Okay in that case I recommend fighting her first in her normal form in the divine palace throne room or something, then she turns into a form that looks more like a goddess that destroys the palace but the pieces of the palace stay afloat and you fight her in a heavenly realm while using the castle pieces to get to her.

Depends on what the final boss is.

Now that sounds cool. Like they could take a sword and add some gun stuff to it and turn a regular sword into a gun blade then instead of leveling up from a sword, the character would start leveling up from the gunblade. Each type of weapon and each possible customization has it's own skills and abilities you can get from it by leveling up from it.

Now what about weapons, I know we said that we were going to have a level up system similar to FFII where the characters leveled up based on the weapons they used the most but anything else you wanted to do special with the weapons?

Okay I got how it would work. The villain is a woman so she uses demonic rituals to summon demons and these demons are given the names of summons, Bahamut, Shiva, Ifrit, ect. The heros have to fight them when she summons them and once defeated the demons are purified by the souls of the heros since they are pure. So the summons lend their power in battle because the hero's become human hybrids of the summons as I mentioned already.

Isn't that similar to materia though, I was thinking like some kind of connection between summons and the character. Like each character inherites a summon spirit and during battle they can awaken the spirit and take on a human hybrid form of the summon, where their attacks are replaced by attacks normaly used by the summon.

I want to do something similar to D-Links but different too.

I like that idea of the torture part, it would make the story darker.

Maybe you could have a girl that the hero likes but she lives in an English country accross and ocean from him yet on his journey he meets her and she becomes a party member. This would bring up a rivalry between the girl and the villian since they both like the hero.
