??? A new Xbox?

microsoft are making a new games console, xbox 720 is a fan name as 260 x 2 = 720

no details have been released yet.

 

while this is true, im sure we won't get any details until after Natal is released. They are dropping a new Xbox for when that gets released as well. So as far as the xbox goes we won't here anything for a while. Im guessing the we will learn more about the Wii 2 before the new xbox

360 will stay longer than that. They've got that Project Natal gadget with the 360. That will last for years.

 

Project Natal is the thing without remotes, all gameplay will be with a motion sensor. Its an xbox 360 addon which is said to be released in November.

Microsoft are currently domination sony anyway, currently Sony are rock bottom in the console race.

 

which is why Sony is releasing the PS3 slim, to reclaim the market. they've owned everything and then the 360 comes out and they've been playing catch-up ever since.

sales-wise, the Wii is godly compared to the other two but quality wise its between the 360 and PS3.

 

its going to take more than the PS3 slim for sony to catch up with Microsoft. Ps3 slim is to save sony, but won't get far with beating the 360. Project Natal is going to be hard to beat and im pretty sure with the release of Natal we will see a new X-box 360, but thats just my guess. Microsoft is basically taking what Nintendo tried to do with the wii, but they are doing it right. While sony is basically stealing the stupid wiimote from nintendo

 

actually, while the 360 is clearly winning its not by much. the slim clears up the biggest reason people took a 360 over a PS3: price. with the price drop, we're going to see a far closer race then before.

won't argue there, mirco seems to know what its doing with motion software. although you are doubting the wii which has very good motion controls already. micro may be improving the motion control but don't claim nintendo didn't know what it was doing, the wii has excellent motion control.

but from a personal stand point: Natal doesn't seem to be worth it. its trying to bring micro into the motion control genre(which it seems it will be doing quite well) it does seem like a now stale idea. nintendo has been running motion controls successfully for how long and micro/sony are just now revealing motion controls? sony tried(not well, kinda sucks) with SIX-AXIS and everybody is saying Natal is going to revolutionize everything? it just seems like a over-hyped idea for something thats already being done by both of its competitors.(greatly by one, poorly by the other but hey; at least they've tried already!)

Um okay the 360 is winning, everyone knows this. Also we do know this because of the price, duh? Now if you didn't notice, the regular PS3's are also $299, same price as the ps2 slim *oh shit*. So the ps3 slim isn't the only item that got a price drop.

now, as far as it goes with this race. yea its going to be closer, but microsoft is still going to win, i say this because they countered sony's price drop, with their own. yep yep. Also they still have xbox live, still being the most popular source of online gaming. Sony has alot of catching up to do by far, but they are up to a good start.

They had OK motion sensor controls, if they had very good motion sensor controls there would be no reason for them to make a wii motion plus device, but they did, to enhance the ok motion sensor, and upgrade that to a very good motion sensor device.

wii does not have an excellent motion sensor control with out wii motion plus just to get that aside. I own all three consols, and wii failed in the motion sensor area, but it wasn't horrible it just wasn't excellent.

Now Micosoft improving is an understatement. They are taking that it to a whole new level. That Milo demo was amazing, Skynet type shit

they haven't been running anything, or do you not see how many people complain on the lag of that motion sensor, they are just now upgrading it , so i wouldn't say running it, they were just the first one to do it

And um yea Microsoft took it from nintendo, and did everything nintedo should have done with the Wii, but they did it themselves, because personally i thought the wii was going to be like Project Natal, but it wasn't it failed, with that laggy controller :/

out of all three of them Sony is my favorite, but i can't deny Microsoft because of what they are doing, I'm majoring in buisness at the moment, and they are doing everything correctly.

Nintendo, i respect, but they need to step up the games a little bit, thats my only issue with them, because with Wii motion plus they are now back in it

 

and the Red Ring of Death has absolutely nothing to do with it? thats honestly one of the 2 reasons i choose a PS3 over a 360. that and game options. other then the Halo series and L4D, every game i want is on the PS3.

you said laggy motion? are you kidding? i've never had any problem with my wii's motion. i swing to any direction and it responds instantly. motion+ improves an already excellent motion control. if yours is lagging then you wii has a glitch because this never happens to me or any of my friends that have a wii, in fact you're the first i've heard to ever complain about a lagging control. you should get your wii checked out if its lagging. the only thing i've ever had lag on was a Brawl online match.

yes i can. motion control things are just a fun extra for me, nothing in that genre will really blow me away. yes micro is showing off some high level tech but i've seen the same level crap in a 5 year old arcade game in my basement. i was wowed when i first saw it but that was 5 years ago.

personally though, i perfer to play games with the controllers like PS3 or 360. i got a wii mainly for greats like Zelda and Smash, motion controls was just an extra

thats partially true and i applaud them for that. but thats nothing big really. Sony already revealed a game that only requires a controller if you want it to. heard of Eyepet?(i think thats the name) all you need is the playstation eye attachment and you can play the game, no controller necessary. so Natals 'no controller' idea is still nothing new. micro is just making more games for it and giving it a lot of hype, buts its just the latest version of an already existing idea.

i find that hard to believe because so far all you've really done is praise micro and put down the other 2.

and from a buisness stand-point Nintendo is making the most money off the Wii so technically they're doing everything right. which is why Microsoft and Sony are now trying to enter the motion-control market. common buisness practice: take a selling idea, change it up to make it unique but similar, sell to the public.

this is what really needs to happen↓
the Wii needs more good games and better online.
the 360 needs to finally fix its Red Ring and get more good exlcusives.
the PS3 needs to step up thier online.

therefore here is my conclusion.

The new xbox probably isn't in any rush, because NATAL (the future of gaming until i see other wise) so im guessing we won't see anyting for the next 3 or 4 years, maybe longer
