I do not care how long it should be but when I see something in there saying that a short story should be around 1,000 words and that it should be around that limit, I feel as though I am compelled to be at that limit, not knowing if that is the minimum requirement or the max. If 1,000 words is the max, it should be put in there so that I will know.
