It has been reported that actor Sir Christopher Lee has passed away, from heart and respiratory complications:

Much of us here will, likely, readily recognize Lee from his roles as Saruman in the Lord of the Rings film trilogies, and as Count Dooku in the Star Wars franchise. More classic roles to Sir Christopher Lee's credits included various characters in Hammer Horror films, most notably that of Dracula.

Over the course of his career he also provided the voice acting for a number of animated projects. Kingdom Hearts fans have heard his voice in the role of DiZ/Ansem the Wise in Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.

The world has truly lost one of its greats; a powerful voice both in live action and in animation.

He was definitely a great actor, who stole the scene in every movie he was in. 93 is a great run, but he will be missed.

Wow, first Leonard Nimoy, now, Sir Christopher Lee. I think; they both had respiratory issues.

Funnily enough, I don't think I really liked him all that much when I first saw him as Count Dooku. But as I got older and learned about all the incredibly awesome stuff he's done, I became a fan.

I mean, he's done covert operations in WWII, received knighthood, made a metal album, etc. The man's awesome.

He sure will. Loved him in just about every role he did. He pretty much passed away still working and doing what he loved . . . . just incredible. 93 yrs young.
