Do you still work the counter now sometimes?

lol yea, it's not really that the customers make me angry, unless they come up to me and are rude or start complaining about how expensive everything is, it's more like the overwhelm me. I'm kinda anti-social and I have an anxiety disorder so I've never really been a people person so to have all these people forced on me and having to interact with them was way too much for my nerves to handle.

nice lol So today for work training we were paired off in small groups and worked either the box office or the cleaning crew. I started off cleaning out the theaters and sweeping up popcorn around the main floor, which was ridiculously easy. But then we switched to box office and I swear I was about to have an anxiety attack the entire time. All the human interaction, coupled with the math I had to do to give them their correct change, and adding in that I have to try and sell them membership cards to our theater, literally FROZE MY BRAIN! I had to have the manager take over several transactions for me because I blanked out so many times. And the thing is, this was a SLOW DAY! It's going to be a million times worse on the weekends during peak hours, which is when I'm next scheduled to work, Friday and Saturday. I'm so terrified of box office I would rather be on cleaning team making sure the bathrooms are tidy if it will get me to avoid any human contact!

alright well go for the goal and don't stop short of the finish line! lol that was my attempt at inspirational words :p

lol so you're positive you'll be walking across the stage then?

well I just came back from orientation today, we didn't do much but introduce ourselves and the head manager went over the basics of working there, which are basicly: be quick, be clean, and always smile lol tomorrow or thursday is when we'll start training for actual stations like box office, concessions, and cleaning procedures. I think my first day will be this weekend since it's the weekend after Memorial Day it'll be kinda slow so that's a good time to start out the new people. I'm pretty excited about it :)

You gotta use your skills to make it good then lol on a side note, I finally got a job!!! My friend came through for me and got me a job at the movie theater :D
