Yeah. I've been posting while at school, usually in the time periods that I have between my classes. It's just a bother to carry the laptop around with me all the time.

And the buttkicker is no one on here. He's a guy on KHI who has pretty much built his characters into total powerhouses over the years. And he just knows how to use them to their maximum. But then, there's quite a few people on that site that are just that good. It's funny to see like ten of the vets there in a single battle, and everyone just starts arguing over stuff like what we just were, because all the characters are pretty much completely of their own design. But yeah, most of them would probably total everyone here.

Well, it's never too early for anyone to start taking hits. A few weeks ago I got my ass canned by a single post. But then, that was with an RPer who could take on the entire RP section here and come out the winner. But yeah, I'll get my post up. Gotta get to my mobile device. All of my posts in this battle so far have been made on an iPod touch. I seem to be posting better with that than my laptop lately.

Well, it's not something you can't get out of, though it could compress rather quickly, considering that space itself has pretty much no way of meeting resistance. The spell itself only lasts for a few seconds. And it's not that it would be an attack that you couldn't get out of, the compression would simply be something your character probably wouldn't be able to get out of on the basis of his powers.

But seeing as there had to be a force causing space to compress, then I guess I'm wrong in that respect, and yeah, some magical force would have been enacting it. In any case, there's more than one way to fight a battle.

But I also stated that it was compressing itself as well, which would mean that it would shrink until it had no where to shrink to.

1. If the spell's range of influence was such (which it is) that hitting the spell equated to hitting the target ti was cast upon, then that argument becomes void.

2. How does air cut through a shot of pure magic?

If you look at my character's profile though, time isn't being slown down. It's just that the plane of the dimension the characters are in is being distorted, compressed onto your character, which means that things would still be happening in real time. And you seem to be forgetting that this is no ordinary bullet, and even so, air doesn't move faster than bullets. If you were to move Ren that fast, then you'd be putting a ton of strain on his body.

Well, my big concern about much of it is time. The shot would have been on you in about a second, which leaves Ren with only a fraction of that time to process and react to what had happened (and earlier to day I turned the game on to space things out). There simply wouldn't have been quite enough time for anything big. Logically (within the boundaries of our battle), Ren would be taking a hit to some degree.

Not particularly. The spell never slowed time, it compressed spacetime to hold your character down. Think of it as the reverse effect of a black hole, albeit at a lesser level of force. While a black hole will suck you in, pulling you from where you are in space, the spell restricts the movements, holding you in place. And as the word compress would indicate, the spell would ultimately have to 'hug' your body in order for it to work at its utmost efficiency (otherwise, you'd be able to move within the area of the spell). Thus, the effect would be right on your skin, a pretty much non=existent gap. Essentially, it's a mild reality warping power.

And even if you did use wind, the magic shot would have been able to make contact all the same, as it would be able to travel faster than the wind could be made to move you.

But you are operating outside of what your character can do. Stated in his profile, he uses his aura aura to control the air around him. I see no backing to support your move. And in any case, the shot would have hit by the time you had broken free of it, seeing as it's moving at over 600 meters per second.

You do realize that you're mostly attacking the outer wall of a building, right?

An RP battle is something that can stand on its own though. The characters can simply in whatever place for no reason in particular. I'm just trying to avoid getting things wrapped up into a continuum, because I'm not sure that people are ready to have things within such a set up. The tournament (and normal battles) is not amongst the characters, but amongst the RPers themselves. That's all I'm saying man.
