I can't seem to find any 1v1 battles, as opposed to full Roleplays.

If anyone is up for a simple battle, though, I am all for it.
No story, just an arena, two characters, and judges.

I have like, 15 characters, but I guess I will just use one that I have for a simple melee battle.

Anyone who wants to judge, post here. We will preferably have three judges.

My opponent can pick the arena.

Oh, by the way, I am new to this forum, but I am not an idiot. Don't baby me.

    -Appearance-

    Height: 6'3
    Weight: 235 lbs

    Physical Appearance:

Sae’s hair is dirty blonde, and medium length. His bangs are dangling foward, on the sides of his face. He is Caucasian and has hazel eyes. His build is basic... it is that of someone with a horrible diet, but he still performs with a sense of what seems like super-strength. Sae isn’t obese, but compared to most fighters, his appearance seems insignificant and canonic. He wears tight black slacks, a black t-shirt, and a long, white overcoat. The overcoat has a hood, and it is usually worn up on his head. He wears a pair of iron boots that clank as he walks. A smirk is usually on his face.

    ~Armaments/Armor~

Sepelio: Sae carries one weapon only. It is a flail, called Sepelio. When he, and his good friend Novo stumbled upon the prophecy that changed their lives, he found the flail, lying on a table in a case, as if it hadn’t been touched in a decade. He took it, feeling it was the right weapon for the job ahead of him. The hilt is made of black onyx, and the chains are several links of silver, about 18 inches long. At the top, a mace that is almost the size of a human head, covered in spikes, is also made of black onyx.

    ~Personality~

Sae is extremely sarcastic, and enjoys humor. To him, life is nothing without humor. He fights as if it is a game, as if he is always guaranteed victory. He is extremely polite, and despite what his ultimate goal is, he is a very happy person. His lazy work ethic makes it hard for him to pursue his destiny, but a couple of fights along the way won’t affect him too severely. Sae strives to become one of the most powerful beings in existence. Not for the power, but for the recognition.

All he wanted to do was show he could succeed.

    -Skills-

Melee Combat: Surprisingly, Sae is extremely strong and genetically enhanced after the seemingly tragic accident that occurred in his life. His senses are heightened, and he is extremely proficient at hand to hand, and weapon combat. Sae holds trickery and deception much higher than skill.

DNA Manipulation/ Cellular Structure Manipulation - Looked at as a form of shape shifting, Sae can control and manipulate parts of his body. This varies from regrowing lost limbs to changing his appearance. The only part of this that is useful for battle is mutating and shape shifting. Sae accomplishes this by literally tapping into and controlling his DNA through his chi, a power obtained in a freak accident. This being said, as long as his mind was still intact, he could rebuild himself from most mortal wounds, although very slowly without interruptions.*

    * I will not use this in a melee fight.

    -Biography-

(Not done with this, but I may as well entertain you with a summary)

    Sae was lazy.

Although he was a very charming child, and good around adults, Sae’s parents always commented on how he could never succeed in life if he just coasted by. It didn’t help that he had an extremely successful older brother. Sae, though, didn’t see the point of spending the best years of your life to get ready for the horrible part where you need to work, and not do what you want to do in life. It didn’t make sense, was that what life was all about?

“Attero never was this much trouble”, they would always say.

Attero was six years older than Sae, and strived for excellence in everything he did. Sae could tell though, that on the inside Attero wasn’t truly happy. Although Sae didn’t try to make other people’s lives worse, he did spend time entertaining his classmates. He wasn’t the jerk who kept failing and annoyed everyone, he was the kid who kept his classmates sane. He managed to pass every grade, because no teacher could hate him.

What he really was concerned about was what he was going to do with his life. He could never live the “9-5 job with an attache case” life like so many others did. He wanted to make a difference, without hating himself for it. His laziness didn’t help, though. What was he here for, what was he to do?

Sae continued to pass through school with D minuses through charm, valuing his happiness over his education. His family could never understand this and considered his goals a dream that wasn’t in the realm of reality. It didn’t matter to him. It was his life, and he would enjoy it.

By the time he was a senior, his huge testings were coming up, that decided if colleges would take him or not. With influence from his parents, Sae decided he would go to college, to “try to find something he would enjoy doing”. He knew this was impossible, but they hoped he would go off to school, magically find a boring job he liked, and thank them for turning him around.

Obeying his parents wishes solely because he, too, hoped it would happen, Sae tried to pass all of his major tests. With a little studying, a lot of cheating, and a myriad of luck, he pulled a bunch of C’s and D’s his senior year, and was accepted into a local college in New York. It was mostly one for people who didn’t know what they wanted to do, or just didn’t care.

