American Remake

Are you saying there's word about saying that Evangelion is making yet another movie? Lest you are talking about the remakes 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0.
I've seen 1.0 and was not really impressed by it. It had pretty much the same story line of the series. Only thing I liked was that the picture and sound quality was improved. Apart from that, the remakes did not REALLY have to be made. I think Gainax is just trying to make a bit of profit from this epic story. Also it seems to be aimed for those who have not watched the series or the movies as the remake just compile a number of episodes to make an action almost blockbuster <eww> like film to make it seem more like a theatrical movie.
2.0 is supposedly meant to hit the shores of Australia soon and I'll be watching it for a number of reasons. 1, There are new chosen children that weren't mentioned in the series. 2, New EVA Models which were mentioned but not shown in the series.
I'm kind of excited about the remakes because it may (or may not; which then I will be dissapointed) fill some of the holes Hideaki Anno left. Furthermore, Anno has announced that there will be an alternative ending from the OVA's and End Of Evangelion Movie which has left me wanting to watch all 4 when they are released for the ending of the series had left Asuka saying "Kimochi warui", which has multiple ways of being translated leaving us to come up with our own theories of what it meant. This new ending may be able to patch this up and answer many around the world.

So concluding all this, any further movies made for Evan may as well just turn it into a silly action film and destroy its actual meanings. Anno himself would feel really disgusted as the characters in the OVA's were snippets of his depression he was going through while making the series. You cannot turn something of this genius to popularity just to make a profit.
