Yeah, I liked Captain America. But we need a return to stories like that. Perhaps a deconstruction (Parody?) of the darker and edgier stuff.

True. I feel as though darker and edgier is kinda overrated now. You can still make a good story out of it. But I miss the days of having a hero be the good guy, not have any doubts, and always able to move forward.

An anti hero is usually somebody who follows their own rules and isn't a villain simply because they end up doing good deeds, even if it is for a selfish reason. And also with regular heroes you can expect them to adhere to a code of no killing whereas anti heroes don't restrain themselves like that. Basically an anti hero is what you would expect the protagonist of a darker and edgier work to be.

Sounds fun. And painful. And kinda like an anti hero at best.

I know. And then there was the part of her character somehow becoming super important, something she claimed was planned and hinted at for a while, even though it came out of nowhere.

In a way. I try to do something and then Destiny would basically no sell whatever I'm trying to do. Which is why to me her character started to appear as a Mary Sue.

Yeah, no doubt. But if I tried to make him much stronger I feel I would've gotten complaints about him being too powerful.

If there's not a balance I'll just make the villain so overpowered that it becomes balanced.

Although that's a downside to RPs. Unless you've got everyone willing to go along with it, you can't really make something super over powered.

You don't have to if you don't want to. I wonder why he wanted to have Malisa in there in the first place when you put out different characters. Sure, I have Matthias in it but I changed him. Different appearance, tweaked some powers, and I'm gonna have him act a bit different as well.

I was thinking back to the last one. I gotta admit how much of that seemed to be poorly written. There were times I swear Destiny was making her character into a Mary Sue and it bugged the hell out of me. Hopefully this time will go much better.

Which part? The part of me misunderstanding what Chris meant when he asked me to take over? I wonder if I pissed him off for thinking that his characters weren't going to be a part of it.

Even though people do that here, I don't think it has ever been something official. People create their own threads and then make a profile for the main character before anybody else.

Really? It is nice to have the main role every once in a while. Nice refresher having things focused on you.

I suppose it's a problem of RPs. Depending on the size, you're more than likely gonna end up a side role unless you manage to grab the main role before everybody else.

True, I'm probably over exaggerating. It's just whenever there was a new part added there would be Hope's characters, Chris' characters, and Destiny's characters listed as those who were already a part. I'd have to basically go "Hey, don't forget about me."

And me saying main character, unfortunately I feel as though Chris always got hold of the main character.

SoN is four-way collaboration? I don't know if it is because I haven't really had control of the main character, but I feel as though I'm left out a bit with the New Dawn series. If not left out, then at least forgotten a lot. Although I suppose some of it would have to do with letting Chris have so much control right off the bat. Although admittedly he is the one who revived it from the very first one that Hope made.

Because nobody else knows.
