around a few days. And shortly there after that's how RP's die, and were then stuck trying to come up with a new RP idea because the other one is just lost after sitting for awhile.

    And based on your idea you're calling a lost cause, may not entirely be a lost cause, you can still have a scene where Kayla finds the old drum set and lays down a beat. In fact I can think of many clever ways how to.

    I wasn't talking about not liking waiting on people to respond; I personally don't mind waiting a week for people to post. I as saying that I threw my character into the mix with things and no one cared to stick around long enough for me to get her seriously involved (which was the list cause I was referring to).

    Honestly, no one anywhere on here has business calling out other people for their posting frequency. We're all kind of guilty of letting RPs lag from time to time.

    Well it's no point to argue it. the past is the past so it's no need in bringing it up. But you still have plenty of time to jump in.it's only evening all you have to do is go upstairs after hearing all the commotion of stuff being moved around. i wouldn't say it's a lost cause still many ways to get into the club. Chances are they wont' finish cleaning it till nite-fall then they'll all go home.

    Im all for giving you a chance to keep up but just be mindful things need to keep a level of progression i don't want to lose momentum in this RP. So we'll take into account your constraints but also be aware that people can't always be asked to wait a week just for one post. especially when were trying to increase activity not prolong it. I'm only used to waiting a week for a post if that person's character is like a character that just posts a post to push the story progression along while everyone else interacts but i'm used to 3-4 posts a wee and that's quite normal. ore more really.

    So of course we're all guilty of lagging in RP's but that doesn't mean we still have to fall back into that old habit. So as long as you can keep up with story progress posts things will be fine.

    Honestly, I've been a one-post per week kind of guy for the most part, especially over the past year or two. I can assure you that I won't veer too far from that.

    Well, if you can't keep up with the level of posts for lead roles i don't think you'll last very long in this RP because i don't intend to slow it down that much per week. One post per week just isnt what i'm aiming to achieve. so feel free to be a side character in the universe but as far as main roles go i'll need much more interaction and activity than that.

    In theory I can post more frequently; my mind has just been busy the past few weeks.

    Can K-ON make due without a drummer for a week or while I clear up some of this brain clutter?

    I had imagined there'd be instruments, albeit older ones, already in the clubroom from the club's 'heyday' as it were.