In his first year of college, he and his roommate became great friends. Novo was his name, and they both shared the same goals out of life. To make a difference, but to enjoy your life...that was all they could want. For the next three years, they went into each class with an “I’ll wing it” attitude, and passed them all, one by one. In their fourth year, they both took an advanced science class, and instantly loved their teacher. He was a funny, peculiar man, called Mr. Norgen.

Mr. Norgen, was very humorous, and yet, very secret about things. He grew a close bound with Novo and Sae, and gave them extra help and personal tutoring so they could pass the last class they needed before they graduated. Sae didn’t exactly look foward to this, though, because he would need to break the news to his parents that he has no true profession or interest once more.

Regardless, Novo and Sae had walked into Mr. Norgen’s room one night, where they had a scheduled private tutoring class with him to pass the next day’s test. They walked in, and did not hear him or see him. The two boys looked around, and saw a door they had never seen before, almost like a hidden compartment. Their devious selves walked right in, looking around, calling for their teacher. They shut the door behind them, and screamed. Novo saw him first. Jumping back aghast, they saw their teacher dead on the floor. Near him was a huge chamber, taller than them, filled with a thick yellow liquid. Novo immediately went to Mr. Norgen to see what had happened, and Sae quickly scanned the room. There was a table, and it had huge schematics and such all over it, but they were ripped to shreds. Many words were still visible, and stuck into his head.

    “Human body”

    “DNA”

    “Existence of Chi”

    “One drop”

Sae quickly looked back over to the huge chamber. He then intently read through the documents in entirety...and was astounded. Mr. Norgen had been working on a formula that allowed the human body to tap into it’s chi and control their DNA. This was something that could make humans extremely powerful in many different ways. It seemed that this was where he always went after the day was over. Their teacher had tried this formula on himself, and was furious at how it didn’t work, ripping up his plans. Then, it took a late affect, and somehow killed Mr. Norgen. His body was seemingly too old to handle that material, which was ironic, because the material would be able to keep younger people looking and feeling that way for however long they wished.

Sae immediately sought to explain this to Novo, who still unaware and confused, backed into a corner. On the side of the wall was a red button. Without realizing, Novo bumped into it as he was searching the room. The door to the chamber of the liquid flew open, and a tidal wave of the thick material came rushing at Sae. Still not sure of what it was, Novo immediately ran to push Sae out of the way, and both boys were swallowed by a tide of yellow liquid.

    One drop...

The liquid hit their bodies, and hardened like a shell. The surplus didn’t keep moving, it clung on to the hardened material that was surrounding their bodies. Very quickly, they found themselves unconscious, being suffocated by the experiment...and everything went black.

A long time later, what could have been hours, even days, they both woke up. All of the liquid was gone, and the boys both felt extremely refreshed, even stronger. The liquid wasn’t to be drank, it was to touch the skin, and be absorbed. This was the fatal mistake of their teacher. The boys both had an extremely large amount of this substance absorbed into their bodies, and were afraid of what would happen when they realize what had occured. Sae went over to the table, and on it, he saw an impressive looking flail. It’s purpose wasn’t clear, but for some reason, he took it. He felt as if he would need it. What was a science teacher doing with a flail? On the hilt, it said, “Sepelio”. Novo walked over to the back of the room, and on a huge parchment, taped to the side of the chamber, there was a short message.

    “It exists”.

Ramayana, although I didn't intend for you to judge IN CHARACTER, I suppose I don't mind. I just implied that you would reach a decision after the battle.

Chocobo, I will hopefully make an opening post tommorow. I have a party to go to, so expect it, at the latest, in 36 hours.

Sae assumed that he was the first person to arrive at the battleground, because he was not ambushed as he entered. That was always a good thing. He had played with a couple of dirty fighters, and a couple who had honor. It went without saying, the dirty fighters weren't as... "fun".

"I have some time to kill, do you think you can make it atleast ten minutes?"

His voice echoed throughout the temple. Sae reached behins his back and grabbed his flail. He approached the eastern wall, and with a quick wind up, he swung his flail at the wall. A huge chunk of it caved in, and rubble began to fall to the ground. Albeit this temple was huge, there were no obstacles to hide behind. Or atleast, there were none in his immediate proximity. There were several walls and paths that could lead to different rooms, but he decided against "exploring" them at this time.

The temple was mostly very dark, but the top had a large hole that let light shine through. This light expanded, leaving a large part of the floor that was lit around about a 15 foot radial. He stood in the center of this light. He wouldn't want his opponent to spend too long looking for him, of course.
