This is a part of a tab obviously. I can get it but not without seriously hurting my hand :(

    Any help would be apreciated.

The easiest way I can see to play this is to sort of copy the idea of the FN cord. I put the steps below.

-Use your pointer finger across all six of the strings on the fourth fret.
-Middle finger on the second string, fifth fret
-Ring finger on fourth string, sixth fret
-pinky on the third string, also sixth fret.
    OR
you could also try all of the above except combine the last two steps into one by holding both the third and fourth strings with your ring finger.

If I knew what song you're trying to play I might be able to help more.

I think your first option is the easiest. I'm using the same tab for a song I'm working on right now. It feels a bit awkward at first I know but it helps if you try to have your guitar rest on your lap in a way that you dont have to stretch a lot to get your fingers to rest on the strings. Basicly, leave room for your elbow to be next to you and your wrist right directly under your hand. lol That seems obvious but you'll know what I mean when you try.

All in all just relax dude. haha That cord will make your hand want to shrivil up and die the first few times you try especially if you havent picked up a guitar in a while. Just keep at it, your hand will get use to it trust me.

I hope this helps you out some. Good luck.

Exactly what I was doing, mashing up my pinking finger badways.

Trying to play Moon on the Water, guitar and hand set up the way you suggested. I am on a small guitar though, smaller than average.

Cant link the direct tab as its on gp.

    Thanks for help.

If it's smaller than average it's probably about the size of the one I use for my school's guitar club. The smaller frets can make a song like that abit more difficult but hey it's a beautiful song, deffinately worth the effort. If it makes things easier, put your pinky on the fourth and your ring on the third strings. That way you arent putting so much pressure on the smallest finger but I'm sure you've probably already tried that. ;)

No problem. You'll have to let me know how it turns out. I'm sure it will be a really fun one to play once you get it down.
