Are we growing up

This thread feels like a really loaded question. Hopefully I can accommodate it.

I came upon KHP back July of twenty ot nine. I suppose I'd say that was "young," at least at heart, seeing as I was probably older than your typical person just getting into the whole "foruming" thing; I mean, I was nineteen and had only joined my first board like six months prior. lol. I know, mature for my age!

I can't recall exactly what I was like back then. I guess I wasn't all that much different than the way I am now. Maybe a little more naive to things and definitely more reserved in my socialization. I think the biggest strides that I've made over the years have been in opening up a bit more easily. Of course, sometimes I miss my old, introverted self, as I feel like I was more... inspired when I kept more to myself. Less time delving into others and more time to myself definitely fueled my early creativity. Maybe I can strike a balance somewhere.

As for where I am right now... well, having finally finished my undergraduate education, I got some exposure to my field, discovered that some things about it didn't quite appeal to me the way I thought they would, and am now trying to find a different angle to take on it. I'm actually looking to make a geographical move in the not-too-distant future.

So, @Hope, what about you?

EDIT: You think we might want to move this thread to a more open area of the forum? I know everyone that frequents here these days can view this area, but... eh, you never know.

 

Except she's held on for well over two years now... so... holding onto her words pretty damn well this time around.

 

Meh. Unless you know/knew her offline as well as online (and she's done the same thing out there), it's high time to get over it.

It's not worth the time to brood over people that have left one's cyber life.
