Best play order

What is the best playing order?

    I finally got all the KH games,KH1,KHCoM,KH2,KHBBS,,KHDays and KHre:C,and now i'll play every one of them,one by one,but i cant decide between playing in chronological order and release order,what do you guys think?

    ps: i think the title doesnt make sense,it should be best playING order,dont mind it please,english isnt my mother language

    Chronological. The story is clean and sweet.

    Days up until Axel leaves for CO

    that seems like alot of work right there Sho, I think he should just play them in order, since thats what alot of people did.

    So play KH1, KH Re CoM, KH2, 358/2 Days, BBS Recoded and then play 3DS.

    Hm... this would be MY best playing order. I do not know about 358/2 Days. Never did play it yet.

    BBS, Kingdom Hearts 2, Kingdom Hearts 1, RE: Chain of Memories, Re: Coded.

    lol wut? why KH2 before KH1? I would honestly just play them order from when they got released since thats what alot of people did.

    I would play them in the order the games were made and released. I think that would make the most sense, since the later games are all building on the groundwork of those that came before them.

    ... I don't know. He is asking "Best Play Order" so I was thinking maybe a "Gameplay Battle Order" experience... XD and I wanted to try to stay away from the norm.

    well if you meant the battle way then yeah your way is good (you better keep re coded down there) haha anyways you know what don't listen to us, look at the games and decide which one you wanna play first, as long as you play KH1 first

    I'd have to second Sho on this one. Chronological is definitely the way to go. It will pay off in the end.

    I'd say the order they were released. Chronological is good, but for the playability of the games, I'd suggest playing them in the order that they were released, because the playability of the games have been improving by every title, by what I know.

    And you will truly see how the characters have grown since each game, thats why I say play them in the order they where released.

    I voted for Release order because there might be something in one game that you'll miss and don't understand, because Nomura made the games in this order for people understand the story better.

    I just think it's common sense. KH I is the game that really established the characters and the way the universe exists. How can you put any of the other games into context if you have no idea what happened in the very first one?

    I mean, I won't say it's impossible to figure out the story or appreciate the characters if you picked up KH II first, or BBS first, or whichever, but I think you would be missing out on a lot.

    So, threw in my vote for release order, too, even though I've already said it in thread.

    I just think it would be better if everyone played them the year they where released just because this way you don't miss anything, and this way you won't get confused during a scene. Like I've been play KH Dream Drop Distance and there is alot of things that are new to me, that I'm still trying to understand. Just because it's been a while since I played a KH game. I thought Re Coded was the worst of them all.

    Stick with release order. Even if BBS technically came first chronologically it draws on a a lot of things established in earlier titles. It also just makes sense to play them in the natural order of their introduction.

    Chronological Order would make sense, however, I've played all the games in there Release Order (except I did play and beat KH II before I; Oops) and I find it makes perfect sense when you play the games in the order they were put out. The story makes a lot more sense because as it's been stated previously, some of the newer games come chronologically before others, however, they build off of older titles.

    If you've beaten all the games, I see no harm doing it in chronological order; but if you're starting out, it's best to play them in release order.

    I'm playing it Release order,but KH1FM instead of KH1,cuz i never played KH1FM,only the Unknow battle,my friend was getting his kicked by it and them i asked him to try,so release order:KH1(FM),KHre:CoM(i actually got GBA CoM but i have just beaten it),KH2,KHDays,KHBBS,KHreC(the worst kh game) and them keep dreaming about KHDDD and KH3
